Meeting other survivors[2]

"I'm Blake… Blake Greville." He muttered, with a tinge of nervousness in his voice.

He wasn't someone very great in socializing, and despite learning that these man saved his life, he still felt shy around him. They basically just met, so he couldn't converse freely with the man.

Apart from that, his parent's death still weighed heavily on his mind, and even now, his hands were trembling at the sides.

"Blake Greville… noted. My name's Shane Hills, but you can just call me Shane." The man said, while stretching his hand towards Blake for a handshake.

Blake stared at Shane's hand for a moment, then back at his face before taking the handshake.

He tried to smile, however, his smile came off as rather awkward due to his nervousness and shyness, but the man didn't seem to mind it, and he smiled in response.

After introducing himself, the man went on to introduce the rest of those in the warehouse.

However, before he could even start the introductions, the brown haired woman from before, on whose laps he was woke up on suddenly came over to him.

Looking at her now, Blake realized she was actually quite tall, standing at 180cm. She had a slender figure that contrasted deeply with her busty chest, however, her body shape was still quite good.

She held his hand lightly with his soft palms and gave him a soft smile before saying: "I'm Patricia, you can call me Tricia for short."

"Okay…" Blake mumbled, feeling slightly nervous by her actions.

"I was the one that healed your injuries… and also cleaned your clothes, in case you were wondering how they aren't dirty." She said, before giving him a wink.

Blake's eyes widened slightly when he heard her words.

'Cleaned my clothes?' He thought, his eyes immediately moving towards his clothes.

He was putting on a simple shirt and thick black trousers, and back when the huge beast attacked him, he remembered that he fell and rolled on the ground, meaning his clothes must have gotten dirty.

However, when he checked his clothes, he realized that he couldn't find even a speck of dirt on them, and instead they looked brand new.

It was then Patricia's words rang in his head once more, and his eyes couldn't help but widen in shock.

'Did she mean sh—'

"Don't mind her words. That's just how Patri is, she's only teasing you." Shane said, breaking him out of his thoughts.

"Huh?" Blake muttered, to which Patricia giggled in response.

"I have a skill called [Cleansing Healing] and just as the name implies, it can be used for healing and also cleaning." Patricia said, explaining the use of her skill.

"Ohh…" Blake mumbled, finally understanding how she healed his injuries and also cleaned his clothes.

"It costs a bit of mana to use though, so you should know you owe me one now." After saying that, she giggled slightly before walking away.

"And it's Tricia… Shane." She suddenly started, pointing two fingers at Shane before walked away.

'Yeah. Yeah… Whatever…' Shane thought, barely holding back the urge to roll his eyes. However, he still couldn't hide the slight smile that appeared on his lips.

His eyes followed Patricia for a few seconds before he let out a light sigh and then turned back to Blake.

"Don't mind her, she's always like that." Shane said while shrugging his shoulders slightly.

A weird expression flashed through Blake's eyes as he nodded his head in reply to Shane's words.

After that, Shane went on to introduce the remaining people in the room.

He started from the golden haired girl he pointed at earlier. "That is Aria. She also joined us recently."

When he mentioned Aria's name, a slight frown appeared on his face, but it was only for a brief moment and no one noticed.

Blake simply nodded, noting her name down in his mind.

The girl in question didn't say anything to him, and only gave him the same flat look.

Even though he hadn't spoken even once, it seemed like she still didn't like him very much—not that he cared.

He didn't blame her though, just like him, all these people have probably lost something to the zombies and monsters roaming around, so it wasn't too surprising that they didn't seem so cheerful.

The only odd one here was Shane… along with that woman who healed him, despite the chaos currently in the world, for some reason they were still able to remain so cheerful.

It was as if they had no worries… and were simply unbothered.

After introducing her, Shane went on to point to another man resting at a corner of the warehouse.

Due to the dim lighting, Blake didn't notice him earlier, and even now, he had to focus a bit before he was able to see him clearly.

"That over there is Puck." Shane said.

As if he could hear what they were saying, the man whose name was Puck suddenly stood up and started walking towards them.

When he got closer to them, Blake was finally able to get a clear view of his appearance.

He had messy blonde hair, along with piercing black eyes. He was also very tall, standing at 190cm, but his aura was a lot more intimidating compared to Shane, though he wasn't as buff, only having a slender physique.

However, what caught Blake's attention was the pair of axes that he was holding tightly in his hands. Their blades were thick and pitch black in colour with edges tinted with red, the handle was bright red also, making the axe stand out due to its odd appearance.

The few other survivors sitting somewhat close to him subconsciously moved away from him, the pair of sharp axes in his hands making them feel wary.

Even though they already knew he was on their side, the sight of the axes sent shivers down their spine, it looked like something created just for the sake of killing and butchering.

Puck stared at Blake with a gloomy look on his face, before he slowly muttered: "Watch yourself… Kid."
