9 Chapter Eight

"So..."

Luke started, sitting on a collapsed wall, looking at Alfia with interest. The said girl was looking away with a mildly guilty look, but she did not really seem apologetic.

"You have been gone for a month."

She flinched, which he noticed and Luke wanted to sigh, he really did. He wasn't mad, he knew why she was busy. Her sister was trying to get up from the bed, and she had to remain by her side, just in case.

The food she had been eating and the healing he provided proved to be just enough to get her out of bed.

Luke reached out and patted her head, which only rewarded him with a glare.

"It's alright, I was busy too, so you probably couldn't find me, glad you're okay though."

She huffed and crossed her arms, not saying anything. Luke could only chuckle, amused by her reactions. And the best part of it all, he wasn't even lying, he was busy.

Preparing a house was hard work, that nobody really appreciated until they had to do that shit alone.

Now, he would need to gently guide her to "Find" that house on her own, and his master plan was complete.

___

"You know..."

Luke muttered, sidestepping a charge from a two-meter-tall rhino monster in the dungeon.

"This is... Really disappointing..."

The boy could only sigh as He turned and kicked the horn, breaking it off. With a sigh, he extended a hand, Gae Bolg materializing in his palm and thrusting it into the Monster's side, skewering it through the heart.

The monster turned to dust, leaving behind a purple stone that was a magic stone, and oddly enough, the horn...

Luke hummed, stepping and crushing the magic stone to dust as he walked over to the Horn with interest.

Picking it up, The blue-haired boy inspected it with interest... Nice, very nice...

Could be used for something useful, no doubt. However, he had other plans for this one...

Without another thought, Luke materialized his body, Gae Bolg disappearing as he went back to the surface from the floor Fifty-one.

The dungeon was a no-go...

After returning to the surface, Luke returned to the small place he called home and sat down on the floor, holding the horn in hand, without another word, Luke materialized Gae Bolg again and began carving.

He was sure that Satanta would have an aneurysm if he ever saw his prised spear being used as a carving tool, but he wasn't here, Luke was, and Gae Bolg was his to use as he seemed fit.

He had to be careful, too, a single cut from this bad boy and he could say goodbye to healing that cut and some of his stamina, too.

The night went on as he carved awkwardly with a spear until he had what he wanted.

Soon enough, he had it, parts of the horn lay on the ground, and a pure white half-moon was on his palm.

He hummed, reaching into his shirt and taking out a similar shape, only this one with a wolf's head, clasping the moon and comparing them.

Good, the shape was similar, at least.

The necklace dropped to his chest, and his finger glowed as he started carving runes into the moon shape. The minutes went on as Luke concentrated.

Soon enough, Invisible runes covered the would-be accessory and he inspected it. Twelve runes, he has never used so many at the same time, but there was no flaw in the product. The very knowledge was engraved into his memory.

He still did not know what the illness was, unfortunately.

Their bodies were degenerating, thankfully, at a lower pace than I healed them, which was why the two were getting better.
