Beiming Mountain 110-140 Part 3

Liang Yu woke up groggy as can be. His body ached worse than anything he felt before. Instead of it recreating like before, it held on this time and was really battered from him resisting the pull. Less time to recover with his qi but very painful all the same.

'At least I know more now of the surroundings and a few martial art techniques I can fix up more.' Liang Yu stood up and got dressed. Exiting the tent showed a good sight to him. Everyone was training and enjoying themselves. With a quick spread of Astral Sense he was able to determine quite a few beasts moved further from them. 'The Dragon Vein in this mountain must belong to me. That was my first thought anyway but I remember a little more now. Other treasures are available to gather up. With it, I am sure the Flame Vortex Core will grow immensely if not in power but in understanding some more.'

"Morning Liang Yu." A young female came over to him. She did a simple salute before making a request. "Do you have anything deep for me to practice as a Ice Martial Artist?" Her cultivation was rare and one of the few that popped up in clans every now and then. Hard to come by techniques for it. 'I wonder if he remembers I attend the Academy with him?'

The two never met before coming to the mountains.

"Actually I do." Liang Yu grabbed a scroll and started writing and drawing a few diagrams. It took about 10 minutes before he finished it. "Here you go. Good enough to the 4th Heavenly Layer but I am sure you can find other things to supplement it. A lot of the Flame Martial Art techniques corelate well. Just the methods changes. But resources.."

"Resources are scarce." She held her head down. "I know."

"I was gonna say takes a while to obtain and produce but I have a few and can get a few more to help in the future." Liang Yu pulled out a pearl from the internal space. It was really small and was produced by the Oysters that thawed out from the lake. He was happy to not have eaten or sold them. "Would take to many years for them to develop into something to sell. But the chill they produce in water should be able to help you cultivate at night as well as in various waters in the day time."

"Yes! Thank you!" The girl was ecstatic. She took the pearl and went to work in the lake nearby. Popeye and the flock of birds followed along. Reading what was jotted down, she felt even happier about her decision. 'Liang Yu drew this up in front of me! I wonder what else will happen when following him?'

"I am going to go and search deeper, Liang Jian and Linlin are in charge until I return." Liang Yu announced. Everyone nodded in understanding but Ye Mu wanted to go with. That was shut down pretty quickly. "Better you all stay in a group close with each other. In case of an emergency, throw this and run. Do not, practice with it, it is a death saving device."

He passed over a few balls with compressed lighting qi in it. So balled up and volatile, the slightest bit of qi injected would cause it to react.

"Umm ok." Ye Mu nodded tucking it away for safe keeping. 'I wonder what he really plans on doing?' With a shrug, he went back to training.

"Humm, I think he will be fine." Liang Jian said cheerfully. "He is doin it for all of our futures so we must have hope." Turning to Linlin, the two went back to going over matters.

Not to far away Lin Yin was training diligently inside her tent still. The glass given to her by Liang Yu was so violent and powerful she was still absorbing it. Her cultivation had improved greatly but not her level.

Her slow approach changed the way it was suppose to work.

After absorbing all the energy from the breakdown of the various people and demon beasts his own memory was increased by a lot. One thing that popped to the forefront was that a treasure was nearby even more so for the picking.

'Best thing about knowing what happens, is the chance to get some benefits. It will be a month or two before the various clans try to get involved in this place again.' Liang Yu thought it over while moving. His lighting qi pushing his moment faster and faster along. 'The guy Ling Yu was the a big issue during that time. As well as the suitor for Xia Yuning. I don't care what will happen when they arrive here later, so best to clean it out. Wish I knew how to find that blasted fruit on the island. Divine Eclipse Fruit would be great right about now.'

Arriving at the location that matched the entrance he remembered, Liang Yu channeled his Flame Vortex Core qi into the ground. It spread about the length of a football field before locating the correct target.

With a push against it, a cave appeared. Not wasting any time, he charged at it.

*Bzzt!* Lighting gathered around his fist as Liang Yu made contact with the barrier. Exerting his qi quickly, the barrier dissipated long enough for him to slip inside. Lighting was pretty good at disrupting things. And the restriction was just another thing that needed a little nudge in different ways.

Slipping inside, Liang Yu made his way. All along the corridor, torches were already lit up.

'Hmm, those young Star Cultivators are part of that group that comes later with the group. A good chance to get them for my own needs. Odds are they will die with out a lot of help maybe. Lei shows up to that place as well.' Thinking about the young Thunder Family member, Liang Yu made up his mind to come to the place later again.

Running along, lead to an open room a few minutes later. Several different directions and staircases scattered about.

From memory alone and text was not good enough to find which way to go. Liang Yu went to the closest staircase to see what was there. Running through he spotted a few of the gems embedded in the ceiling.

Kicking up the wall, Liang Yu popped a few out for study later.

"Luminescent Night Pearls, these things are old and still hold qi in them. Worth experimenting with later. Might be a good substitute for the glass I use to help the others." Liang Yu decided to take every other one while traveling down the path. Thoughts on what happens again on what happens around the timetable of this place. 'The Imperial Guard sent people here as well. They are wiped out as well causing an issue for the populace. Grand Commandant of the Imperial Guard Hong Guang will cause trouble. His thugs will pillage the place.'

Considering the first force is wiped out by the rebels or the Shenhai Pavilion or who ever was really behind it did not matter at the time. The fact their bodies were left behind, it would be a great chance for Liang Yu. Snatching them up for refinement would help with things further with understanding the greater dynamics involved.

Six Thousand would be killed, but not like he could prevent it. No real connections really and he was not about to say something that would make the army think he was some type of traitor that orchestrated this to elevate himself.

"I have to find some benefits here!" Liang Yu was determined as more information was pulled forward. 'After I take out that bastard leading the Dark Moon Family currently, I will need to get ready for those who like him. Such as that Liang Zhan Tian. He is at the 8th Heavenly Realm and troublesome as I am now. But that is if I fight him alone.'

Entering a room full of traps, Liang Yu immediately turned around to go through another passage. If not for Astral Sense, it would be troublesome to navigate through the traps. Let alone find them.

"Welp, guess I will have to jump the old man then." Liang Yu shrugged. No sense in risking a one on one. "Nobility can suck an egg, I am trying to make a change for my life to be better while here."

Liang Yu found nothing that was easy to obtain besides the Luminescent Night Pearls. He even triggered a few traps when trying to obtain some Cultivation Manuals. The good news, it was all fire based ones that try to burn him to death.

Absorbing it all into his Flame Vortex Core helped to refine as resource later. The arrows that were shot at him however did hurt a bit. The entire time he moved he was force to circulate his qi to recover and improve his healing.

"Haa, three blasted manuals and some rotted herbs." Liang Yu grumbled as he walked forward. "Not even halfway done with searching yet. Glad I didn't bring the others, high chance someone would have died already."

While walking he made it to a dead end by mistake. Frustrated, he kicked a rock forward. The rock passed right through the wall. Looking almost like a drop in a pool of water. Slightly shaken he thought about it.

"Hmm, promising maybe." Liang Yu stepped forward entering the room. Several crates and weapon wracks were inside. "Pay.. dirt!" Quickly he moved to the crates and checked them. They were the same as he thought them to be.

Gold and jewels were stored in his Internal Space. The crates themselves were left behind. The weapons looked ok at first glance but were pretty worn. They to were left behind.

"Of there is something else in here if memory serves." Liang Yu sat down and circulate his qi. The Flame Vortex Core started to throb along with the Metal Seed pulsing out. "Found it!" After a few return vibrations the target was found.

Stepping forward and touching the walls, he felt a strange reaction. A few symbols lit up but that was all. Either it was not accepting of him or he did not qualify, it didn't matter to Liang Yu.

'Memory serves that something nice in here was left behind by Ye Xinghe when he comes in a few weeks.' Circulating his Flame Vortex Core qi only, Liang Yu reared back and punched. It destroyed the wall outright. "I am not that foolish!"

*Boom!* His flame fist destroyed the wall revealing a inner chamber inside. A set of green bones inside of a circle was the most eye catching. Several runes on the ground preserved the bones in a way as well as act as a trap itself.

"Hmm?" Liang Yu looked at the bones then at the table in the room. "Right, a will." Picking the parchment up, he read it over. Unaware the Skelton had eyes that lit up a little. It reacted to his Flame Vortex Core presence. "During his lifetime, Emperor Tianling took on five Demon Kings ensuring a hundred years of peace for humankind.....

With the strength of just one person at that...

From then on, he was considered a god....

But in the end, he was unable to defy the will of Heaven...

Reading it over a lot of it was conflicting information.

"How the hell did he write the will if he was dead?" Liang Yu shook his head looking at the saucer on the table. "Did he assume he would fail and prepare beforehand? I seriously doubt it. Doing so would have definitely made it difficult for him to breakthrough."

Placing some wine in the saucer he walked over to the Skelton. Setting it down in front, Liang Yu started to cultivate a little. Sending his qi towards the bones to check for a reaction.

Hours passed with nothing happening. The only strange thing was that the wine in the saucer disappeared.

"I honestly do not think you are his bones. It just does not add up." Liang Yu shook his head denying it. As he sat, he was wrapping both the Flame Vortex Core qi and the Flame Martial Arts qi around the runes forcefully. "You are dead and technically left a mess behind with these treasures. I need all the help I can get, so I will be impolite as they say around these parts!"

*Koon!* A shattering echoed passed though the place. The runes were broken forcefully as the bones were snatched up. Two things immediately happened.

The Flame Vortex Core snatched the bones up. Placing it into the very center. The second thing that happened, the Metal Seed gained a slight green shine before turning back to normal.

"Corpses, leftovers, and everything I find will be used by me to obtain my goals." Liang Yu said simply. "I have no need for the notion of respect that others have. Living is more important to me as well as keeping those close to me alive."

He turned leaving the room briskly. It was better to leave the place considering his qi was low and was taking awhile to recover.
