The demi-human girl, her large, pointed black ears twitching with curiosity, continued to watch the exchange between Morsan and Lelin. Her vibrant, otherworldly yellow eyes flickered with a mix of confusion and intrigue as she tried to decipher the meaning behind their heated conversation.

Morsan's outburst had caught her off guard, his voice echoing through that place with an intensity that made her flinch. She had never seen such anger directed towards Lelin, everyone around him treated Lelin with great respect. He is the kind-hearted man who gave her food and medicine when no one else would.

As Morsan's words hung in the air, the girl's brow furrowed, her mind racing to comprehend the situation.

She had only just met Lelin, but in the short time they had spent together, she had come to see him as a guardian, a protector.

With a tilt of her head, the girl's short, black hair cascaded over her cheeks, framing her delicate features.

She studied Morsan, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern.

What had prompted such a reaction from him? What was it about the medicine Lelin just gave her?

Morsan, now composed, approached Lelin, his voice lowered to a whisper after he realized that he startled the little girl.

"Hey Lelin, are you giving that medicine to the girl you first time met, seriously?!"

Lelin, on the other hand, remained stoic as he gazed into Morsan's eyes and questioned,

"Why are you surprised? Even someone as greedy as you lent a hand to that lad Vigeil earlier and refused to take any money from him after seeing his situation. So, why shouldn't I assist this young girl?"

"...But isn't it that elixir was costly? you just gave it to her like it's nothing, are you planning to buy her after the slave trader arrives tomorrow?"

Lelin fell into a contemplative silence upon hearing Morsan's question, pondering deeply on how he could assist the young girl. After a considerable amount of thought, he let out a frustrated sigh as he gazed upon Morsan's visage.

"I assisted this young girl out of pure empathy, as she reminded me of my children. I want to assure you that there are no ulterior motives behind my actions. Just like His Highness Egone once helped me without knowing my abilities or worth, I wish to extend the same kindness to this girl. However, I find myself at a loss as to what more I can do for her. I have already exhausted all my efforts in trying to cure her illness. As a demi-human, I am unable to legally purchase her from the slave trader, especially after I become His Highness's shadow, it would spread an unpleasant rumor. The only option I have left is to create false evidence of her death and help her escape to the Seaette territory. But after that, who will provide the constant medical care she requires? I am currently feeling quite perplexed and uncertain about what steps to take next."

Morsan took a look at Lelin's troubled face and the face the demi-human girl's face simultaneously.

Morsan couldn't help but be captivated by the sight of Lupiney, the demi-human girl trapped in a cage. Her wolf-like features, with ears, perked up and a large, black tail wagging, exuded an air of curiosity and innocence.

Despite the tattered white cloth she wore, which barely covered her modesty, and the dust that surrounded her cage, her charm remained undeniable.

But it was Lupiney's gaze that held Morsan's attention the most. Her captivating yellow, beastly eyes seemed to pierce through his soul, drawing him in with their intensity. There was a wildness in those eyes, a hint of untamed spirit that both intrigued and unnerved him.

'She is... not bad... at all...'

"Boy, what are you planning to do?"

As he was captivated by her yellow eyes, he snapped back to reality by Tizona's voice. His lips curved up and formed a playful smile as he looked at Lupiney.

'Hey Tizona, do remember my goal I spoke of?'

"Which one? Revenge for your father's death? or flying on top of the flying dragon?"

'Neither of them, I am talking about the slave harem that I wanted to create.'

"Hah! That bullshit you spout occasionally... so what's with that?"

'I think I found the first member for that...'

"BOY!... she is still a child!..."

'It's okay demi-humans will grow up faster... She will become an adult in no time if she leveled up a few times.'

"It's not okay at all!!"

Morsan glanced at Lelin as he ignored Tizona's voice in his head, he could see the distress etched on Lelin's face. It was clear that Lupiney's health condition had deeply affected him. Lelin's eyes were filled with a mix of sympathy and concern.

"Lelin can I take a look at her condition?"

Lelin shook his head as he heard Morsan. He looked so tired even to think about it.

"There's no use, no one even knows what's wrong with her condition. Even experienced doctors couldn't find the reason for her disease. You're just going to waste your time."

"Just let me give it a try, who knows maybe I could have saved her miraculously."

"What's with you suddenly?"

"Just let me give it a try."

Lelin had always known Morsan to be a reserved individual, so when Morsan suddenly displayed an unexpected burst of enthusiasm, it caught him completely off guard.

The excitement radiating from Morsan was palpable, and Lelin couldn't help but feel wary. But still, if she can cure he is willing to give it a try.

After pondering for a few moments, he nodded his head.

"...Okay, let's give it a try..."

Lelin crouched down before the cage, his eyes filled with concern as he gazed at the young girl before him.

Lupiney, with her wide, curious eyes, observed him intently, her small frame radiating both vulnerability and resilience.

Lelin spoke in a soft, reassuring tone, hoping to ease any apprehension she might have. "Hey Lupiney," he began, his voice gentle yet firm, "that person over there, Morsan, wants to help heal you. He's skilled in using healing magic, and he has the knowledge and skills to make you feel better. Would you be willing to cooperate with him?"

Lupiney tilted her head slightly, her curiosity piqued.

She had been through so much, her young life marred by pain and suffering. Even though a lot of people tried to cure her disease, no one succeeded.

Lelin continued, hoping to alleviate any doubts she might have.

"Despite his imposing appearance," Lelin explained, gesturing towards Morsan, who stood tall and strong nearby, "he's just three years older than you. He may look intimidating, but I assure you, he won't harm you. He has a kind heart and a gentle touch. Although he may not be the best person in every way, he won't do anything wrong to someone as innocent as you."

"O-oi, what's the meaning of that?"
