Chapter 25: The Astraea Familia

Just as we were about to move to engage the adventurers hoping to steal from and kill us they appeared.

The Astraea Familia.

I instantly recognized them from the gamecin my last life.

Alice, Kaguya, Lyra, Neeza, and the rest.

Minus Ryuu of course since she joined our familia instead.

Looking at this all female familia who takes it upon themselves to uphold justice in Orario, I have to admit they do look quite intimidating.

"Fuck, it's the Astraea Familia!"

"Those bitches, damiit!"

"It doesn't matter. We'll kill them just like any others." The boss said. He then placed his disgusting gaze upon Alice. "But first we're going to show them whose in charge."

"Hahaha, good one." Alice told the leader. A bright smile on her face as she did so. "But unfortunately for you the only guys I will even allow a chance to touch my body must be level three, have made it to the lower floors of the dungeon, and must have at least 100,00 valis in their pocket at all times. After all, I'm not dating a broke guy where I have to pay for everything. If you date me, pampering me will be a must. Since I am such a great catch." She explained.

'Sheesh. Someone has a lot of confidence.' I thought.

I knew Alice was quite the character from the games and the light novels but still...I never expected her to be this eccentric.

Though for some reason I find it quite refreshing.

At Alice's words the gang leader got an enraged expression on his face.

"Shut your mouth you cu-Agh!"

Before the leader could finish his sentence I took out one of remaining knives and threw it at him. My blade lodging itself straight in his left eye.

Looks like all that throwing practice is paying off.

"Fuck, my eye!" He cried. Falling to his knees.

"Stop whining." I told him. "Also, didn't your mother ever teach you it's rude to call a woman the c word unless she is a completely evil bitch with no hope of redemption hm?"

"Kill them! Kill them all!" The leader cried. Looking at me with his one good eye, which is completely bloodshot at the moment.

Sucks to be him.

As soon as the leader gave the order his lackeys sprung into action. Moving to attack us.

But as soon as they did so the power ranger waifus sprung into action.

And the Astraea Familia are power rangers, since I don't know what else to call them.

They go around fighting bad guys and saving innocents. Plus, they have the whole color scheme going on.

Alice is red, Kaguya is black, Lyra is pink, and Neeza is blue.

So yeah, power rangers no matter how I look at them.

Drawing the rapier situated on her left hip Alice charged forward. Dodging a slash aimed at her stomach she quickly stabbed the hand of the man who attempted to attack her, forcing him to drop his weapon. Once this happened Alice planted a kick in his chest, forcing him into the ground.

She might be eccentric, but her combat skills aren't shabby in the slightest.

"Magic users, go." One of the attackers shouted.

But as soon as the magic users began chanting they received daggers in their bodies, courtesy of the black-haired beauty Kaguya.

"Keep your filthy mouths shut. No one wants to hear anymore filth from any of you." Kaguya told the attackers, a smile on her face as she did so.

Right, I almost forgot.

Despite looking like a proper lady Kaguya has a foul mouth and rather crass personality.

As the enemies magic users got taken out the rest of the Astraea Familia moved in. Showcasing expert teamwork they took down the fifteen attackers in no time at all.

Seeing this all the color drained from the leaders face.

"Shit!" He shouted. The man then stood to his feet and began running away.

Oh, what a poor idiot.

Taking my spear I threw it straight at him and it lodged itself in his left leg, stopping him in his tracks.

"Agh!" The man shouted in pain.

But I ignored him.

Closing the distance I got right behind him and then leaned in close and whispered.

"This is what happens when you target me and my friends. Also, don't ever lay your filthy gaze upon our elf ever again." I told him in a completely cold voice.

I then grabbed his head and smashed it into the pavement without remorse.

Once I did so I removed my spear from his leg and walked back over to the others. Flicking the scums blood off my weapon as I did so.

Reaching them I came face-to-face with the Astraea Familia.

"Nice takedown." Lyra told me. "I like your style."

"Thanks." I told her. "Also, thanks for the assist."

"No problem." Alice spoke up. "As those who have chosen to uphold justice and fight against the evil infecting this city we will always help those in need." She told me.

I put a wry smile on my face at her words. She really is an eccentric person.

"Captain speak normally. You know people other than us can't understand you when you talk like that." Kaguya told Alice.

"Its fine, its fine." Alice said.

"It is not." Kaguya retorted.

The two of them then got into an argument.

As they did so I looked at Lyra. "So, are they always like this?"

"Yeah, more or less." Lyra said.

"I see." I said. "Well again, thanks for the assist but my friends and I will take our leave now if that's alright?"

"Sure." Lyra answered. "See you around."

"The same." I said.

Once I did so the others and I took our leave, Alicec and Kaguya still arguing with each other as we did so.

We walked for several minutes in silence until Ryner spoke up.

"Well, those ladies certainly were interesting." He said.

"Yeah." Gaul agreed. " But man, did you see the way they fought? So cool."

"Yes. It was." Ryuu added. "Just who were they though?"

" The Astraea Familia." I spoke up. "An all female familia who acts as the cities police force, fighting injustices that the guild nor the Ganesha familia can spare the manpower to do. Most of them are level two and it seems they have a pretty good track record in the dungeon as well. We can trust them. And we will definitely see then again in the future." I told the others.

Since we will work with them to bring down Evilus.

Which now that I have met them, doesn't seem like it will be bad at all.

No, certainly not.
