Chapter 88: Ardi The Wingwoman

Feeling movement atop my body I slowly opened my eyes.

As I did so I saw nothing but red.

Moving a bit I managed to clear my vision, and found Rose curled up atop me. The two of us in her bedroom, lying in her bed.

After our fun downstairs the previous night we moved the party up here. Stopping only a few hours ago.

Carefully but gently I placed her on the free side of the bed.

I then stood up and went into the bathroom to handle morning business as well as take a shower.

When I was done I quickly went to find my clothes and dressed myself before heading downstairs.

Once I did I took the food I didn't eat last night and went to re-heat it in the kitchen.

Since although microwaves are not a thing in this world, stoves are. However they don't run on gas or electricity but inferno stones.

Well as long as it works I really don't care how. Like with showers and other amenities from the modern world that are in this one.

The moment my food was nice and hot again I went to sit down at the table and enjoy it. Then once my belly was full I started to clean up.

Since Rose and I went a bit too wild last night.

Picking up any furniture we knocked over I put her place back together.

Then as soon as I was done I spotted her coming down the stairs, a golden robe around her body.

"Morning." I said.

"Same to you." Rose said.

She then came over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me into a good morning kiss.

As our kiss intensified I noticed Rose loosening her robe.

Breaking our kiss I gave her a smile.

"Really, you still have this much energy even after all we did last night?" I asked her.

"Fufu, of course. And don't pretend you don't like it." She retorted.

She's not wrong.

Picking Rose up in my arms I carried up back up to the bedroom.

Since I didn't want to have to clean up again if things got out of hand like the night before.

Which they probably would.

----------------------------

Closing the door to Roses' house I started making my way home.

A smile on my face.

Since I thoroughly satisfied my red-headed werewolf. While she did the same for me.

But we didn't just have crazy sex, we also spent some real quality time together.

Doing so is how you get a relationship to truly work and last.

Making my way onto one of the main streets of Orario I felt my stomach grumbling a bit.

Realizing it was lunch time I stopped my one of the various food stands and picked up some meat skewers before continuing on my way.

As I ate my meat sticks I suddenly stopped in my tracks when I saw several people running in my direction.

Two of them being Ardi and Shakti.

The former of which just reached level four.

"Stop thieves!" Ardi shouted at the people running in front of her.

But they ignored her and instead kept running.

Seeing the situation I decided to help them out.

Taking the sticks of the meat skewers I had already finished eating I threw them in the direction of the escaping thieves, hitting them all and opening small wounds on their bodies.

"Fuck!" One of them yelled, tripping and falling onto the others.

The three of them then all fell on the ground, landing right at my feet.

Just as the did so the Varma sister's arrived, along with their fellow Ganesha familia members who were assisting them on capturing the criminals.

"Oh Morax, thanks for the help." Ardi spoke.

"Any time." I said.

"Yes, thank you." Shakti mused.

"If you really want to thank me how about a kiss, or you let me take you out on a date." I spoke.

But Shakti simply ignored my comment and instructed her people to secure the criminals.

"Ah Shakti, why are you always so cruel to me?" I said in a dramatic fashion.

Getting a laugh from Ardi and her fellow familia members.

"Once again, thank you for your assistance Morax. Also like always, the answer is no." Shakti spoke. "Now then, good day." She said.

"Bye Morax, see you later." Ardi said.

"Same." I said.

I then split ways with their group and continued my way home.

Trying to think of new ways to get Shakti to go on a date with me.

Since although she keeps saying no she hasn't outright rejected me and told me there is no chance with her at all.

That's why so long as a chance remains I won't give up.

Since that's just the kind of guy I am.

--------------------------------

(3rd Person: POV)

A smile on her face Ardi entered the Ganesha familia home along with her sister and fellow familia members.

Once they did so they handled the processing of the criminals they just caught and then all went their separate ways.

The Varma sisters heading to Shakti's personal office.

Since she is the captain of the Ganesha familia after all.

It would be strange for her not to have one.

Entering the office Shakti closed the door and went to sit behind her desk. Meanwhile Ardi took a seat on one of the two couches in the room.

She then decided to ask her sister a question.

"Hey sis, why don't you give Morax a chance?"

Stumbling at Ardi's question Shakti was glad she was not eating our drinking something at that moment. Since if she was she surely would've spit it out all over the place.

"What? Ardi, where is this coming from?" Shakti asked her sister.

"I mean I've been thinking about it for a while now." Ardi explained. "Morax is nice, and kind. So why won't you agree to a date with him? He's not a bad guy."

"I know that very well." Shakti retorted.

"So then why?" Ardi asked.

"Did Morax put you up to this?" Shakti asked.

Ardi shook her head. "Nope. I'm just really curious as to why you won't give him at least one date. Not like you have anybody else lined up."

Upon saying this Ardi received a hard glare from her sister.

Since she had just touched upon a delicate subject.

The fact Shakti is still single.

Well it's not like men, and even some women, don't find Shakti attractive. It's just her usually strict and cold personality makes her hard to approach. Not to mention the fact she is a level five adventurer and the captain of the largest and one of the strongest familia in Orario.

A lot of people get easily intimidated by her.

This is a fact Shakti knows perfectly well.

And she herself isn't really looking for a romantic partner so its fine.

But that's not to say she doesn't want one.

Releasing a sigh Shakti stopped glaring at Ardi and decided to answer her question. Since she knew her sister wouldn't stop asking until she got a proper answer.

They shared that trait of willful stubbornness.

"Ok, here it is Ardi." Shakti began. "The reason I won't date Morax is because if I did it wouldn't work out."

"Eh, sis what are you talking about?" Ardi questioned.

"Well I mean, he would get bored with me quite easily." Shakti said in a low voice. "After all I know how people see me. A strict and serious person who can't relax in the slightest. I'm well aware of this and that's just how I am." She admitted. "So I know that Morax who is so full of energy and a really relaxed individual most of the time would not mesh well with me. That's why I won't date him." She explained.

Nodding her head at her sisters' explanation Ardi walked over to her and then poked her square in the forehead.

"Ardi, what are you doing?" Shakti asked.

"I wanted to see if your brain had turned to mush, so I poked it to check." Ardi explained. "But it looks like it hasn't. Now then, stop all that talk." She said. "Sure you are strict and a bit too uptight at times. but Morax knows that. He knows that very well. Even so he still asks you out. He wouldn't do that if he wasn't serious about you. That's not the kind of guy he is. So stop talking nonsense and just go out with him. Or are you that scared of a date with a younger guy?"

"What, I'm not scared!" Shakti protested.

"Sure, sure you aren't." Ardi replied. Putting a cheeky grin on her face.

"Why you!" Shakti said.

She then put Ardi in a headlock and started messing up her hair.

"Stop, sis. I'm sorry. I'm sorry ok!" Ardi said.

But Shakti ignored her and continued messing with her.

Though she was wearing a smile on her face the entire time.

Ardi doing the same.

It is one of their sister moments after all.

As this was going on Shakti really thought about Ardi's words.

Thinking maybe she should give Morax at least one date. At least then he might stop asking her.

If Morax knew what Shakti was thinking he would be jumping for joy.

He would also be high-fiving Ardi.

Since she became his wingwoman without even trying.
