Beiming Mountain Day 110-140 Part 1

"We are going to train and gather all that we need from the land itself." Liang Yu said while they walked. Emergency supplies and rations were in his Internal Space. Popeye walked in the back with the younger members that followed. "The more you trust me, the more I am willing to train you further."

"How long will we be in the mountains?" Ye Mu asked. He joined for one part taking Liang Yu as his teacher. The other part as he was instructed by Old Ye to watch over those who left with. The old man was hoping if they changed their minds they could return to the family.

"Three weeks or maybe four." Liang Yu turned back half way. "When this is over, the weakest will be at the 5th Heavenly Layer. While the strongest will be at the 6th or 7th. But it will be really hard. That is the bad case scenario if things are cut short."

"If they are not cut short?" Liang Jian asked. His weapon gripped tightly as his eyes looked around. 'Our people is mostly made of the Ye clan for now. I don't like this. But the others at the academy are with their family during the downtime and the Dark Moon members I think will come over are most likely under close watch. But grandfather Liang Yin should have moved sneakily enough by now.'

"7th Heavenly Layer..." Ye Xingyun mumbled shocked a little.

"Four weeks or maybe a month." Liang Yu turned back half way again. "When this is over, the weakest will be at the 5th Heavenly Layer. While the strongest will all be at the 7th. But it will be really hard. That is the good case scenario. Lots of techniques to try to make up for the weak bodies you all have."

"I was able to get word to a few at the Academy that follow us." Liang Jian added in. "It won't be much help but we will have a few more people fighting with us later. More ground to cover while we train and a chance to find more stuff."

"You are doing strange moves grandson." Liang Yin said. Having caught up with them easily enough since Liang Yu did not hide their movement really. As far as the patriarch knew, the old man was checking over several places to make sure no rebellion was taking place. "I would like to join you, if that is not an issue of course"

"Of course grandfather, just do not cause any trouble." Memory served the man sided with Liang Yu when everything happened originally. With everything going on, it would be nice to have the backup as well as someone to help hunt down beasts. "I am sure you are aware of everything, so I will not waste words. Are you able to bend thy knee to me?"

"I will not answer that now." Liang Yin waved the question away. He signaled a few behind him to step forward. "These fine men and women were trained by me over the years. I saved them from the wrath of a few families. They are loyal and strong."

"5th Heavenly Layer, how nice." Liang Yu muttered. He gestured for Liang Yin to walk with him for a bit. The moment they were far enough away he dived right into some matters. "You understand what I will do to the Dark Moon Family yes?"

"I am very aware." Liang Yin stared at his grandson unflinching. "I have no doubt you do not have a plan to deal with the patriarch but what about my father? He won't let this go easily."

"No matter really. I will deal with him so you do not have to dirty your hands." Liang Yu said over his shoulder. "The Dark Moon family secret chamber under the patriarchs room, it is all yours to cultivate that method their. I have no interest in something that will effect the very "core" of a person so deeply. I will check however."

"You know of it!" Liang Yin was taken back a little. Aware that it was in the clan grounds but unable to find it himself with all the guards in the family. Afterall, it was only practiced by the Patriarch of the clan. "I will not be to polite and thank you for the chance. I only wish your father was alive to see the change in the family."

"He is only dead due to the working of the Dark Moon Family. Standing to tall made him the target of his kin. Well a jealous brother." Liang Yu felt that bit of information was something to share with the man. "I found out from a Dark Moon member that overhead during the Patriarchs more drunken nights. He bragged even about killing his own brother."

"So the rumors were true then." Liang Yin felt a small not in his heart was removed. The story given to him was not believable and left doubt in his heart but to find out the truth from his own grandson was more hurtful. "Are you sure you want to go on this path?"

"Hmm oh!" Liang Yu was confused for a moment. "Yes. Just some small matters really. Just won't be able to sit idle with all the craziness all about. Better to be an open target than one in the dark."

"Then this Oldman will do all he can to help you." Liang Yin said heartfully. "Just give me some time to get some things together."

"Do what you feel is right. I have my own plans for now." Liang Yu turned back to head towards the others. "When we get back, I will make sure to give you something to help your cultivation. No sense in letting you be weak. Need more people to trust near me."

Liang Yin watched quietly as his grandson walked off. Feeling the events that happened at the Academy changed him greatly. The oldman had no idea that was definitely not the reason for the change but no sense in telling him that.

As they took a break after moving for hours they came across a powerful Demon Beast. A Scarlet Serpent at the 7th Heavenly Realm. A few cowered but Liang Yu walked up unbothered. The perfect chance to push his cultivation and gather resources was in front of him, how could he not take the chance.

By the looks of the demon beast, it thought him easy pickings at first. But it was smart enough to know when to be cautious. The fact the other humans moved away was a sign that "this" human in front of it, had a few tricks up its sleeve.

*Fwoosh!* An intense green flame appeared around the snake. It's eyes now leaking a green type of qi as well now. The Scarlet Snake had a type of Flame Poison in it's body. This gave it an advantage against others that were even stronger than it.

It would not give it an advantage against Liang Yu at all. The Flame Vortex Core qi could take care of the poison if it seeped into Liang Yu. As for the quality of the flames themselves

Liang Yin wanted to get involved but held himself back.

"Liang Jian keep watch and alert me if anything is odd. I will focus only on fighting the demon beast." Liang Yu shot forward in a lunge. 'Everything so far was to hone the others. I will not slack on my self!'

*Fwish!* A flame spear appeared in his hands. The technique Fire Body activated as well. Boosted by the use of his Flame Vortex Core, it moved better than normal around him.

Jumping forward, Liang Yu threw the spear and instantly produced another. Flames shot out of his body shooting him forward. A flame circle appearing behind with each burst forward.

"Hiss!" The snake lunged back and brought it's tail around in a terrible swipe. The terrain underneath affected by the speed pressure produced. "Hissss!" The first spear hit it in the trachea. The flames pushed against each other violently.

The tail of the snake curved up. The tip catching Liang Yu in the chest. His body sturdy enough to ignore the damage mostly. But the tip was just to sharp! A few specks of blood coming out from the impact.

As the tail moved around it cut through the ground. Small traces of soil wrapping the tail up. In an instant it hardened. The wounds were gone just that quick.

Landing against a tree. Liang Yu went back at it. The snake having pulled away in slight fear. Seeing as Liang Yu looked unfazed from its flames, did not bode well at all.

*Snap!* The snake tried to swallow him whole but missed. But it was an actual feint as Liang Yu had dodge right into the tail that came up.

"Tsk!" Liang Yu braced himself for the pain and prepared to pay it back quickly. The tail did not cut as it pierced this time. Only a little bit. 'The acceleration of this thing is just to fast!'

With a stab down with both hands, Liang Yu pierced the tail of the snake before it pulled away. It jerked fiercely dislodging his attack. The tail came back around and smacked him in the chest.

Smashed into another tree, Liang Yu circulated his lighting. Moving in a pattern similar to a snake, he moved across the ground quickly. Faster then the striking tail but it was hard for him to counter attack while moving now.

The snake started to get frustrated. A human moving faster than it just ticked it off. It pulled back and fired a green flame from it's mouth. Liang Yu stopped and focused a Flame Shield forward.

*Boom!* An explosion flushed out from the concentrated conflicting qi. Before the smoke could dissipate, a blast of fire shout out.

"Hiiisss!" The snake was pierced in the head by a flame spear. Lighting immediately discharged keeping it in place for a moment. It's eyes bloodshot as it looked at Liang Yu in hatred. It's tail shout out when every bit of its qi to kill him.

Several blood vessels exploded in the snake from it forcing its body to move under the effect of the lighting. Liang Yu grabbed hold of the tail as it thrashed around the moment he grabbed hold. It smashed him into the ground trying to kill him brutally and escaping quickly.

'Here we go!' Liang Yu flushed flame qi from his fingertips into the snake. Guided by traces of the lighting, it called to the flame as it reeked havoc inside the demon beast. 'These effects should cause a close resemblance to the old to help further understand qi based burns.'

The snake thrashed a little more before falling backward twitching. Liang Yu moved quickly as it was still alive. Placing his hands next to its eyes he effectively blew its brains out with fire.

"That was not a clean kill." Liang Jian said simply. The others not daring to say much about it. "Thought you would take it on easily."

"I was trying some things. First time I used my flames to propel me forward." Liang Yu shrugged. "As well as try to send my flame inside a living creature that big. Both were fruitful endeavors. No broken bones and my body passed the stress test with ease." He rolled his shoulders not finding anything wrong with himself.

"Are we eating this one to?" Linlin asked.

"No, I need that one for teaching an autopsy later." Liang Yu answered. "Anyway, let's continue onward. I need to fight some more snakes to help me understand something further."

The next few days were plenty eventful and a bit of an eye opener. The ye members were seriously lacking on facing life or death situations. Well against beast anyway. A small bandit group they didn't flinch as bad to blood landing on them.
