Heading to the Banquet Part 2 Making a Deal

A group of females were gathered in a part of the Sacred Family. Shen Hong and most of the elders were not there. Having headed out like several others Shen Yue passed over upon tracking down Shen Xiu.

"Ok, that is enough for today." Shen Xiu instructed. "Make sure you have your bags packed so you never have to see this place again. I wanted to save this for later but it seems we are out of time." She looked up feeling the overwhelming pressure lock her down.

*Bzzzzt!* A bolt of lightning hit the ground. Shattering the stone nearby. The disciples were sent away to continue packing.

Turning to Shen Xiu, he stared her down. "Gonna reveal yourself or not?" His eyes glowing purple, influencing the lightning.

"Very well." A different voice took over as a silhouette lapped over her. "It is good to see you again. Well, I have already watched you for a while. We have some time to talk before I depart."

"Why do you have to depart exactly?" Shen Yue's fist were balled up. "I can strengthen your soul and make it powerful enough to stay." Lightning and Fire danced around him. Death running along his body. She shook no to the offer. "Of course you don't want to stay. Should have known better."

*Pulse!* The Heart Method circulated calming him down.

"I am going to rest. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my time within Shen Xiu but.. she is a strong-willed one." Tianyin shook her head slightly amused. "Increased further from what you gave her. s well as the way you treat her. But she will not see past the outside and who you say you are. You are her nephew and that prevents her from advancing any further with you. Which is so odd considering her family tree."

"I see." Shen Yue was sad but it was a possibility all the same. "I believe Rexford had it right, monogamy just kills men like us bit by bit. Focus on one and you fuck up some how." He shook his head helpless.

"You don't believe that." Tianyin eyes narrowed at him. "That is what made me fall for you, what made you worth it to me. Mingyun saw something in you as did I."

"Yet both of you are gone. Well, you are about to be. By choice at that." Shen Yue kept his laughs in. "This is just perfect. Reminds me of back "home" a bit. Damn, I wish this would not have happened now. Should have not looked for you. Scared your little disciples."

"True.." Tianyin had nothing to say to that. " I have a day, at most. What should we do?"

"I am content with this. After all, you were at my side this way as I operated the Arrays with the Heavenly Towers. Or are you willing to use another woman's body to enjoy a day of pleasure?"

"No." Tianyin felt revulsion at thought. "Neither would you do so."

The two talk for hours before Tianyin grew weak. There were no cheerful goodbyes or anything of the sort as her eyes flickered and the silhouette dimmed. With a wave of the hand, Shen Xiu was sleeping.

"You are so different now, the remaining time I will use to strengthen her. To let her take care of the others acquired." Tianyin stopped as she felt the ribbon powered by her soul ascended to a different place. A different Realm. "The disciples will train as the Plateau, to help give them a fresh start. Grant me this one request."

Shen Yue said nothing as he kept his head down looking at the ground. His thoughts private and to himself only. Tianyin felt a little regret and wished he would answer her, but he did not.

*Shine!* With a flash of light, she vanished fully.

"Take her to her room to recover." Shen Yue said. The 2nd officer picked the woman up and left. An odd look on her face. "Take the day off tomorrow. Instruct the others to do so as well."

"Of course." Her voice said as it travelled to his ears.

"Haa, so much to do. So much time at my disposal." Shen Yue leaned back on his heels for a bit and started cultivating. "These Laws.. might as well achieve as many as I can o increase my Intellect."

*Bzzt!* He shot off to head to where most were. Some more funny business was going in the area.

Several moved towards the Banquet area. The City Lord's Mansion sent a notification to every Family's Experts were in attendance. With a few promising candidates to take out all at once in a single area.

Duan Jian went as the representative for the Dark Moon Family. Sikong Hongyue as the head of the Silverwing underneath them. Those from the Abyss Realm & Plateau were introduced as new members for the Dark Moon Family for the first time publicly. The Huyan Family already making an announced decision that they are under the umbrella and purview of the Dark Moon Family.

Xiao Ninger leading the Winged Dragon Family with several no longer doubting she leads the family and had grown to a significant level of strength. Enough to put them all on their toes. Accompanied by a strange white haired woman named Yu Yan.

A few members of the Heavenly Marks Family were there. Nie Li was walking around and was suprised to see his little cousin Nie Yu there. Nie Xiaori and Xiaofeng stood behind as bodyguards. Nie En and Nie Yu's father Nie Kai talked with people at the gathering.

"Xiao Yu, what are you doing here?" Nie Li walked over greeting his little cousin affectionately. The place was dangerous and he wishes he could have given his family more help since arriving back in the past. 'Bad enough the Teleportation Array only panned out a little. Still no leads on who carved out that giant hole in that territory back there.'

"Nie Li!" Nie Yu cheered. "I am here to see the show!" He placed his hand on top of her head giving her a pat. "Hehe, you are the same as Teacher!" The innocence of a child was still there despite her learning curve. "He does this to."

"Teacher?" Nie Li heard a little here and there but he was so busy that he didn't get to spend to much time back with his family. And when he did, most were bustling about working.

*Bzzt!* A bolt of white lightning appeared nearby. Shen Yue removed his hand very forcefully. Stopping the probing Nie Li was doing to her soul.

"I am her Teacher, you may call me Liang Yu." Shen Yue said gravely. The electric blue discharged from his eyes caused a few in the area to shudder in fear. "Try to probe my student again, and I will not be as forgiving."

"He didn't mean any harm." Nie Yu defended him. Nie Li was her family and was always good to her after all. "Teacher don't bully my cousin!" She playfully hit his legs. Upon contact, she felt a funny sensation. 'Big bro kitty is not here is he?'

Looking around quickly, Nie Yu felt odd.

"For you, this time I will not." Shen Yue gave her a headpat then moved away. "You two keep up the good work." Nie Xiaori and Nie Xiaofeng nodded in understanding. They were a little guarded against Nie Li now, as they didn't sense anything else before.

"Wait up." Nie Li followed Liang Yu as he moved in the area. "I don't know what you have planned or anything but if you care about my little cousin, you will get her out of here." He sent this directly to Shen Yu's ears only.

"I will do what I feel like with my student. She needs to understand the political intrgue of people to help her in the future." Shen Yue passed him a once over. "Her cultivation is already higher than yours and her mind is not bothered by .. well whatever is in that head of yours."

"To what end?"

"For the future. Kindness and Innocence like that is hard to come across. She needs darker people nearby to keep her safe and grounded. If she wants to, she can become a leader or just enjoy life. Keeping others honest." Shen Yue stated. A few guards were about to make trouble for him but Ye Hong came an intercepted them. "I have provided the foundation to the give her and those around her future choices. Is that a problem?"

Nie Li, tried as he might, he couldn't determine his cultivation. Which set-off to many flags. Not getting with him right now, he moved away to also not cause a scene. He spotted Ye Ziyun and rembered the discussion had with the City Lord.

Ye Ziyun was currently trapped in a barrier down below. Nie Li had improved it to accommodate against the strength she wielded. Leaving her unbelievably frustrated as she felt helpless.

"This is your father's arrangement." Nie Lie said stoically.

"I said let me out of here!" Ye Ziyun hit against the barrier with a stronger blow. It reverberated zapping more of her strength. "I am not a kid Nie Li! You are not the only one with plans at work!"

"I know, that is why I need you safe as well." Nie Li shook his head in dismay. "I love you to much to let you put yourself in danger like this. You died once before, I don't want to see that again!"

"And what about what I want!?" Ye Ziyun countered back. "I lost all of them to! You are not the only one who wants to stop the Sacred Family! You said it yourself, it cannot be done alone! Now let me out! I will not be kept here while everything I care about is threatened!"

For a brief moment, Nie Li was about to free her. But that changed as a flash of seeing her killed in front of his eyes appeared. Despite Ye Ziyun having a higher level currently, she was still not ruthless enough to fight against the Sacred Family and Dark Guild.

"I won't do it. You are the main female descendant of the snow-wind family, as well as one of the biggest political figures lately." Nie Li looked away unable to stare her in the eyes. "You are also the biggest weakness for us. With that Shen Yue out still recovering, I am sure this will push the Sacred Family even more so to make a move."

"I bet Shen Yue wouldn't do this to his people!" Ye Ziyun shouted completely angry now. "The way he looks at the woman he loves proves it! And she is his own aunt!" Many knew that Shen Yue coveted Shen Xiu. Also knew she was punished the same as anyone else.

"Tch!" Nie Li felt agitation at the mention of Shen Yue. "He belongs to that family! They bring down Glory City! We may have passed the hurdle of the Beast Horde, but that still leaves two more years of trouble!" No longer in the mood to speak nicely, he walked away leaving her trap inside. "Don't worry, it's just a mere Sacred Family and Dark Guild. They won't be able to cause to much trouble. I will be back soon."

"Grrr! That cockiness is why you lost to Shen Fie in the tournament!" Ye Ziyun couldn't get over his arrogance. Didn't matter if he was over 500 years old with years of experience, he took to much for granted and thought he knew it all. "Wait till I get out of here!"

A few minutes passed before she felt that she was no longer alone. Turning around, put her face to face with a man in white and blue. The smell of lightning had her apprehensive.

"Why are you locked away in here against your will?" Shen Yue asked. For the life of him, he couldn't understand how this still happened to her. 'If my Astral Sense would not have picked her up, then I wonder if she would have just sat here all night?'

Seeing as he was able to enter the barrier and he had not struck her yet, Ye Ziyun explained what happened. Then they enter the bargaining phase.

As Liang Yu, he would help her solve the Sacred Family issue and she would help get him the Snow-Wind Spirit Deity. As well as become her backing for five years. Which was something she couldn't pass up.
