2 Chapter Two

"This is kind of disappointing."

I muttered, kicking away a goblin with a mana-enhanced leg.

Goblins, goblins everywhere.

Taking a deep breath, I turned my head to see another goblin with a stone dagger in hand, turning my body, I faced him down like this was some epic battle.

Which it was not, as the little humanoid jumped at me, only for me to move to the side and for the little green monster to break its legs...

Taking in a deep breath, I watched the little thing try to crawl toward me. Tilting my head in curiosity, I rose an eyebrow as it shrieked.

My attention was brought to the walls that started crackling, and I witnessed the most unsettling birth ever. Four newly created goblins roared at me with all the ferocity of a kitten and charged.

Did... Did this little shit just summon comrades?

Well, this just got interesting.

Reaching in my quiver, I took out a single arrow and holding it in my hand, tip down.

Would these summon more? Or would they just try to kill me when they no longer functioned as intended?

Lifting my leg, I crushed the skull of the limping Goblin that broke its legs.

Narrowing my eyes, I waited in place. I needed a weapon, and two swords, and these things would not provide enough money to pay for two of them.

Alternatively, I could hunt for some game and sell the skin and meat separately, but that would take a while.

I needed to go to deeper levels.

Slamming the tip of the arrow into the eye of the goblin, I threw the thrashing body to his brother, managing to slam it into one of them.

Taking the bow off my back, I took out three arrows from my quiver and knocked them on the string, pulling back.

The wood bent under my strength and I had to make sure that it didn't snap. The hand I was holding the string with loosened and the delay sticks flew through the air, Piercing the two in the head and one soaring past them to finish off the two goblins that were still trying to get up.

I might have to get those things my old man told me about.

Huffing out an indignant breath, I continued my way down the endless maze that was the Dungeon.

__

"What did I tell you?"

I rose an eyebrow at the tone of the voice. Was that reprimand?

"Not to go down below the second floor?"

I asked more than stated, in all honesty, she did say that I couldn't, she just advised me not to, an advice that I promptly ignored.

In front of me stood an irritated woman with short brown hair, wearing a guild-issued uniform that consisted of plain black pants, a black waist suit, and a white button-up shirt beneath.

Her green eyes glared at me with all the rage of an angry parent.

"And what did you do?"

Taking in a deep breath, I resisted the urge to decapitate the woman in front of me and sighed out the answer which only served to irritate her further.

As the elf, Eina went on another tangent about how I could not go into deeper levels before I was ready.

She was mistaken, this dungeon could not throw anything at me that I couldn't handle.

Somehow, in the middle of it all, when I blinked, she managed to grab a book and shove it in my hands.

I looked down at it with confusion before looking back at her.

"I want you to memorize the first thirty pages and I will ask you questions about its contents tomorrow. No excuses!"

What are you? My mother?

Nodding, instead of letting my inner thoughts slip, I turned around and walked off. I didn't have the time for this, I had to go to Babel, find a good smith that could forge me some armor and my weapons.

I had no time for a quiz, I wasn't in school anymore.

Turning toward the dungeon again, I walked toward it. The Babel tower that was built above it contained the smiths from the Hephaistous familia.

Most of the best weapons cost millions, but there were more. Less experienced smiths that sold their products at a lower price, so that is where I will go.

A drop of water landed on my nose, and I stopped, looking up at the sky. The could's were dark, covering up the sun. Drops of clear liquid were falling down to the ground, soon covering me fully.

It was raining... Great, I just went into a deep explanation of how it rained, I need some entertainment.

Sighing, I upped my pace, shortening the six-minute walk to four, and entered Babel. Running a hand through my hair to get rid of the excess liquid, I went to the... Oh my lord was that an elevator?!

Walking closer, I look inside the small room that was four walls with enough space for four people to uncomfortably stand. Taking a step inside and spotting the buttons, I almost squealed In excitement.

Finally! Tecnology!

Pressing one of the upper floors, I watched as the doors closed and felt the elevator move up.

The excitement quickly drained from me, however, and my critical, annoying, side took over, this was just an elevator, not even running on electricity, stop the income of magic crystals and the whole civilization will be sent back to the stone age.

Sighing at my own thoughts I wait to arrive at my destination, which was the middle floors of the Babel Tower.

Exiting the elevator, I looked around at the countless shops that were present and blanched inwardly at the thought of having to go through most of them to get a satisfactory peace of armor.

This is why the team had a personal blacksmith, none of this nonsense.

With an annoyed grunt, I went to the first shop.
