38 37. Final Test 1

Howard woke after sometime hearing sounds of multiple people, he went towards window and saw many people outside, he thought that he missed the exam and panicked, then he heard a voice,

"Don't worry kid, there is no need for you to take those tests"(???)

Howard got terrified because he didn't see or sense anyone coming into the room, but calmed down and turned his head to look at the person, he is a middle aged person with round face and black hair ,he wore black pants and white robe which had a red badge with lion on it. He smiled at Howard and introduced himself,

"Nice to meet you, My name is Matt and I am from Hogwarts and about my identity, you will know if you make it to Hogwarts, I currently sent here as doctor to support participants, due to some unfortunate circumstances, you fought with Ogres which are meant to be used to test warriors and knights but your act of bravery in fighting them has caught the attention of a influential person of Hogwarts, the test has 5 rounds and due to your merit, you are exempted from first 4 rounds and you can directly participate in last round which is conducted tomorrow, you can take rest for now, right here. Tomorrow before the test, I will send someone to escort you to the testing centre which is not here."(Matt)

"But si-"(Howard)

"Okay bye and all the best~"(Matt)

Matt left without even giving a chance for Howard to speak, he felt a little annoyed but there is nothing he could do, so he just took some medicine which is on a table opposite to bed and dozed off in sleep.

Howard woke up at night, had a luxury dinner and trained for sometime in his room before he slept.

Next day morning, a butler with same badge as Matt escorted him to a plane, plane is that is invented by the Sovereign and brought into this world by 3 Ancestors, it is like a Huge carriage with rooms,lobby,kitchen,dining hall, training grounds,VIP hall, restaurant, theatre and many more, and the whole structure is like a bird, it has 2 big wings, 2 small wings and the plane is run by magic crystals, but the plane in front of them only had a carriage with a single floor, and it is carried by wyverns instead of magic crystals, it is a cheap version of the plane and called 'Wyvern carriage', obviously it is for taking participants for final exam, there are about 200 people in front of the carriage and other participants are slowly joining them, Howard thanked the butler and joined them, after 30 minutes the crowd grew to 250 people, then a man with horns came in front of the crowd and coughed to take the attention of the crowd,

"Nice to meet you, I am the chief examiner of the test, the last test will be conducted in various places different for different classes, mage participants will first leave through the wyvern carriage behind me, there are 75 selected candidates and 1 merit candidate, we generally don't take any recommendation candidates but the person has accomplished a great task for his age and abilities, so it's an exception, the identity of the candidate is confidential, Lastly all the best, don't discuss nonsense and quietly board up the carriage."

After he finished speaking all the mage candidates slowly boarded the carriage, it had about 100 single seats, there were 76 candidates and 20 staff how got seated. Howard sat in a place which is slightly isolated from the rest, no one doubted him because there were thousands of candidates and only 76 of them made it to finals, most of them are unfamiliar with each other, the journey was relatively quiet but there are some 'rotten' apples everywhere~.

After 6-7 hours, the carriage descended in a lush forest, all the candidates got out under surveillance of staff. After they got out, they saw another man with blue robes on him,

"Hello, nice to meet you, you worked extremely to come to this point, the last test will be divided into 2 phases, in the 1st phase you will have to create 5 spells in whatever attribute or type of magic you have, if you don't have any spells related to creation, we will provide you some grimoires which will give you some hints. This place is one of the places which has thick mana density in the atmosphere, in the entire world. Your existing spells or the spells you have already learnt will be sealed by sealing orb for 5 days , so your time limit will be five days and among the 5 spells you create there should be 1 offensive spell, 1 defensive spell and 1 support spell. You will be supervised by the staff all the time, any type of malpractice will not be allowed, if you are caught , then you will be suspended, so be careful. I will talk about 2nd phase after completion of 1st phase, Also the 1st person to complete the task has a privilege to take the 2nd phase test before 5 days, Lastly, All the best"

All the participants were led to their designated places, Howard was sent near a large tree before they sealed his spells, which is isolated from the rest, even the nearest person is atleast 2-3 miles away from him, Howard sat down started to absorb the mana in the atmosphere and trying to concentrate it.....

time skip:-5 days

In the past 5 days, Howard has been working hard trying to create spells but he had no results, so he picked up some grimoires at read it for an entire day before he got some enlightenment.He noticed that he also had good affinity with wind.

He created 5 spells successfully,

6.[Nature's grace (C)]:- Can improve the condition of flora and fauna around you, and can also know about them.

A examiner came to him and said,

"Kid, the seal will wore off today evening ,you should show the spells you've created by then or else you will be disqualified!"

"Ok sir, I have already completed it"(Howard)

"Completed.. that's good, okay then inform chief supervisor and come to me, I will check it. The guy who wore blue robe and told you about the test is the chief supervisor."

"Yes, sir"(Howard)

Howard thanked the examiner and came to supervisor to inform about it but he found his secretary instead, the secretary took his details and sent him back. Howard came back and the examiner asked,

"Shall we start?"(examiner)

"Yes sir"(Howard)

"Wait! you don't have a staff or wand?"(examiner)

"I don't, I am very poor to afford it."(Howard)

"Okay, you can take mine"(examiner)

Examiner passed his black wand to Howard, Howard thanked him, and took a position opposite to the tree he was given,

"Ok, let's start with offensive spell"

"Wind arrow"

A magic circle appeared in front of wand and wind gathered and formed the figure of arrow and it the tree putting a hole in it's trunk,

"Passed, next I will attack you, protect yourself with your defensive spell"(examiner)

"Flame pierce!!"

A very small magic circle appeared on examiner's and fire rushed out of it in the direction of Howard,

"Mud wall!!"

A huge wall of mud rose up from the ground and blocked the fire,

"Haaa"

The examiner's fire was strong for Howard but he still hung on, until the examiner stopped it.

"passed, next support spell"

"Okay, Levitate!!"

He used the spells on rocks to levitate them, examiner didn't speak anything for a second and finally said,

"Passed, next show your other two spells"

"Thermal wind!!"

Temperature around them suddenly dropped and raised simultaneously, examiner got stunned but recovered quickly and let out a smile saying,

"Temperature spell right? it's interesting. Passed, show your last spell, you will be qualified for next phase."

"Nature's grace!!!"

Howard took a old dying plant and used his magic on it, the plant produced buds and got rejuvenated.

"Another unique spell, impressive. Congratulations Mr.Howard for successfully passing the 1st phase of final round, you are now qualified for second phase, come with me, others should have completed too."(examiner)

Examiner took Howard deep inside the forest, to a lush green place , there is the chief supervisor along with couple of other people and 4 participants.

"Supervisor here comes the last one, his name is Howard, he also created 2 unique spells like that girl."(examiner)

After hearing words of the examiner, most of the people had their eyes wide open because the girl who created unique spells is a princess of Hanneman empire, who is hailed as magic prodigy and taught by world class experts.

"That's good the quality of participants is more this time compared to last time."(mob examiner)

"Okay now, 5 of you have successfully passed the 1st phase but there is a girl named Minerva Hanneman has created 5 spells in 3 days and already completed her 2nd phase test and got admitted to Hogwarts."(Supervisor)

"What?"

"No that's amazing."

"Yes in my entire time as supervisor, I've never saw anyone like her, but participants don't get discouraged, you also have chance too, now after 2nd phase, only 1 of will be able to get admission in Hogwarts, the final test is battle royale, fight against each other, there are medics here, so don't worry about anything and give your all, killing or crippling is not allowed, the single one standing at the end will pass, so
