Nightmare

The day had gradually disappeared. Connie lay lazily on the bed with her body too weak and eyes that keeps closing itself everytime she tries to open them . She felt her body wasn't has as she had no control over it. The drugs the nurse had given her was extremely effective . Although hours had passed it still had the upper hand in her body. The sound of matching footsteps continuously grow and wakes her from her unending sleep also the smell of disinfectant filled her nostrils making her uncomfortable. Her stomach rumbles. The gnashing pain on her back and waist kept hitting her making her forget the noises outside the room . The room wasn't hot yet her face was covered with sweat and her right cheek burns profusely. The torments continued . Her eyes watered with tears. Every thing was enough to tear her down.

She had a nightmare and in it a strange figure was trying to stab her but it was replaced with a sweet dream. In her sleep, she saw a male figure waving at her with a lady by his side. She waved back with her little hands. She was a baby and might have been around age three or four . Some one took her from the ground where she sat . It was an elderly woman. She carried little Connie in her right hand with no care of the bandage in the left that had been soaked in blood . It was her grandma. The sound of her ageing voice that sounded melodious in ear made her remember how she missed the voice . The sweet tone in her ears. She smiled at the old woman who crippled her way inside the small building with her smiling face looking down at little Connie. Connie smiled back wildly. Her milk teeth was revealed with a tooth missing. She shook her curly red hair as she smiled. She traveled with her grandma into the house and her eyes won't stop looking at her with joy . Not caring the blood stain in the old woman eyes . The eyes that seems to know it all and see it all. it was like a mirror that reflects images so deep like and ocean you could see your own soul in her blue eyes. Connie looked around and still listening to the sweet sound coming out of her grandma's mouth. She saw her aunt , Ann by the side of the living room dressed in a police uniform with legs crossed and hand wrapped around her . She was so unhappy . When she looked at Connie with the look on her face Connie smile vanished.

The sound of gun shots woke her up . Her head ached and so with her body. The gnashing pain that was emitting from her back came back making her aware that it hadn't left. She looked around her and quickly realised she was in a hospital. A noisy hospital. The crazy sounds of shooting continued and she quickly stood up looking for a place to hide . She managed to squat under the bed before the door opened. It closed quickly too. Some one shouted " No body here" and walked away.

" All clear." Another person said. The voice sounded familiar but she couldn't place it.She wandered what might have happened for her to be in a hospital. She saw the bandages on her right arm and leg. Moment ago she was with Ali and Hassan. No she was leaving their house and .... She weeped feeling bad that someone had hit her and still brought her to a scary hospital. She searched for her phone but it was no where. She decided she had been kidnapped again and started to cry. When the place stilled she stood up contemplating what to do. She was in the upper part of the hospital and there was no way for her to go down with out notice . She wondered what might be going on in the hospital.

In the one of the store room of the hospital she took a lab coat and walked out like any doctor would just that she look too young . The men around didn't mind as she walked around. She took the elevator to the last floor but there many men crowded the vicinity . She decided to go back in search of her phone. The elevator took her straight to the VIP room where she saw an elderly man lying down with lab machine all over . Something about the man reminded her of her grandma in her dream . She really missed her . She wished she could go home for a visit but what would she tell her happened to her studies. She walked to the man with pity in her eyes . " Get well soon " She whispered in his ears and his eyes opened . Connie froze. The door slide open and she turned to see the Handsome guy from the restaurant where she worked part-time. 'What was he doing here ?' Connie asked herself .

" Who are you ? " He asked as he strode to her . Jack quickly recognise her. " You are not a doctor here why are you putting on that coat. She looked around unable to give a good explanation. " How did you get in here? " Jack dragged her with the coat and pin her by the wall. " Who sent you ? Who? " He yelled at her making her scared and confuse.

" Hey ! Em...." When the word won't come out from her mouth Jack dragged her to the restroom by the side away from his uncle and push her inside .

" I will kill you if you move from there " He said before closing the door. " Luca!" Jack shouted his friend name. But by the time he came back she was gone . When they checked every where for her they only found the coat she 'd wore next to the trash can out side. Jack swore he 'd find her . He was happy he got something at least. Jake rushed to see the culprit Jack had caught but it was too late.

" Jack you can't be messing around when you know we Uncle is lying on the sick bed." Jake warned.

"If your girlfriend hadn't try to kill him am sure he won't be on that bed." Jack walked away with certainty that he 'd get the girl.
