3 Going shopping

After walking for some time they finally arrived at their destination.

It was a workshop. And on a sign was written 'Tsubaki's workshop'.

They went inside and Hermes was first to speak.

"Yo, Tsubaki you there?"

"Ohh, lord Hermes. Pleasure seeing you here. You too Falgar."

"Likewise." Falgar replied.

"So, what did you want to see me, bet it isn't for these pleasantries." Tsubaki asked.

"Well, you see. We got a new member and he needs a weapon. Maybe even an armor set."

"Hmm, and where is this new member of yours?"

"Tch, I don't need armor. Just two swords will do." Levi said, coming out of Hermes's shadow.

'Why are they all so tall.' He said while observing Tsubaki, while she was observing him in return.

She was standing at 170 cm, more or less. She had long black hair. Her left eye had an eyepatch over it and the other was red in colour. She had a tanned skin, probably from working at the forge.

'strong.' He thought

"Alright kid. Do you want a commissioned weapon or something here caught you fancy?" he asked.

Levi looked around for a bit. But then shook his head.

"Alright, commissioned it is. So what are your stats? You can just tell your letter."

" Agility, dexterity and strength are at H. And endurance and magic at I." Levi answered.

Hermes and Falger stood there, mouth wide open. they were shocked at how he just casually revealed his stats.

"hmm, alright." She pondered a little before asking.

"Why do you want to be an adventurer?"

Levi thought for a while before answering.

"To survive."

"Eh, nice goal." Then she put her palm in front of Levi.

"Hit me." She commanded

Levi looked confused but complied. And hit the palm.

"... You sure your stats are at H? Hermes he isn't lying right?" Tsubaki looked at Hermes. And he just shook his head.

"No his stats are indeed only at H." Hermes replied.

"Hmm okay. So what kind of sword would you like?" She asked Levi.

"hmm, I want two swords, single edge. Make sure they are made for slashing. I also want the swords to easily be switched to a reverse grip, even in a fight."

"Hmm, alright. Come back in 4 days. In the meantime use these. They should be of use for now." She said, and handed Levi a pair of straight swords.

"Fine." He said accepting the swords from Tsubaki.

"Alright, now Hermes. Let's discus the price."

"Ah, please Tsubaki-tan. Don't inflate the price too much. I'm broke at the moment." Hermes pleaded, but was ignored by Tsubaki and they discussed the price.

After the negotiation were over which consisted of a huge sum of valis, but got dropped by a large amount by Hermes. But in exchange of lowering the price, they needed to get her some alcohol and get a hug from Levi.

When Levi heard the condition he went pale. Just thinking about hugging someone straight up gave him shivers. But he still complied as the price was now dropped by an astronomical amount.

After finally escaping from the hug, Levi had a petrified expression.

'Never ever ever doing it again!!' He thought

"... you sell armor too right?" Levi asked.

"Yes I do. But I thought you didn't want armor?"

"No I don't, but I want a cloak." Levi responded

"Hmm, alright. But only for another hug." Levi went pale once again.

"No, what's the price." Levi said almost immediately.

"58.000 valis" She answered with a smirk.

"WHAT!! No way a cloak costs that much!!" Levi glared at her.

"What are you gonna do about it. My shop, my prices."

"I'll buy a cloak somewhere else then." Levi said, turning to walk away.

"You sure, but none of the third grade cloaks out there will best mine."

He stopped right in his track, while Tsubaki just smirked with a smile that could only be described as a devil's smile.

"Here, try it out." She said while tossing a gray cloak at Levi.

he caught it and was surprised by the quality of the cloak.

'So smooth, and just about the right size too...' He then looked at Tsubaki.

"It's made out of salamander wool, So it has an increased resistance against fire." She said

...

there was a moment of silence

'Maybe another hug wouldn't be that bad.' He thought

"Tch, fine"

"YAY!!" And Tsubaki went for a hug again.

"UGh"

after leaving the workshop they went the a clothing store. Wanting to buy new clothes for Levi as his clothes now were pretty dirty.

Inside the shop, the trio were welcomed by an employee.

"Welcome, do you need any assistance."

Then Levi stepped forward and said to the employee.

"Yes I need-" After listing everything he needs the employee went in the back for a few seconds before returning with a set of clothes.

Levi, taking the clothes went inside the changing booth.

Upon leaving the changing booth, there were some gasps from the crowd. Seeing Levi's appearance they couldn't help but stare.

He had a gray buttoned up shirt on, leaving the top one loose and rolling up his sleeves showing his forearms. And black pants. Black boots going up to his knees. He had a leather belt on with some straps around his torso and upper-legs. To finish his look, he put on his newly acquired cloak.

"The material is fairly easy so it won't cost much. Also if there ends up getting bloody in a fight and blood gets spilled on the clothes, it will be fairly easy to clean." The employee explained.

"You look stunning Levi!" Hermes exclaimed and everyone who was watching nodded their heads.

"So how much will it cost." He asked her

After a while of Hermes's haggling to drop the price, they finally went outside.

"Now last stop, The Pantheon." Hermes said

Then they walked off once again

Arriving at the guild called 'The Pantheon'. Levi observed the location.

There were a lot of adventurers coming in and out of the building, doing all sorts of business. But most of them were exchanging mana stones.

It was a large building with some banners hanging from the walls. And a sign that said 'The Pantheon'

Inside was a vast area with some counters. Behind the counters were the advisors and staff of the guild. He also saw some signs that said that there was a library here too.

Then Hermes went to a counter, followed by Falgar and Levi.

"Hey, Rose-tan. How you doing?" Hermes greeted an employee. Probably an advisor.

" Lord Hermes, what do you want." She asked.

"Oh, so cold. Anyway jokes aside now. I want to register someone who joined my familia." Hermes said.

"... Fine, fill in this form." Rose said after staring at Hermes for a moment.

After Hermes filled in the form, he returned it to Rose and then she began to read it.

"Hermes" She said in a chilling tone.

A shiver ran thru Hermes's spine.

"Are you serious, Hermes. An eight year old child. Becoming an adventurer." She said slowly.

"Are you out of your mind."

"Well, no. But he's strong. I promise you he won't die so easily." Hermes pleaded.

"... Let met see him." She ordered.

"Yes ma'm. Oi Levi, come." Hermes called out Levi.

When Levi came, he saw a scared Hermes and a red-haired woman. What stood out tho were her eyes, ears and tail. Resembling a wolf. She wore the usual guild outfit. Making her known as an employee.

"Hey kid, why are you an adventurer. You'll die." She said in an apathetic tone.

"It's better to go in a hellhole than live in one." Levi retorted.

"But you will die." She said once again.

"Then I die with no regrets." Levi stated

Then they stared at each other for a few moments.

"Fine, you win." She said before taking the form again.

"If you need help or information, come to me."

"Got it."

Then the advisor took her leave and the trio went outside.

When they looked at the sky to see what time it was they were surprised to see that it was already dusk.

"Well, let's go back to 'the traveller's inn'." Hermes proposed.

"Sure." Falgar said and Levi just nodded

When they arrived at their abode and entered. Everyone was surprised by the new look of Levi.

"Welcome back, Lord Hermes, Falgar and Levi." Asfi greeted them.

"Oh, Asfi. How's work." Hermes asked.

"Well, Hermes-" She said in a cold voice while grabbing hermes's shoulder.

"EEEK!" Hermes let out a little shriek of fear, but everyone ignored it after seeing the demon's face with aqua hair.

Then she dragged Hermes to the study.

"Hmm, well. Tomorrow we'll be going to the dungeon so be prepared." Falgar said to Levi.

"Alright." And then Levi went to his room.

So about the weapon: It will be a dual sword but I don't know if I should just use the swords of AOT or another pair. Let me know.

Then about romance and the FL: some of you asked for Ryuu, some for Rose and others for Asfi. I want to discard Ryuu cuz she is already the FL of my other novel and I want some variety, so hit me with new idea's.

I also chose for Rose as the advisor as if she ended up as the FL, then that would open up some routes.
