Chapter 63: The Birth of a Relationship

A/N: So yesterday I watched the episode where the Juggernaut finally appeared and I have to say the animation team did it justice.

The slaughtering, the carnage, and even the design. The Juggernaut was done to perfection. Which only makes this season of Danmachi even better.

But what sucks ass is that they are splitting the season into two parts.

Which I think sucks.

Especially since I wanted to see the risque scene between Bell and Ryuu.

Dammit!

Well if anyone knows when the second four of Danmachi is coming out let me know.

By the way the dub is coming for those interested.

Now onto the days chapter.

(3rd Person: POV)

Leaning against a tree in the park Rogue waited for Kaguya to arrive.

As he did so he took several deep breaths in an attempt to keep his nerves calms.

After all today is the day he is going to ask Kaguya to become his girlfriend.

In his sixteen years of life he had never done anything like this.

So it is making him incredibly nervous.

Even more so than the first time he stepped into the dungeon.

But Rogue is not going to run away despite his nervousness.

After the talk the other day with his mom, Athena, and fellow familia members while recovering from his very first hangover he did some soul searching and came to the realization that he wanted Kaguya to only be his and no one else's.

So whether things turn out good or bad he is going to convey his true feelings today.

Also, on a side note Rogue can't run away even if he wanted to.

That is because his fellow familia members are patrolling the area of the park to make sure that doesn't happen.

It's definitely not because they all want to witness Rogue confess and then mercilessly tease him and Kaguya afterwards when they all know they'll officially be a couple.

Nope, definitely not.

Continuing to work to keep his nerves calm Rogue noticed the cause of his situation walking towards him from the corner of his eye.

One Goujouno Kaguya.

Seeing Kaguya getting closer and closer all the methods Rogue used to calm his nerves immediately failed without question.

Feeling his mouth get dry and his hands get a bit clammy Rogue realized just how much seeing Kaguya affected him now that he finally realized his true feelings towards her.

'Ha, dammit.' Rogue thought.

He never expected himself to feel this kind of way.

But he can't say he hates it.

Kaguya continued walking towards Rogue until eventually she stopped a few feet in front of him.

"Good morning." Kaguya said.

"Yeah, good morning." Rogue managed to say. Despite his nervousness.

"So then, shall we begin?." Kaguya asked.

Since thanks to Rogue's hangover he had missed their last few training sessions.

Which Kaguya actually felt a bit sad about.

"Am, no." Rogue said.

"What, are you saying you wish to stop training with me?" Kaguya asked in a frank manner.

That's just the kind of person she is.

"No, that's not it." Rogue said. "So the thing is Kaguya....I would like you to be my girlfriend!" Rogue got out.

He then shut his eyes, waiting for Kaguya's response.

He expected a punch, a kick, maybe a verbal jab.

But when Rogue felt nothing after a minute he opened his eyes to see why.

As soon as he did so he saw Kaguya blushing profusely, holding her cheeks with her hands and looking shy.

Seeing this Rogue's brain temporarily short-circuited and the blue exe screen appeared in his head.

But thankfully that only lasted a moment until he rebooted.

As soon as this happened Rogue went a bit slack-jawed.

Because this is a side of Kaguya he had never seen.

Usually she's either brash or confident. Rogue has never seen her act bashful or shy since he met her.

So seeing that side of Kaguya in front of him right now is stirring various emotions within him.

As for Kaguya herself she couldn't believe what Rogue just asked her.

She herself had realized she was starting to develop deeper feelings towards him than just as a sex friend, but she wasn't sure if he felt the same.

Now however she was, and this had made her incredibly happy.

"Wh-What brought this on?" Kaguya managed to say.

"Well the other day during the morning me and the other guys were recovering from our hangover Diluc told the girls, my mom, and Athena about our relationship." Rogue explained.

"And how exactly did Diluc find out, hm?" Kaguya asked. Getting a bit of a frown on her face as she did so.

Since she and Rogue had promised each other to tell no one in either of their familia's about their sexual relationship.

It was nobodies business but their own after all.

"Well I kind of spilled the fact we were doing it when I went out drinking with the guys the other night." Rogue admitted.

"I see." Kaguya mused. "So basically you are only confessing because your familia find out about us?"

Rogue furiously shook his head. "Not at all Kaguya. Sure, them finding out played a part in it but not like how you think. My mother asked me a simple question after she heard about our relationship. She asked me if I would be ok with you dating someone else."

"And, what did you say?" Kaguya asked.

"I immediately answered no." Rogue said without hesitation. "Because in that moment when I picture someone else with you I got really angry and jealous. So that's when I realized how much I really liked you." He explained.

"I see." Kaguya said.

Her blush getting deeper as she did so.

"Yeah." Rogue said. His face becoming a tomato as he did so. "So Kaguya, what do you say? Be my girlfriend?"

As Rogue asked his question Kaguya looked at him and nodded.

"Yes. So please take care of me boyfriend." Kaguya said.

She then closed the distance with Rogue and wrapped her arms around his next.

Once she did she planted a chaste kiss on his lips.

Which Rogue returned without any hesitation.

Giving birth to their relationship as real lovers.

While this happened Morax and the other Athena Familia members looked on.

After seeing that Kaguya entered the park they quickly gathered and then decided to watch the show.

Which has not disappointed at all.

"Ah, I'm so happy for them." Millhiore said.

Voicing everyone's opinions on the scene.

They are all truly happy for Rogue and Kaguya.

But also happy they can now tease them about their relationship out in the open.

So it's a win-win situation for all involved.

Yes indeed.
