One Love

Staring at the claw that was about to grab Artemis, she closed her eye, ready for the impact of being caught by the creature.

Ah, why does a moment like this suddenly trigger a memory that makes me recall a conversation with Aphrodite?

Rather than its call 'conversation', but more like a conflict started from her. The topic is 'Love'? Boring life? 

A long time ago in heaven, as Hestia and Artemis were about to leave to take a bath, they were approached by Aphrodite who began picking a fight with Artemis. The Goddess of beauty asked Artemis if she didn't know love, stating that she was 2000% missing out in life by not knowing love, and deemed her to be "lame". Hestia attempted to stand up for Artemis, asking Aphrodite to stop picking a fight with her all the time, but Aphrodite told Hestia that she'd bully her if she tried to disobey her. As a Goddess of beauty, Aphrodite was the opposite of virgin Goddesses like Hestia and Artemis, which caused them to clash.

Aphrodite began mocking Artemis, saying that it was stupid for Artemis to be "playing hunting" with beasts, calling her a barbarian. She continued by saying that while Hestia was still loveable, Artemis and Athena were on the path to being failures as women due to being "impregnable virgins", and claimed they were cringy Goddesses that were mistaking virginity as something sacred, labelling them as "unpopular Goddesses" instead of "virgin Goddesses". Artemis, who'd been silent and emotionless the entire time, didn't understand what Aphrodite was saying but knew that she'd been insulted, causing her to grab her bow and aim it point blank at Aphrodite.

Fearing for her life, Aphrodite used her Arcanum to teleport, however it proved to be no use as Artemis' arrow still pierced her butt because Artemis never missed. Although Aphrodite constantly picked a fight with the virgin Goddesses, she was always defeated, and if Aphrodite was involved Athena would help Artemis even though the two Goddesses weren't particularly friendly with each other. After being defeated, Aphrodite would usually go crying to Hera, though Hera would simply laugh at her misfortune.

As Hestia and Artemis were about to leave for a second time, Aphrodite warped back over to them, stating that she was saying these out of kindness, adding that she definitely wasn't doing this because she heard some Gods mention that they preferred Artemis over her. Continuing on, she stated that chastity and purity were a selfish excuse to remain clean, and were an excuse used by women who didn't have the resolve to get dirty, stating that Artemis was definitely missing out because she hadn't experienced love.

"Love.... is it too late to find my love? Will I even be able to meet my orion?" said, Artemis who mumbling.

If someone takes a close look at Artemis, one can easily spot a teardrop coming from Artemis, fascinated, as if reluctant to die.

*Clang*

One second, two seconds pass, and yet the attack from the monster has yet to land on her. Being a goddess, she knew that the monster would take advantage of her power if she was caught by it. Still not being abducted by the monster, she opened her eye and found a girl who she saw early standing in front of her now.

Instead of being attacked by the monster, in exchange, the girl took it for herself.

In her sight, the girl was caught by the monster.

Although the girl was being held by the monster and her body was covered with blood, she still looked so calm and talked to her.

"Are you alright?" 

"Why?... Why would you save someone who is a stranger to you?" Artemis exclaimed with a horrified face. 

"Stranger?" The girl's hat fell off, and Artemis finally got a clear look at the girl's face. She noticed the girl looking at her with a face full of tiredness but still carrying a gentle smile. She said, "You may be a stranger to me, but not to somewhere around in this world, that someone who still cares about you and still awaits your return home."

"If... there is no such person..." The girl lifted her head, then smiled even brighter at Artemis and said, "I will be that person." 

Hearing this, Artemis felt a warm current in her heart. Even though now was not the right time, strong emotions began to emerge, making her unable to calm down.

As she reached out to save the girl...

"Artemis!" 

Mona rushed over and grabbed Artemis's hand, then turned to look at the girl. The girl nodded and told her to run.

And then girl was pulled into the ground and disappeared from their sight.

Goodbye, my second life. This time, I lived fully and without any regrets. Dad, Mom, I'm sorry, I'm will be leaving... Theocratia Bwynette, I can't wait to tell you how my adventure in Danmachi world....

Seeing this, Artemis was shocked that she even wanted to run to help the girl but was being held by Mona.

Witness this, Rizo punches the ground. "Fuck! Motherfucker!"

Everyone started running, and Rizzo decided to run in the back row with some adventurers, including the only dwarves in this team, who ran the slowest and stayed behind to guard the rear to prevent sneak attacks from irregular bosses.

Staring at the hole where the girl was pulled into the underground, Artemis stared blankly, and she also blamed herself. Because of her curiosity, this world lost its greatest heroine. If she hadn't come here, the girl would eventually live and could have eliminated that monster.

Is this the cost of her interference? Believe it or not, she wouldn't back down! Not even she knew she would receive harsh punishment! She has determined she is going to use her power to help revenge the dead girl and then apologise to the girl's soul.

Artemis took her hand away from Mona and made a run, heading to the hole where the girl disappeared. Her action caught Mona off guard and shocked others.

Rizo went to stop Artemis and tried to pull her back, not knowing that she was going to kill the monster with her powers. He speculated that perhaps it was Artemis's reaction to the guilt she felt for the dead heroine that led her to suicide.

On the other hand, Artemis easily dodged him and continued her way towards that hole

Everyone in here and included Rizo knew that, if there no problem, Artemis could be the first newborn S-rank adventurer of their town.

Rizo, Mona and other doesn't want their living goddess Artemis to do something stupid and they all rush to catch Artemis back.

But at this moment, when Artemis reached the hole, the girl who had earlier disappeared from their sight suddenly came out of the hole, causing Artemis to bump into her, but the girl was easily grabbed and held Artemis.

"Hmm?"

"Eh?"

"What the..." 

"HA?!"

When the girl princess carry Artemis and starting running, it doesn't took her few second and already run off the mountain. 

"EH?!?!~~" Artemis exclaimed.

They watched how fast this legendary S-rank adventurer fled so quickly that she disappeared from their sight in just a few seconds, as if she had disappeared like early into the ground.

All of them finally reacted and started running.

In their minds, they have already started to blame their parents for not giving them an extra leg.

The only dwarf who followed them into the mountain, due to his short leg and lack of speed, eventually fell behind, got tripped, and fell to the ground.

Rizzo, the amazoness, and one of the men stopped. They told the dwarf to stay still, then walked over to him and took turns rolling him around like a barrel and rolling him out.

Perhaps rolling him caused him vertigo, which caused him to vomit and spray out. All the fellow adventurers who were near him included the three kind fellows who also got stained by the vomit from him.

"AHHH!!!!!!!! AFTER WE GET OUT OF THIS, I"M GONNA KILL YOU!" Exclaimed the amazoness, who was the first victim stained by the vomit.

"After this, I'm going to seek a therapist!"

"Same here!"

"Quit it! I'm gonna steal all your therapist!"

"Hop me on the list as well too!"

"My dear boyfriend, do you think I'm a fool that I don't know what you guys saying 'therapist' mean?!" Exclaimed by a female adventurer. 

"Yeah! Break up with him!"

"You got my full support!"

"If you break up with him, I recommend myself to you!"

When everyone was running at the same time, that guy randomly wanted to join the conversation by simply answering but didn't know the answer would get him into trouble with his girlfriend, and all of them took the chance to join in to backstabbing him.

"Hey fuck you all! Ain't we talking about therapist? And I mean it!"

"Yeah, you do want to pay extra money to get a special service from these 'Therapist'~," said a girl answering his question in a teasing voice, especially mentioning the word 'therapist'.

It took a few seconds for the guy to process and understand. He soon realised what a 'therapist' word coming from their mouth meant and got him to accelerate up to chase up his girlfriend.

"Just... *BLURG* left MeEEe heREee!" Exclaimed the dwarf.

"What are you saying?! We aren't gonna left you behi... *BLURG BLARG BLUURUUGUGGUUGLLL* YUCK!!!!"

When Rizo opened his mouth, he tried to console the dwarf, but then he got a sense of bitter taste and a tiny liquid flowed into his mouth.

"EEeeek!!!" exclaimed Amazoness, who just ran beside Rizo and noticed Rizo suddenly stop talking and barf so hard. She didn't need to ask him... she already knew what's caused. 

The sound between Rizo and Amazoness caught everyone's attention, and they turned their heads to see what happened to Rizo.

They didn't take much time to process after reading both of their facial reactions. Eventually, they all agree in silence and zip their mouths, with no further words coming out of their mouths either.

On the other hand, Artemis was princess carried by the girl, and both of them didn't take much time and had already made their way out of the entrance. 

Artemis can't claim herself down, especially with the girl's hand tightly gripping her buttocks. She knew the girl didn't intend to grope her there, even though she knew they were both girls; however, she just couldn't bear thinking about it as long as the warm hand of the girl was still on her buttocks. 

This is the first time someone has been bold enough to grope her butt, and she didn't feel any malicious intentions from the girl either. 

She raised her head and glanced at the girl. They were so close, especially for her, as it was her first time being princess carried plus just one look at the girl was enough to make her face flush, and *smoke* came out of her head.

Her heart was beating so fast that she could hear it. Even knowing this, she still couldn't control the unknown feeling that kept flooding her.

She thought that if she just stayed away from this girl, she would eventually return to normal, but for some reason, there was a part of her that didn't want that... her body had become addicted to her embrace.

Taking a deep breath to calm herself down, she looked at the girl again.

This time, she dumps away any distractions that keep occupying her mind. She is going to open her mouth to ask the girl to put her down, but the moment she looks at the girl, she loses herself and is once again fascinated by her glamour.

And as for the girl, her eye fixed deep into the entrance. She was waiting for the rest of the adventurers to come out.

Weirdly, I did inform them to run, and yet they are still there. Is it that I didn't make it clear?

I looked at the girl in my arms, and when I looked at her, I saw that she was staring at me. When our eyes met, she immediately looked away. Could she be feeling guilty because she didn't do what I told her?

I thought she was the leader of this team, so I brought her here, hoping to lure the others over.

When the girl looked at her, Artemis didn't know why she didn't take the opportunity to told the girl put her down. Looking back, she didn't know why she looked away either, and now the feelings were really complicated. She can't even find herself a reasonable explanation to defend her act.

Soon after, she heard the whispering voice coming from the girl, looked at her again, and found her mumbling.

"Seven, six, five, four... thanks goodness they finally made it...."

Or else they were going to die and be buried in this mountain along with the monster boss, which I planted a boom on.

When the girl mentioned these adventurers, Artemis looked at them, who had finally come out. She could easily sense that the irregular monster leader was still deep underground, which was why she wasn't worried about them. She also wouldn't deny that her thoughts were all on the girl.

Soon, she regrets. Eventually, she finds herself guilty. The girl's stopping counting doesn't mean the time has stopped. 

*BOOM!*

A harsh sound can be heard.

The sound is like an explosion coming from the direction where they just came out, which is located deep in the heart of the mountain.

With the sound that could be heard, it didn't take a few seconds. A terrified impact caused some of the adventurers who were still at the entrance to fly out and land a few metres away from their early spot.

"AH!"

"Mommy!"

"My Goddess, please rescue me!"

But the latter, the goddess, has disappointed him because she was still a princess carried by the legend S-rank adventurer. 

Well, all of them didn't hurt from the impact, but just one of them hit the jackpot.

"AH!!! SH*T!!!!!!!!!!!" 

Everyone turns their heads and looks at the person who just screams with the loudest voice, and his voice has succeeded in gaining everyone's attention.

That's real sh*t... Bruh got his face violence by sh*t.... Maybe today wasn't his day...

"They say if you step on sh*t, consider that's your lucky day, but *pfft* I don't know if the face land on sh*t count or not." Said by Mona

"Congratulation *pfft* on that! HAHAHA..." 

"Eww, I wouldn't want to triggered that kind of luck."

"I SWEAR TO THE GODDESS! IF I CAUGHT THIS WILD BOAR, I MAKE SURE THAT WILD BOAR WILL SUFFER THROUGH HELL BEFORE ENTERING MY STOMA..."

*RUMBLING*

When they are making fun of the unlucky and while the unlucky guy is cursing, suddenly an earthquake shows up and a rumbling noise can be heard from the mountain.

The earthquakes shocked them, getting them ready for the worst, and they thought it might be the irregular monster boss coming out.

They all looked at the pillars of their team, the living goddess Artemis and the legendary S-level adventurer, but the latter did not react at all.

Soon after the earthquakes end, they finally felt at ease and someone start gossip

"Is our goddess Artemis hurting her leg? Why is she still being carried by 'the walking catastrophe'?" 

"I don't know... but she is also very beautiful and is a 'HUGE' one, and none in this world yet can be comparable to her!" said by a guy who looked at 'the walking catastrophe' breast.

"I don't think anyone will deny that, especially the "HUGE' part you mentioned."

Leave these guys aside, most of the adventurers would start searching for any water source nearby to clean off their bodies, which were stained by the vomit from that dwarf. 

Mona is one of the lucky people who is the first one to run ahead, so she didn't get stained. She went and approached to greet her heroine.

"Hi, I-I'm Mona! It is my honour to be able to meet you!

"Pleasure to meet you, I'm Skadi an adventurer from the kingdom of Ikaros."

Far away from the mountain

The early crew, who stayed behind in the forest to collect the magic stone, and people in the town were affected by the earthquakes from the mountain, which did reach that far due to what suddenly happened, which put them in panic.

What makes it worse is that a spectacularly large mountain that was within their view suddenly collapsed and turned into a small mountain.

People in the guild adventure, like Amaya and the guild master, got worried, so they started praying for their adventurer to return safely.

On the other side, Rizo and the other adventurer finally found a lake, male, female, or not. They just jumped into the lake with their clothes on in hope of getting rid of the smell of vomit on their bodies. 

Especially Rizo...

"YUCK!" 

Just recall what happened to got him in this current state, A shiver spread from the spinal cord throughout the body.

"Rizo you need help?" said, a guy just show up asking Rizo.

This guy who have a very strong femboy aura approached Rizo and worriedly asked.

Rizo knows this person, especially the one that he caught confessing his love to him while back in the adventure guild.

Seeing how this person coming towards him got him to tighten up his anus for some reason. He distances himself from this person and responds, "Nah, I'm fine... Maybe right after going back to town, I really need to seek a 'therapist'."

Hmm... just looking at how my fanfic remain unpopular, when compared to other new starter... I guess just like how life isn't fair. UNLUCKY~ (๑>؂•̀๑)

Maybe because my title I guess? I'm not sure I can changing or not. If can... still no good in figure out a name.

Anyway, It's been a month and a week since I wrote this fanfic! Yay! I have written 40K+ word in only 11chapter. I hope the reader who read my fanfic at least enjoyed I squeezed my brain into jam and paste on it.

Upcoming around 20K word I will try to end the dark age part 1 then took a break. Writing the dark age was kinda hard, fun and lost... I guess only I had fun researching in dark age by myself but in the same time not gonna lie it was kinda downhearted.

And Chinese isn't my native language too. Ahaha, that's my second. I just had my native language translated to Chinese then translate into English to double make sure does it read alright? And I wrote in English. 

After a chapter, the next day I will take a rest, the second day maybe I'm in mood writing again when getting cheered up by the result, the third day writing, the fourth day might be still writing and took me a day to revised the chapter Iike checking grammar. 

Took me half day to write 1k words. Since I'm a school student I won't be able get inner peace to write.
