Danmachi: The Great Unique Sorcerer

The great goddess and titan, Hecate, remained hidden for the vast majority of the time she spent on the mortal world, her curiosity for the humans never failing to amuse her even though hundreds of years have passed since she first descended. Attracted by the stories of the adventurers of Orario, she now wishes to create her own Familia, unknow to others that her Arcanun powers aren't as limited as that of the other gods, she uses her witchcraft to summon the soul of a boy from the distant realm of Earth. -- OBS: The protagonist is the one summoned, Hecate is one of the main characters. DISCLAIMER: A/N: The cover and Damnachi don't belong to me, but the girl in it represents pretty well Hecate's appearance in my vision, just that her eyes are of a different color.

An irate lashing

In an endless void, the universe was divided into three visible universes, the first was composed of ashes, the second of fire, and the third of darkness.

He stood motionless, floating amidst the darkness, and his eyes could barely see the other realms, but they were definitely there.

Even so, his eyes actually focused on something else, something that was looking at him from the infinite darkness surrounding him.

That pair of white emotionless eyes with their piercing gaze, it felt like they would kill him if he stared at them for a second more, but after minutes, hours, days... nothing changed, the darkness remained as it was, and so did the burning realm and the ashen one.

Eventually, he felt weak, tired, and when he closed his eyes, he saw the familiar ceiling.

"What... where am I?" Sitting on the bed, Leofric blinked his eyes and looked down. He was covered in straps from head to toe.

Trying to touch his arm he stopped and winced as a painful headache assaulted his senses, his vision became blurry for a moment and he felt like the world was split apart.

The colors seemingly disappeared and the shadows gained life, they moved like snakes, leaving the places where they were supposed to be and crawled towards him.

In his ears, incomprehensible whispers came and went like the wind and without notice.

"Aghh!" His heart started beating faster, a shadow reached him, its touch was cold and painful, like it had the ability to completely steal away the heat of his body in mere instants.

The painful sensation continued, more and more shadows crawled his body, he fell on his back, shuddering from the coldness, eventually the darkness enveloped him and... nothing.

"Ahhhh!" He sucked a mouthful of air and with a gulp, he looked around in hopes of finding any clues, but alas, just like it started from nowhere, there was nothing left that could explain that situation.

"T-this..." He stood up, although with some difficulty, and despite looking around the room, there really was nothing there. "Was I hallucinating?"

The possibility felt too alien for him, too unlikely, but without choice, he could only forget it.

Looking through the window, he noticed the orange sky, but it wasn't that of the night, it was the one from the morning, the sunrise.

Opening the window he sucked a mouthful of air and sighed in relief. Somehow he made it in one piece... The memories weren't there a moment ago, but now his mind was flooded with the scenes of countless creatures crawling towards him.

It was a miracle, no doubts, to break through that wall he used every bit of luck he stored in his previous life.

He couldn't help but shake and clutch his heart beating crazily fast. He was starting to have weird feelings about the dungeon, this time he was careless, had he asked others on the way regards the situation on the floor instead of heading down straight without minding for anything else, maybe things would have been different.

Leofric, you're so fucking stupid, have more care for your life you damn dumbhead!

No, forget it! I don't want to think about this anymore!

Shaking his head, he turned around and entered the bathroom, looking at the mirror he sighed. It grew slightly, the stubble that had once occupied some areas around his mouth and jawlines was pretty much a level 1 beard, it was so small that others would laugh at you.

At least, he wasn't that bad overall, or so he liked to think so. Hecate must have cut his hair as it was much shorter compared to the day he went dungeon diving, but nothing changed overall, he still had hair black like charcoal, and his eyes were still the same light orange.

On the surface, everything seemed normal.

Not wasting another minute he started taking a quick bath after cleaning his teeth and it didn't take long for him to be back wearing a casual set of white shirts and bluish-grey pants.

When he came back to the room, he finally noticed a sheet of paper, the same kind his goddess used to write down his status. Maybe she updated him while he was asleep, thinking this he grabbed it, and a few seconds later, it fell from his hands.

"W-what..."

No, no, it couldn't be.

Maybe he was dreaming.

Bitting his lips he grabbed the skin of his arm and with a twist that made tears came out of his eyes, he finally came to his senses.

How did this happen? He couldn't believe it even if he knew he wasn't dreaming, those statuses were too overbearing! If they continued like that, wouldn't he reach level two in just a few months!? Heck, he might be able to surpass the <Kenki> Halrod had told him about!

No, no! Don't be stupid! You might be even faster than that, mwahaha! Sorcerer's Origin huh!? But... what the heck does that mean? How exactly am I supposed to do that? Or does it mean that only I can use those three new spells I got out of nowhere?

Ahh! How difficult! Those words are too subjective! Where is the tutorial when you need one?!

He got frustrated, but unfortunately, it didn't help him cast any spell, the ones he first acquired should be easy to use so long as he was inside the dungeon, but he simply didn't know any other spells to try casting and see how this sorcery thing works.

Eventually, he accepted the fact and just shook his head. Knowing he was fully healed, he took out the straps and put on his armor, taking the sword and shield, he left a note for his goddess in case she came back earlier for some reason and he wasn't there.

He was too excited to let this opportunity pass, it was time to try out his new toys.

Arriving at the dungeon he went directly to the first floor and started running around in search of enemies. Not too long after he was face to face with 3 goblins.

"Ahhh, so lucky!"

The goblins couldn't comprehend the smile on Leofric's face, nonetheless, he completely ignored that and pointed his hand towards the nearest goblin. In his mind, he shouted <Source Arrow>. Suddenly he felt like something had been taken away from him, his body got slightly colder and a white mass of energy surrounded by a black outer layer took shape in front of him for a second before shooting forward like an actual arrow.

The projectile pierced through the Goblin's head like it was made of butter, his body even exploded in a cloud of ashes and left behind a few shards of magic stones.

"Guaaaagh!?" The goblins were stunned, what did just happen!?

Before they could think though, Leofric tried his other spell, <Source Weapon>, upon shouting it on his mind, he once again felt like something had been taking away from him, making him feel like a breeze of winter had just swept him, following that, a layer of invisible energy covered his hands but nothing else.

Frowning without understanding the meaning of what was happening, he got distracted and barely had time to react when the goblin tried to bump into him using the horns on its head.

"You little bastard, die for me!" Angered, he lost patience and unsheathed his sword. With a wave, he slashed it at the goblin, the beautiful arc of the sword had been normal for half of the path, but just a few moments before it reached the goblin, the entire weapon started to glow in a similar fashion to that of the Source Arrow, when the sword finally hit its target, it met no resistance and chopped the monster in two halves, which unfortunately destroyed its magic stone.
