It had been a few weeks since she saw Denis; her life had not been the same. She had no peace. She thought she could do it. She was still much in love with him.

She sleeps in a huge mahogany queen bed with luxurious beddings. If she could afford the lifestyle she was living, then she got to have money. Looking at the ceiling and thinking through her life, she regretted a lot of it.

Denis was the nicest man she had ever seen. Though they shared a house, they slept in separate rooms. He respected her. Gave her space. He wanted to wait till they got married to claim her. That was what she wanted as well. But was the only one who knew it was a ploy to get him deep into her

'what was I thinking. I should have taken the document and sold the houses. No. No, that would have been wrong. They are not mine in the first place.

'I had betrayed him with his friend.'

Thinking up to that point, Irene made her mind to try and get Denis back. She knew for sure he still loved her.
