When Cara was finished fighting she glanced over at James and had managed to hear the words, "That's impressive." In reference to her fight.

She had been told this many times in her life by many different people whether it be about her fighting or cultivating ability.

However, for some reason when it came out of the mouth of James it had a completely new ring to it. It was a ring that shook the core of her soul and her heart beat erratically.

'W-what an amazing feeling~! Please compliment me more!' Cara thought to herself as a huge smile erupted on her face for all to see.

"Look! She smiled! The Ice Queen actually smiled!" Someone shouted in shock while pointing at Cara.

At this point, there was no point in even pointing since so many people already had their gazes locked on Cara.

While Cara was smiling she didn't notice that her next opponent had entered the ring ready to fight her.

When she finally did notice the person shock immediately took over her face, "J-James what are you doing?!" Cara asked in clear confusion.

"I'm learning how to fight of course. I may not have learned a lot so far but I think I will pick up on more if I just jump in." James reasoned as he took out his black sword.

When James took out the black sword with the red veins on it many people now looked at him in shock, "Is that an artifact?! Where did someone like him get one of those?! It looks to be at least a Dao Forming Realm artifact!" A Third Stage Elementary Realm Disciple shouted as even he couldn't tell the true power hidden behind the item despite his cultivation.

The one shocked the most out of all the people was Cara as her jaw was left slack seeing the power of the sword. In comparison to her own Cara could tell that the item was more than likely a little better than hers!

It came as a shock to her considering she was a Sworn Sword Disciple but instead of being mad, she was quite pleased. For some reason, her mind was telling her that it was only natural for James to have such an item and if she had an extra sword she would have given him one herself.

"Since you want to fight, bring it! I will lower my strength to your realm and we will fight." Cara explained to James as everyone could feel her pressure and power slowly lower until it was a Peak Stage 1 Elementary Realm cultivation.

Once Cara was like this James got in his stance placing the sword in front of him in the air like he had seen many people doing.

James knew that he was completely outmatched when compared to Cara but he still wanted to be able to put up a decent fight. James wanted to be able to break through in this fight and push his limits.

With these thoughts in mind, James began making his way toward Cara in a completely defense-focused stance.

Cara gazed at him as he did this smiling at the fact he wasn't blindly running toward her thinking he would be able to overpower her with strength or technique.

Since Cara also knew he was unlikely to attack first she went toward him and swung her sword down.

When James saw the incoming attack he immediately reacted by turning his sword sideways and letting the blow hit his sword.

When the two connected James was shocked by the strength Cara was still able to display and was almost sent straight to his knees.

However, James refused to give up now and churned the Qi inside of his body using every ounce of his strength to push back the sword throwing it off of him before throwing a sideways attack of his own.

Cara was of course ready for this and deflected the attack making the two start going back and forth with blows that slowly and slowly got faster and more ferocious in time.

"I-is that the new disciple?! How is he fighting so fast with Cara already?!" Someone shouted in shock as they watched.

"He must have been training outside for many years there's no way he can improve this quickly!" Someone else shouted as they saw the skill displayed by James now was like night and day from before.

What those people didn't know was that James and Cara were also surprised as well. James had no idea why he felt his mind was moving at a much faster pace than usual and Cara was just shocked he had been able to hold on this long and was now even going at the pace of an Inner Disciple.

The cause of all this was unknown to everyone as inside James' dantian the black Qi was now constantly swirling inside of him activated by his strength making it spread at an even faster rate and enhancing James' capabilities to the maximum.

Cara even found herself slightly improving in this situation due to the same black Qi inside her dantian but at a much smaller level than James. However, at her level, any kind of small improvement was a huge deal.

As the two continued to fight Cara suddenly decided to end it all with a full-force swing straight at James.

James saw what she was doing and also decided to risk it all by swinging with all his might letting the swords connect at a high arc.

At that moment James felt like every muscle and bone in his body was about to explode. In addition, there was a rising feeling in his stomach that it was going to burst at any second.

This feeling kept rising and rising increasing the power output James had in his sword which ever so slightly pushed the battle in James' direction making Cara lose her edge in the fight until finally, James felt his stomach explode like it was a bustling ocean finally let free.

He had finally broken into the second stage!
