ULTIMATE ENEMY

Ten years in the future, much of the Earth has been ravaged and left in ruins. Amity Park remains as a heavily fortified city and has become a bustling futuristic metropolis. It is protected by a huge ghost shield, operated and run by Damon Gray, while his 24-year-old daughter Valerie serves as the city's sole protector from the ghosts that try to attack from outside.

The ghost shield was nigh-impenetrable and had protected Amity Park for ten years, until one new, very evil and very powerful ghost uses his newest power, the Ghostly Wail, to easily break through the ghost shield. Valerie is then ambushed by the Fright Knight, who reveals he is now in servitude to the new ghost.

She heads to safety in Fenton Works, now occupied by her and her father; the Fenton family is nowhere to be seen. The new ghost gets through from below, and reveals himself to be an adult Danny Phantom. He then blows up the entire house. All this is being watched by Clockwork, ghost master of time, and the mysterious Observants. As the Observants can only watch and never interfere, they task Clockwork with saving the future - by destroying the present Danny Fenton.

In the present, Lancer makes a public announcement to the students of Casper High School about the Career Aptitude Test, which will determine their future. Jazz already passed with flying colors, while another classmate named Irving failed and now works for minimum wage at the Nasty Burger. Irving tries to explain that his job is very important, because if the Nasty Burger special sauce were to overheat it could cause a massive explosion, but none of the other students seem to care.

Lancer shows the students that he has the folder containing the answers to the test, then locks the folder in his briefcase. Clockwork and the Observants watch all this from Clockwork's lair. The Observants urge him to destroy, and Clockwork obliges.

Back home, Jazz tries hard to get Danny to study for the C.A.T., but this makes him even more frustrated about how he feels she's smarter than he ever will be and how little success he feels he will gain. He is then hit by the Booo-merang, a new Fenton device designed to home into a ghost's unique ecto-signature. His parents are confused why it keeps targeting Danny, and suggest that it might be malfunctioning.

Box Lunch, daughter of the Box Ghost and the Lunch Lady Ghost, comes from the future to the room Danny and Jazz are in, sent by Clockwork destroy Danny. Jazz quickly leaves upon seeing the ghost to let Danny handle the situation. Danny transforms and the two fight, eventually flying all the way to the Nasty Burger where his friends and Mr. Lancer are.

Danny remembers what Irving said about the Nasty Sauce and throws a packet of it at Box Lunch and heats it with his ghost ray, causing a huge explosion that destroys half the building (and damages the machines in the boiler room, causing it to slowly rise in heat). The explosion flings Danny back to where a crowd has gathered. His trajectory takes him straight through Lancer's briefcase, which he phases through.

Everyone runs away, and there is no sign of Box Lunch. Danny finds a medallion that he remembers Box Lunch was wearing, as well as the answers to the C.A.T. which he had inadvertently phased out of Lancer's briefcase. The Observants urge Clockwork to send another ghost to stop Danny, but Clockwork now ominously claims that Danny's future is sealed.

The next day in school, Tucker and Sam berate Danny for what they see as him planning to cheat on the C.A.T., which Lancer overhears. Opening his suitcase to find his test answers gone, he calls for Jazz to talk with him after school, where he reveals to her that Danny has the answers and must have stolen them. Jazz tries to defend Danny, stating that Lancer has no proof, so Lancer gives Danny until the day of the test to return the answers.

Back in the Fenton household, Tucker tries to figure out the time medallion's functions, but gets no results. Danny is about to look at the test answers (much to his friends' disapproval) when he meets another ghost from the future: Skulktech 9.9, a ghost made from the combined forces of Skulker and Technus. A long battle between them ensues, which ends when Tucker hacks into Skulktech's system. As Skulktech falls, their time medallion slips off, and they, Danny, Sam, and Tucker are transported to Clockwork's lair.

Inside, the trio looks through a portal to the future, witnessing the destruction Danny's future self is causing. Tucker then finds a few time medallions and puts one on in a failed attempt to go back to the present. Clockwork then appears, seemingly wanting to kill Danny to prevent his dark future. Danny tries fighting Clockwork, but it's a one-sided battle, as Clockwork has the power of time control. Clockwork freezes Danny in place and lunges at Danny with his scythe, to try to prevent his evil future from happening once and for all.

Unaffected by the time-out, Tucker figures out that the time medallion protects the wearer from all time-based alterations, and gives one to Sam and Danny, freeing Danny. Clockwork decides that they have seen too much and summons ghost soldiers from different eras to prevent them from altering the timeline. With nowhere else to go, the trio escapes through the portal to the future.

Future Valerie.

The future already proves grim for the three and even more so when future Valerie catches young Danny, ready to exterminate him, but she is shocked that Sam and Tucker are alive. Dark Danny then appears and sends Valerie away. Danny rescues her and she then passes out. In the meantime, Sam and Tucker run away, only for Dark Danny to drop the rubble of the Fenton house on them with his Ghostly Wail. Before they are hit, Sam takes off their time medallions, safely returning them to their own time period.

Sam and Tucker end up in an alley near the Nasty Burger where Jazz confronts them, having discovered Danny indeed had the test answers. She warns them, saying that she'll talk to Mr. Lancer if Danny doesn't confess. Afterwards, Sam theorizes that Danny cheating is what will lead him to become evil.

Back in the future, Danny finds out his family, friends, and Mr. Lancer were all killed when the Nasty Burger boiler exploded with them inside. Dark Danny comes to him, telling his past self that he plans to ensure his future still exists. To bind young Danny to this time, he places his past self's time medallion inside of him, unreachable by either ghosts or humans, and throws him into the Ghost Zone to keep him from causing any further distraction.

Then, Dark Danny disguises himself as his 14-year-old human self and uses one of Tucker's time medallions to travel back to the present. The disguised Dark Danny reunites with his former friends in the present, telling them he has beaten his evil future self and that the Nasty Burger boiler is also taken care of (while in reality, it's still ready to blow).

In the future Ghost Zone, Danny finds the future versions of all his Ghost Zone enemies, all the worse after having encountered Dark Danny. Johnny 13 is in a wheelchair and pushed around by Shadow, Ember is overweight and has severely damaged vocal chords, and even the Box Ghost has become stronger and is wearing an eye patch and a hook hand from being used as Dark Danny's punching bag. As an act of revenge, they gang up on him.

Back in the present, Dark Danny returns to his former room in the Fenton house, where Jazz is waiting to confront him on his cheating.

Dan POV

"My old room." [Looking in the mirror, touching his face] "And my old face."

Behind him, the door opens. It's Jazz, looking peeved.

"Danny? We need to talk."

"And my old sister, Jazz. What do you want, Jazz? I'm busy."

Jazz approaches, holding his backpack. We see that the Booo-merang is on the floor between them.

"Yeah, busy cheating!"[She pulls the C.A.T. answer packet out of the bag.' ] "Lancer was right, you did steal the answers! Don't you understand?"

"That I'll be destroying my future? Ha-ha. You don't know the half of it." [he takes the packet and bookbag from her.]

"Danny, I know all of it."[ Disguise Dan shoves the packet in his bag] "About everything. That you're part ghost." [she picks up the Booo-merang] "That you're always doing the right thing with your powers. Until now."

[surprised] "You knew?"

"I know. And I've been covering for you with Mom and Dad because I'm proud of you, and the good that you do. But not anymore."

"You always were smarter than I gave you credit for." [he abandons his disguise, changing to his adult ghost form]

"You're- you're not Danny!" [backing up and dropping the boomerang] "That's why the Boomerang wasn't homing in on your ectosignature! You're not Danny!"

"I was. But I grew out of it. The Danny you know is floating helplessly in the Ghost Zone ten years in the future."

"He'll escape. He'll beat you!"

"How? Is the answer A, the Fenton Portal? Destroyed it. B, the only remaining portal? The one my idiot cheese head archenemy has? As soon as I find it, that's going too."

"Cheesehead? Vlad Masters?! He's your archenemy?"

"Is it C, you? No. You can't stop me from cheating on the C.A.T. and solidifying my future, so it must be D—" [He throws an ectoblast at her, freezing her with green light] "None of the above!"

He releases her and she falls to the ground unconscious. He returns to his human disguise and pulls the answer packet out of his bag, looking at it.

"Well, what do you know! The answer to the first question "is" D." [evil laugh]

only to have a lonely look as he sees her asleep.

Jazz POV

Jazz is lying in her bed, thrashing in her sleep.

"Danny!" [sits up as she wakes up screaming] "Nooo! Huh?" [looks around] "What?"

Jack kicks the door open with a crash, boomerang in hand.

"What's up, princess? Are you ok?"

"I'm in my bed? I'm alive?"

[Maddie walk's in laughing and kicking Jack out of the way] "Well of course you're in your bed and you're alive, sweetie! Danny said you fell asleep helping him study and we tucked you in."

"He even woke up bright and early to make sure nothing happened to make him late for the big test!" Jack bellows.

"Oh no! The test!"

Jazz leaps out of bed and runs out the door, snatching the boomerang from Jack's hand as she goes, her parents looking on in confusion. Down in the lab, she runs up to the open Fenton Portal. Holding up a folded piece of paper, she speaks to the Booo-merang.

"I need you to find Danny." [she rips off her headband and uses it to fix the note to the boomerang] "Fourteen-year-old Danny, ten years from now." [she hauls back and throws the Booo-merang into the Portal.]

3rd POV

We see it fly around in the Ghost Zone, the red homing beacon on it beeping. A clock and then a page calendar show in the background, flipping through the month pages to mark the passage of time, and a red eye blinks. GHOST ZONE: 10 YEARS LATER. The boomerang, scorched but still beeping sluggishly, floats past a giant crab/warthog monster. The beacon goes green and it nearly gets chomped by the monster, but it quickly switches directions.

We then see Danny, still bound, getting bounced around by cranky ghosts. Ember lands a chord, then Box Ghost beans him with some energy boxes, Johnny's shadow sends him spinning, Skulktech threatens him with lightning, Kitty socks him with her purse and knocks him into Ember again. She seizes him and slams him into a wall. Danny is helpless against the ghosts attacking him and tells them he wasn't responsible for their fate but they ignore him and call him a menace for the pain he causes. They all gang up and prepare to finish him. In his frustration, Danny shouts at them to get away from him before he suddenly gains the ability to use the Ghostly Wail, blowing away and knocking out all of his scared and surprised enemies...and defeats the ghosts.

Danny now freed of his binds, partially changes back and sees his actions as he worries what this development means. Soon after, the Booo-merang finds him by hitting him in the back of the head. Danny reads the note, realizing that Vlad is involved, and goes to track him down.

Meanwhile, Dan starts to cheat on the test, something his friends are still livid over. Jazz watches from afar, ready to destroy him with the Fenton Ghost Peeler. Dark Danny notices and sends an invisible duplicate of himself to knock her unconscious and drag her away.

Danny manages to find the portal to Vlad's manor (hidden behind a giant football), but upon entering, he notices that the manor is long gone and the once proud billionaire is now a depressed old hermit. Seeing Danny and guessing that he's from the past, he tells the story of how Dark Danny came to be: after the death of his loved ones, Danny moved in with Vlad, as he was the only one who could possibly understand his pain.

Wanting to make the hurt go away, he requested Vlad to remove his ghost half, something Vlad honored, pulling it out with the Ghost Gauntlets. However, once Danny's ghost half was removed, it went berserk, took the gloves, and ripped Vlad's ghost half out of him.

Danny's ghost half then attempted to overshadow Vlad's ghost half, only for the two ghosts to fuse and Vlad's evil nature overwhelming Danny, becoming the evil incarnation he is now. Danny asked what became of his human side as Vlad sadly states some things are best left unsaid, implying Dan killed his human half.

Dan then blew up Vlad's manor and left to begin his ten-year rampage of world destruction. Vlad laments that the only good that came out of the whole disaster was that ten years without ghost powers gave him the chance to see what a fool he had been.

Danny, in a rare moment, forgives him, then asks for his help to take out the medallion inside of him using the Ghost Gauntlets. Readying his gadgets, Vlad remarks on Danny's explanation of being rooted to the future as Danny states if he separates him it'll get the medallion and he'll return to the past. Vlad comments that he could instead eliminate Danny before he becomes evil, and strikes as Danny screams in pain.

In the present, Dan finishes the test and walks off, prompting Lancer to call his parents and arrange a meeting at the Nasty Burger.

Back at the wreck of the Nasty Burger, we see Mr. Lancer standing at the door. An engine revs and headlights shine on him. The Fenton RV parks in front of the Nasty Burger, Jack and Maddie up front and Disguised Dan smirking in the back seat.

Dan POV

Maddie ask Disguised Dan. "Mr. Lancer sounded urgent on the phone. Danny, is something wrong?"

"Not yet."

In the wreck of the Nasty Burger, we see the tanks and the heating element again, and the indicator needle shuddering higher.

"Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, Daniel, this s the Nasty Burger. When people fail, this is where they end up-- whether they fail because they don't study, or because they cheat." [holds up Danny's test]

Jack and Maddie gasp.

Jack ask; "Danny! Is this true?"

Maddie questions; "Did you cheat?"

Sam screams You have to get out of here!

They turn to see Tucker and Sam running to them.

Tucker explains that the Nasty Burger's gonna blow, and we're three feet from it!

Lancer courses using book titles. "South Beach Diet, people, what's going on here!"

Jazz's foot slams down, encased in the Fenton Peeler.

"I'll tell you what's going on." [Everyone looks over, surprised, and in Disguised Dan's case, angry] "Or better yet, I'll show you." [she fires the Peeler at Dan, peeling away his disguise and revealing his true form. Everyone looks on in shock.] "That's not Danny!"

Jack and Maddie go from stunned to angry, and immediately train weapons on the fallen Dark Danny.

Jack ask in fury; "Where is he? Where's our son?"

Maddie ask in a panic; "What have you done to our boy?"

Both parents bring out weapons.

[laughs and looks up at her] "I am your boy!"

"What?!" The Fenton's ask in surprise.

Lancer, Sam and Tucker look on, shocked. Dan springs into the air, where the clouds are starting to swirl green.

"What kind of parents are you anyway? The world's leading ghost experts, and you couldn't figure out your own son was half ghost!"

Weapons still trained on him, Jack and Maddie stare up at Dark Danny, stunned'

[Jack looking at Maddie] "For the record, I blame you."

"Hello? Danny Fenton? Danny Phantom? Ever notice the similarity?" [looking sidelong at Jazz] "Jazz did."

Sam and Tucker "She did??" Exclaimed at the same time.

Jack shouts; "Liar! Don't move!"

"Actually, nobody's going anywhere. Not until it's time for you to be blown everywhere."

He flings out a strand of ectoplasm, binding Jack, Maddie, Lancer, Sam, and Tucker to a tank, then releases five more blobs of it from his fingertips, gagging them. Jazz attempts to punch him from behind, but his flesh moves around her fist, leaving a hole in his chest. She gasps and pulls back her arm.

"Nice try, Jazz." [his chest springs back to normal] "But me,"['turns his neck 180 degrees to look at her] "my future" [he turns the rest of his body around], "I'm inevitable."

Two copies manifest, surrounding her. One seizes her helmet and yanks it off looks at her eyes. She screams and another copy covers her mouth with an ectoplasm gag. The three copies reunite and he lassos her with an ectoplasm rope, swinging her suit and all to join the others. He laughs evilly.

"Hey, old man!" [Dan stops laughing and turns. Danny Phantom zips out of the swirling sky wearing a backpack and some kind of rocket belt.] "Ready for a blast from your past?"

Danny collides with Dan, knocking him a couple blocks away.

Danny fly's close to his family and friends.

"Don't worry. I won't turn into that. Ever. I promise."[He looks over at Lancer, who is staring back at him.] "I guess this sort of explains my periodic absences, huh?"

A rope of ectoenergy suddenly catches him around the waist. I reels him in to seize him by the collar.

Danny ask; "What are you gonna do? Waste me? What happens to you then?"

"You don't get it, do you? "I'm still here." I still exist. That means "you" still turn into "me.""

I punch my younger self into a light post. The backpack falls off and tips over, revealing the Ghost Gauntlets.

"I don't have to waste you."

We see the Nasty Sauce indicator needle go into the red, then the Fenton's, Lancer, and Danny's friends bound to the tank, which is beginning to crack and shudder.

"I just have to run out the clock until your entire life falls apart."

I dive at Danny, who grabs the backpack and sinks into the ground. Knocking over the light post and spin around, looking for him. Behind me, Danny rises out of the street, wearing the Ghost Gauntlets.

"Maybe if you'd remembered more about your family, you'd have remembered the Specter Deflector!"

He pulls it out, fly towards me snapping the belt around my waist. Immediately I scream as I'm electrocuted by the anti-ghost device.

"Or the Ghost Gauntlets!"

He hauls back and sends me crashing through an oil truck with a punch. I looks around for a second nervously and then the whole thing goes up in a blue blast. In the air, Danny shields his face. As the explosion subsides to blue flame, he lands and begins to walk away. Behind him, furious I emerge from the flame. Ripping off the Specter Deflector, grabbing Danny by the arm with a still-burning hand, and throws him to the ground.

"Your time is up, Danny."[copying himself into four, the copies speaking together] "It's been up for 10 years."

They all punch him at once, and we get a quick beat-him-up montage. Danny falls smoking to the ground and I reunite with my copies.

"What makes you think you can change my past?"

[Danny getting to all fours and glaring up] "Because I promised my family!"

[laughing] "Oh, you are such a child! You promised?"

"Yes! I PROMISED!"

He stands and the word turns to a Ghostly Wail, sending me flying and digging up a divot in the street.

"That power, ugh, it's not possible! I don't get that power until ten years from now!"

[Danny landing near me] "I guess the future isn't as set in stone as you think it is."

I realized that my younger self is right, the future has already change. I looked at Jazz one last time and gave her a smile. And released the ectoplasm rope from them. I saw them rushing toward me and my younger self except lancer he just run away.

I grab my younger self by the throat before he fires another ghostly wail. And did the unexpected.

JAZZ POV

As I saw my little brother fighting against himself literally. Danny was putting up a good fight bringing out Fenton gadgets to give him self an edge but it was for naught. His older self, manage to get the upper hand. I thought it was over for us, but Danny scream so loud that the sound waves he created destroyed windows crack the walls and floor and injured his future self.

Danny floated down close to Dan as he was talking to him. Then Dan gave me a smile not one of malice but one that contained such sorrow and he released us. As soon my feet touch ground I sprinted towards them so was mom, dad, Sam and Tucker. As we were half way their the tank exploded.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

My head was ringing from the laud noise. I felt something heavy on me. My vision was fuzzy as I look to my right I saw dad over us protecting us. Tuckers was protecting Sam, mom was protecting me and dad with his big body was shielding us all. Dad was heavily injured, he lost a leg and bleeding from his back and lots of burns. The rest of us have minor injuries and burns. But when I look towards Danny my heart sank. I saw Dan hand was through Danny's chest.

DANNY POV

"What makes you think you can change my past?"

[getting to all fours and glaring up] "Because I promised my family!"

[laughing] "Oh, you are such a child! You promised?"

"Yes! I PROMISED!"

He stands and the word turns to a Ghostly Wail, sending Dan flying and digging up a divot in the street.

"That power, ugh, it's not possible! I don't get that power until ten years from now!"

[landing near him] "I guess the future isn't as set in stone as you think it is."

After I said that to him, Dan looks like he had an epiphany he smiles towards Jazz and releases them I got stun for a moment their for what he did. My family and friends run towards us. As soon I regain my composure and was going to fire another ghostly wail he grabs me by the neck preventing me to fire another wail. I heard my family and friends getting closer then it happen the explosion.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

I saw Mr. Lancer blown away in a ball of fire. I could not turn to see if my family and friends were okay. But then Dan did the unexpected he ripped his own core from his chest and merged it to my core.

"I'm Inevitable"

Was the last thing he said to me as he faded into nothingness.

Then everything freezes. A clock hand traces out a blue white circle, which resolves into an old Clockwork. the ghost flies up to Danny and drops a first aid kit Danny notices Clockwork and he was not affected by the time stop.

"Clockwork?"

Clockwork points past Danny, and he looks, then gasps he quickly grabs the first aid kit and patches his dad first so he won't die of blood lost. All of his loved ones are floating, asleep or unconscious, in a nimbus of green light. Then teleports them near a hospital so they can get treated. Several hours later Clockworks reapers by stopping time.

"You saved them? I-I don't understand!"

[Clockwork switching to adult form] "The Observants look at time like they're watching a parade, one thing after another passing by sequence right in front of them. I see the parade from above, all the twists and turns it might [switches to elderly form] or might not take. "

"You knew all this was going to happen. All of it! Even this part. Pointing at his heart or more precisely his core."

"Everything's the way it's supposed to be. And here we are with you, a fourteen-year-old child, risking everything to save the people you care about." Danny smiles at him ask what going to happen to him. Clockwork tells him that Dan gave him everything he was, his knowledge his experience his power.

"Come to me later so we can discuss this in more dep't for now you are going to have some of his memories coming to you in your dreams."

[pressing the button on his Time Staff] "Time in!"

"Don't you mean nightmares," talking to myself fretting over how I'm going to explain my self to mom and dad. Jazz walks up to him.

"So, [looking up at her] how long have you known? Your headband, your note, [he pulls the note and headband out of his pocket and holds it out to her] your handwriting..."

"What? [pointing] That? [blushing and shrugging] Oh, I didn't write that. And there must be dozens of headbands."

[raising an eyebrow] "Jazz."

[sitting next to him and taking the note and headband] "Since the Spectra thing. I didn't want to tell you until you wanted to tell me. It's your secret."

"Well, it's our secret now." They hug.[briefly the eyes glows red]

"Don't think this means I'll stop being meddling and overprotective." [Touching his chest making sure what she saw back their was only a delusion from the explosion]

[chuckling] "Wouldn't have it any other way."

3rd POV

Observant 1

"You manipulated him! You influenced his choice!"

Observant 2

"That's a direct violation of the Protocol of Temporal Displacement! In other words,"

Both Observants

"You cheated!"

Clockwork

"True, I cheated." [switching to adult form] "But I assure you his choice was his own."

Observant 1

"You realize the boy is your responsibility now."

Observant 2

"Now that he exists outside of time. since his future and present self merge."

Clockwork

"I know. But then, I know everything." [looking in his time mirror looking at a king]
