1 Chapter One

"Aliama! Protect her, protect your sister at all cost. " The queen shouted so she could be heard above the clashing of swords and screams of her dying daughters.

Aliama did as instructed and dragged the little girl who was fighting aggressively away from the battle. She threw her over her shoulders and made her sit in front of her majestic horse while they rode away to safety.

The little girl tried to fight her sister and till only angered the older one.

"Quit whining or I would throw you off, I don't understand what mother finds so special in you, you're just a weak little girl, all these are happening because of you. "

She forcely turned the girl's head so she could watch the gruesome scene behind them.

"See that? it's all because of you, never forget that. You caused the death of all your sisters and our mother. " Aliama said with hatred written in her features.

Suddenly, someone yanked the girl away from Aliama's grip and gave her a death glare.

"You are signing your death wish by disobeying our Queen Mother Aliama. "

"We're already dead, Alora. She is responsible " She pointed to the little girl who was already crying due to the guilt she was feeling.

"I have no time to waste on you, she has to reach the other side safely, if not, our sacrifices today would all be in vain. "

Aliama snorted and turned her horse around "Deal with her, I can't stand her. "

"Yah!" She yelled and the horse sprinted towards the battlefield.

Alora lovely looked at the girl in her arms and charged towards the gate.

Unknown to her, enemies already spotted them as they followed moving swiftly that an ordinary being wouldn't be able to see them.

One launched into them baring it's fangs and claws, Alora expertly cut off it's head without flinching.

Her action angered the others and they charged towards them.

She turned on her still moving horse and drew her other sword as she braced herself for the attack.

The little girl held her small knife and shield looking fierce as she also prepared herself.

The enemies attached like a swarm of insects and they slashed and cut off anything their sword came in contact with.

Many fell but more kept coming, Alora worriedly glanced at the little brave child who she was proud of, the girl manged to take down half of them, despite her small self, she was small but powerful.

Alora gasped as she saw the incoming army, there was no way they could defeat all of them.

She turned towards the girl and held her cheek. "Ama, listen to me, we can't take down all this bad guys together, you have to run. I would hold them down while you run. Do you understand me? Run and don't look back. "

The girl shook her head in disagreement "I can't leave you ,we do it together, like we always do. "

Annoyance flashed across her face but she quickly masked it, the girl is one stubborn thing, but that wasn't what she needed right now. Alora looked back and fear was visible on her face, they were getting closer and the gate is still a little far away, they surely wouldn't make it on time.

"Ama, remember you always begged mother to take you along to see the other side, and know your wish can be granted."

"But I want to go with mother " The girl stubbornly said.

Alora shook her, trying to not fall into annoyance.

"Am going to stop soon to hold the bad guys, I can't hold them for too long that's why I need you to run through the gate immediately you get there, this is what Queen Mother ordered." She patiently explained.

The girl shook her head and Alora snapped. She flicked the girl's head making her fall into a daze.

"Listen to me Ama, run till you get to the other side, don't look back.

We would meet at the other side, I promise you. " She kissed her forehead tenderly as she sighed.

The girl nodded in understanding and Alora whispered to the horse and it neighed in response.

She jumped down facing the oncoming enemies.

The horse ran, taking the girl far away.

Alora said a silent prayer and ran forward, colliding with the dark armies.

I woke up, sweat pouring out of my body, I used my hand to locate the bottle of water on the table beside my bed.

I sat up and drank it all at a go. I lied back on my bed and the massaged my neck staring at the rolling fan.

I have being having this dream repeatedly for a week now, I didn't know the end of the dream, so I couldn't write about it.

I am a very popular and renowned author, but no one except my best friend Alicia knows about my secret.

All my creative writings were from my dreams, the dreams come and I write them down.

This story in my dream seemed like a promising one, more intriguing than my previous dreams, but I can't predict the story, I feel I wouldn't get it right.

That kind of story deserves a good ending. I rolled on my large bed, feeling restless for no reason. I decided to go back to sleep, I have to wake up later in the morning without eye bags telling the world I didn't sleep well.

Ten minutes later, I fell into a dreamless sleep.
