The Dragon Lady.

Alisha's heart pounded in her chest as she tried to compose herself before the interview. She put on her best professional demeanor, but inside, she felt like a ball of nerves, unsure of what the future held.

As she stepped into the room, the elegance and sophistication overwhelmed her. The muted gray walls and abstract art pieces hanging on them created a cold, sterile environment. The large windows had let in plenty of natural light, but they had done nothing to warm up the atmosphere. The rich, dark wood of the interviewer's desk and the fashion books and magazines on the bookshelves behind her had added to the grandeur of the room, making Alisha feel even more intimidated.

The interviewer, a woman in her thirties, was dressed in a sharp, elegant suit that fit her perfectly. Her hair was pulled back into a neat bun, and her makeup was flawless. Alisha felt the cold, unapproachable gaze of the interviewer, making her nerves even worse.

Her thoughts were interrupted as the interviewer looked up from her laptop, and she took a deep breath to try and steady her nerves. The interviewer's sleek and stylish suit perfectly matched the wall behind her, and her elegant glasses added to her professional and serious demeanor.

The cold gaze of the interviewer locked onto Alisha, making her feel even more nervous. She wondered how she could impress someone who seemed so unapproachable and intimidating, but she knew she needed to make a good impression.

"Hello, Alisha," she said, her voice crisp and professional. "I'm Ms Lee, the Director of Fashion Designing Department here at Fashionista Couture. I'll be conducting your interview today."

Alisha nodded, feeling intimidated by the woman's stern demeanor. "Nice to meet you," she said, trying to sound confident.

The interview began with technical and difficult questions. Ms Lee asked Alisha about her experience in fashion designing, her knowledge of fabrics and trends, and her ability to manage a team. Alisha answered the questions as best she could, trying to sound confident and knowledgeable, but Ms Lee dominated every answer, never letting Alisha finish a complete thought.

Ms Lee leaned forward in her chair, her elegant glasses reflecting the light from the overhead lamp. Her eyes bored into Alisha's, making her feel uncomfortable and small.

Alisha tried to maintain her composure, but she could feel her nerves getting the best of her. She fidgeted in her seat, and her hands shook slightly as she tried to answer.

As the interview progressed, Alisha felt the weight of Ms Lee's questions bearing down on her. Each one was more technical and specific than the last, and she felt herself struggling to keep up.

Ms Lee leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms, a cold expression on her face. "Your portfolio is impressive, Alisha. But I have some concerns about this piece here," she said, pointing to a design Alisha had created for a previous client.

Alisha's heart sank. She had spent countless hours on that design, and it had received nothing but praise from the client. "What concerns do you have?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

"It lacks the creativity and innovation that we value here at Fashionista Couture," Ms Lee said, her tone harsh.

Alisha took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "I understand your concerns, but I have a solution. If given the chance, I would love to revisit that design and add more innovative and creative elements to it. I believe it has the potential to be something truly unique and special."

The Director of Fashion Designing Department leaned back in her chair, a slight smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Well, Alisha, I must say, you gave me quite a lot to think about. I'll be in touch soon to let you know if you made it to the next round."

Alisha's heart sank once again. She couldn't read the Director's expression, and she wasn't sure if she had performed well enough to move forward in the hiring process. She left the room feeling unsure of what the future held but proud of how she had handled herself in a high-pressure situation.
