Danmachi: The Black Hole

Life was weird. And turns out, it could get weirder. Now, all I have to do is survive, no matter what it takes. Because no matter the world, there will always be one standing on the top, and that would be me. I would make sure of it. _ I don't own anything of the story, I just own the OCs if there will be any. Will diverge from Cannon eventually but some events will still happen if a little different.

Chapter Twenty-Nine

I plunged the dagger out of the petals, glancing at the ruined blade that was in the process of melting, the other half was still inside the cacoon.

Scowling, I tossed the blade to the side, as the cacoon burst open, throwing me off.

Fire burst from my feet as I lanced in the middle of the Violas, burning the nearby area to clear away any unwanted distraction as I twirled the only remaining dagger Hestia got me in my hand.

I looked up, seeing the spirit in bad shape, unable to regenerate due to my flames.

"Pierce, spear of lightning. Your envoy beseeches you!-"

She started chanting again, many small magic circles forming around her and I scowled. At this point, it might get hard unless I took out her vocal cords.

Or overpowered her magic with my own.

"Bell! A little Help here!"

I glanced to the side, seeing Bete struggling with the Violas, the small traces of wind around his legs unable to pierce their skin. I nodded, sending him a trail of Blaze to use as he pleased, and tossed the dagger to my other hand, grabbing the Kusarigama as I entered the fray again.

"-Queen of lightning! Thunder Ray!"

Lightning exploded from the magic circles, heading in our directions and I huffed in irritation—bothersome little sparks.

Using élenchos, I created Runes on thin air, forming a magic circle in a fraction of a second. The runes of protection, life, healing, and abundance formed and spread out into a wall a split second before the lightning impacted against it.

I burst forward again my kusarigama surging forward as I clutched at the chain and tugged, the blade sinking into the abdomen of the giant monster and pulling me up.

I turned into the air, using the chain as leverage, and slammed my only remaining dagger into the abdomen of the spirit. Using it as ta hand hold, I hoisted myself up, burning away the vines that came my way in order to intercept me.

"Incoming!"

Finn's voice reached my ears and I jumped off the dagger into the air, grabbing the spear that was coming my way and thrusting it into the humanoid body's throat as electricity traveled across the tip, destroying her vocal cords.

Blaze surged through the spear, stopping its regeneration factor from healing the throat of the monster as I placed a leg on her torso and pushed myself off.

"Good job, Lad!"

Gareth shouted as he came down and I had to momentarily marvel at the flying Dwarf as he slammed his axe down on the monster, aiming for the head.

Unfortunately, the monsters head fell to the side from my spear strike, but the new axe did manage to cut through her shoulder bone down to her abdomen.

I grinned as élenchos returned my dagger to my hand and I landed on the ground, the Dwarf following behind, hoisting his axe over hos shoulder and swinging wide to kill any Violas around.

I looked up, seeing Ais, her magic charged to what I assumed to be the limit, heading for the Spirit, her rapier extended.

A slight glow came from the Rapier itself and the air swirling around it intensified, acting like a drill, shredding through the chest of the monster and coming out the other side.

As the large body of the spirit imitation turned to dust, I rested Finns spear on my shoulder, humming in appreciation.

That was a good workout.

"Good job, Bell."

Fin smiled as he walked up to me, grabbing the spear that I tossed at him mid-air.

I nodded, ignoring the older twin of the Amazon twins tackled and hugged him, which was weird since he was shorter than her, not budging an inch despite the height difference.

Sheathing my dagger, I shoved my hands inside my pockets, well, tried since this new armor did not have any room for pockets.

Humming thoughtfully, I looked back to the Violas that were surrounding the whole group, finding them dead at the hands of my shadows.

Yup, this was a good workout.

"So... You want me to make armor again... With the dragon scales..."

Welf deadpanned at me, his eyes looking dead as he looked at the dragon scales from my share of the drops.

"And... a new dagger from the dragon tooth... And the kusarigamas."

I pointed at the dragon's teeth and smiled at him, he only groaned.

"You like making my life hard, don't you?"

I nodded without hesitation. He groaned harder and I stood up, walking out of the tent and stretching my arms, breathing in the air on the 18th floor.

Walking over to where the others were gathered, I gained immediate attention of Riveria, who was holding a book in hand that I gave her, or, more like returned to her after she gave it to me as a blank one.

"Bell."

She called me over and I walked up next to her, raising an eyebrow. She tilted the book to me and I hummed, looking at the part she was pointing at.

"Yeah?"

She frowned, displeased at the fact that I had no idea what she wanted, even though I couldn't read minds... Well, I could, but not passively.

"How does this connect to the other ones?"

I hummed, crouching down and looking over the rune, tilting my head to the side in thought.

"Its the rune of Life, life means a lot of things, but if you cast a spell, it will keep the spell "alive" by supplying it mana without your conscious effort."

She nodded and went back to reading. I hummed and stood up again, looking over to everyone else.

Ais motioned me over, grabbing her sword, and I shrugged, sparring it is.
