Chapter 1: Anomaly in time

Timeline – War Game (Canon)

In the city of Orario, many people were excited about what was about to happen the next morning, a war game between Hestia Familia and Apolo Familia. Many of the adventurers were betting among themselves, that Familia would be the one that would win. Only one of the two Families could win.

The gods were very interested, curious, and excited, as most of the gods came down from Tenkai so they could entertain themselves with mortals and war games on very few commons. So many of these gods had high expectations about the spectacle that was about to be served before them.

But the excitement of all the Orario gods quickly dissipated as they felt a great power, this power had an overwhelming divinity that made all the Gekai gods turn pale with fear and anxiety. Although most of them were more incredulous and curious about the sudden events.

The great power came from the East of the City of Melen, in this city all the inhabitants were looking at the sea with astonishment, disbelief, and fear, because on the sea that connected with the City of Melen, a Great Tree reappeared so suddenly and abruptly.

The tree was gigantic, much bigger than anything they had seen, the only thing that could be compared in height was the tower of Babel. The tree, besides being big, had beautiful green, purple, and yellow leaves that resembled clouds.

The gigantic tree did not appear alone, under the tree a large cliff was formed surrounded by palm trees of regular size. The sea surrounded the cliff making it look like a small island in the middle of the sea. Then from the cliff, as if by magic, a small spiral-shaped natural path began to form, to later form a large amount of sand that connected perfectly with the sea.

And to create even more beauty, a waterfall was created, which began to fall from the highest point of the cliff to the sea. The creation of the island with the gigantic tree was in a matter of seconds and nothing on the island that was suddenly created seems artificial. It all looked so natural, that if the inhabitants had not seen it with their own eyes, they would have thought that the giant tree has been there for years.

After the beautiful show that the Tree of Ever After gave to the people of Melen City. The roots of the tree began to connect with the earth of the world, causing the entire world of Gekai to begin to shake.

A tremor, so strong and so abrupt that it began to damage buildings with less support, which were old in a matter of seconds. Everyone in Gekai felt the tremor. Orario, Rakia, The Empire, Alf Royal Forest, Altenia, Telskyura. No inhabitant of the world could be saved from this phenomenon of nature.

Fortunately, the quake only lasted 30 seconds, enough time for everyone to panic and disarray.

Once the quake ended, the winds around the world became erratic and unnatural.

In the city of Orario, specifically under the Guild. A god stood up from his throne to look up, and even though people looked like this god was looking at the roof or the first floor of the Guild building. It was the complete opposite. This god was a powerful being who was using his divinity to prevent the monsters in the dungeon from leaving him.

This god was Ouranos, who was one of the first gods to come down from Heaven and the first to give a falna.

A few seconds after Ouranos stood up with a look of disbelief, his servant Fels entered the Room of Prayer below the Guild. No features of Fels can be seen, as it wears a black robe that covers its face and body.

"Master, do you know the meaning of what just happened a few minutes ago?" Although Fels' gestures cannot be appreciated, from their tone of voice it can be concluded that it was nervous about recent events.

Ouranos stopped looking at the ceiling in a pensive manner and looked at his follower. "I never thought this was possible, but I do believe what it is. The situation in the world would depend on the invading subjects and their motives."

"Invading subjects? Are you referring to Evilus, Master?" Fels asked though it was very dubious about the question it posed.

"No. It's something that could do a lot of good in the world or cause a lot of chaos and destruction. We won't know for sure until we know who these invaders are."

"Why are the invaders referring to themselves?"

"There was a dimensional rupture. One that should never have happened, since it would be impossible to cause one, especially in this world."

And as if the words of Ouranos were true.

The sky of the world was broken into fragments, and although this rupture was much more visible in Melen City, and the cities and towns that were near Melen, almost all people could observe it.

A great yellow light circled over the City of Melen, this light was very similar to a shooting star, and its size was similar to a beach ball.

Only 37 seconds passed when the sky broke into fragments again, this time the great shooting star-like light was peachy-pink.

The third time the sky of the world was broken, two shooting stars appeared at the same time, one was red and the other was black.

The sky broke again for the fourth time and each time they made the citizens of Melen and Orario more and more nervous, this time the great light was white as snow.

The five great lights looked like they were going to descend and crash near the ocean of Melen and near the new great tree that appeared in the world.

The sky was broken into fragments for the last time, when a great light that shone much more strongly than the other lights appeared in the sky, this shooting star was a golden-white color that captivated several people in the world.

It didn't take long before the shooting stars one by one crashed onto land and ocean.

Gekai now has six Remnant invaders.

When Jaune's consciousness returned, the first thing he saw was water.

The water flooded his vision, his eyes stung from the salt that the water contained, he flinched as a stinging pain reached his eyes. His lungs fought desperately to swallow oxygen, but all he swallowed was water.

As if that wasn't enough, he was feeling a stabbing pain in the back of his skull, his body flooding from the sting that had occurred from hitting the surface of the water, even though he had slowed his fall thanks to the shield, he could still feel the pain in his body from the collision with the surface of the sea.

He tried to control the direction his body was facing, but the ocean current was too strong for him to oppose it, he felt like he was spinning and circling, he tried to squint to see something, but the burning in his eyes prevented him, all he could see was a blurry bluish clear.

He tried to do anything to get out of the current, but it was increasingly difficult to think, especially with the great oppression in his chest, he was not sure how much water he had forced down in a desperate attempt to breathe oxygen. He tried to hold his breath, but once the water was forced down his throat, he found it impossible to do so.

As the edges of his eyes began to darken, his head rose above the surface of the water before it sank back down. But that brief moment of breathing that it gave him was what was necessary for him to gain strength.

Jaune realized that the sea was dragging him to the edge of a beach, so he used what little aura he had left to push himself to the surface of the sea. When his head came out of the water, his body immediately began to cough heavily, he began to expel large amounts of water from his mouth. His body reacts to his survival instincts.

His feet touched the softness of the sand, and even though his legs screamed for him to give up and stop walking, even though his body demanded rest, he refused to give up and began to walk to the edge of the beach, With slow, hesitant steps, he could feel the waves lapping at his back, pushing him closer to shore.

When Jaune was sure his head would not sink back into the salty sea, he let his legs give way, so that he began to crawl on his knees and hands, his long fingers digging up a handful of wet sand as he worked his way forward.

The sand on the beach stretched out towards a sheer cliff. He was able to observe a great waterfall flowing from the top of the cliff joining the sea, which was surrounded by quite dangerous rocks, but which he was sure were quite resistant and durable.

The sand fades away and merges with a path overgrown with palm-leafed trees. But what caught his attention the most was the giant tree that stood up like a shadowy hand trying to grab the sky, and the branches that diverged from the tree like a hand shape spread out with green, purple, and yellow leaves that gave the illusion of being clouds.

Jaune could feel that the armor on his chest, shoulders, and forearms was weighing down from the sand sticking to it, his sweater and pants were soaked and stuck to his skin, and he felt that his clothes had gained extra weight from the water that his clothes had absorbed. His once-combed hair was now soaked and messy.

Another wave splashed on the shore, swallowing Jaune's forearms in a mist of sea foam and loose sand. For a brief moment, he could see a blur of his own disturbed, grim, and frightened expression reflected in the twisted surface of the water. Then, just as quickly as the wave came, it receded smoothly. The brief calm that the water gave him on his forearms disappeared, leaving him with only the slippery wet sand.

Jaune gritted his teeth and pushed forward until his body gave way against his will, due to all the struggle he put up in the fight in the relic dimension and his body's fight against the sea.

His forehead hit the sand as his body convulsed to expel the last bits of water his lungs had swallowed, his chest heaving as his breathing returned to normal.

Jaune looked ahead as he blinked and squinted, his slightly blurry vision beginning to become sharper. Jaune was confused about where he was at.

"Where..." he looked around the beautiful beach where he was "...am I?"

Jaune closed his eyes as he let the sound of the waves and the wind calm him down, he doesn't know how long he kept his eyes closed, desperate not to think about what had happened in the relic's dimension.

But no matter how hard he tried to keep from thinking about what he had done, what he did to Penny, his mind always returned to his sword inserting itself into her body.

Jaune's eyes widened and he stood up shakily, then he leaned on his knees and bowed his back, vomiting soon coming from him. The muscles of his back trembled from the force that his body exerted, his throat began to ache from expelling so much water and vomit, and his eyes filled with tears that he desperately tried to stop with his eyelids.

Once his body couldn't vomit any more of the last meal he had obtained in Atlas, Jaune went to the seashore and grabbed a little water with his hands to clean the remains of vomit that clung to his lips. He didn't let the water enter his mouth, he didn't know how clean the sea water was, so he didn't risk drinking it.

Jaune looked at the reflection of the sea for a few minutes, he got scared when his reflection changed to Penny's shape, startled Jaune tripped and fell on his ass on the sand, he tried to take big breaths to control his breathing agitated.

He snapped out of his dark thoughts when a silver glow caught his attention from the corner of his eye, it was his scabbard which was guarding his Crocea Mors sword which was currently broken, he got up and went to grab his weapon before charging it into the mechanism of his forearm. He put a hand on his forehead to block out some sunlight.

A few meters away from the seashore was Ruby's gun. Crescent Rose, this one was in the form of a Scythe. He walked over to his best friend's gun and searched for the mechanism to compact the gun. Once he found the mechanism, he activated it causing the weapon to compact into its save mode.

He keep to the Crescent Rose behind his back, just below the waist, and hook it to a mechanism where he could safely hide or store weapons.

He look at the ocean specifically at the port and at the city that was across the ocean. If he squinted his eyes well, he can observe the ships that are approaching in the distance. He wasn't sure where they were going to tie the boats on this deserted island, but he guessed that these people have an anchor or something that tethers the boat to the ground, like in those comics he read.

He sighs wistfully.

When was the last time he relaxed and did something fun? He did some fun activities in Atlas, but mostly he was focused on getting stronger, worst of all, no matter how strong he had become since Beacon, it never seemed to be enough.

He was never enough to save anyone, he always failed, always failing.

It was all his fault, if only he had never faked his transcripts in Beacon, maybe someone more competent, someone stronger than him, would have managed to save all the people he couldn't save.

If only he had stayed home, he would never have taken away the opportunity for someone competent to enter Beacon, if only he had not been so selfish for wanting to become a hero, perhaps Pyrrha would never have sacrificed herself in a desperate attempt to get the maiden back and do the right thing.

Or maybe if he was much stronger in those days if he had trained much harder than he trained at Beacon. Maybe Pyrrha would never have pushed him away, maybe together they could fight Cinder, and while he wasn't sure if they both would have won against Cinder, at least we would have fought long enough for reinforcements to arrive.

If he had been so strong he wouldn't have had to kill Penny, with Pyrrha at least he could fool himself into that her death was someone else's fault, but with Penny he can't blame anyone.

Jaune Arc is now a murderer and now he can't deny it, his first murder being one of his friends with his bare hands.

He shook his head, pushing away all the guilt and uselessness that was building up in his mind, this was not the time to get depressed, he had to find the girls. There was a possibility that they were found trapped on the island along with him.

Also, if he wants the people on the ship to be able to find him then he has to find a place where they can easily observe him. So the best option would be that cliff above the waterfall that sticks out like a sore thumb, but to get to that place he has to go through the forest of the deserted island.

He sighed, this was going to take time.

.

.

.

He doesn't know how long he's been cutting the leaves off the palms and trees so they don't obstruct his path, but he's sure he's been walking for a few minutes and his body still hasn't recovered from all the abuse, but even so, he ignored the stinging sensation in his legs and continued to cut any obstruction in his path.

He stopped when he heard a sound, it was much like the sound of the hands of a clock, curious as he made his way in the direction of the sound he was hearing. Once he reached the place where the sound was coming from, he crouched down and leaned on his scabbard weapon to take a short breath of air.

Jaune looks at what was causing the sound of the hands of a clock, disbelief did not take long to be present. What Jaune had in front of him was a strange-shaped tree that had clocks as fruit. And a red-rimmed clock in the center of the trunk of the tree.

A tree that has clocks like fruit, how strange is that to him? He has indeed observed many things that I never consider real, but this tree is in the palm of the strange things that Jaune Arc has seen.

He didn't know what use these trees had, but if what he was thinking is true, then he could help him. He knew that it was still daylight because of the sun's rays, but he wasn't sure what time of day it was, so having a clock to count the days that he could be trapped on this island was quite useful. Since his Scroll doesn't work thanks to the water.

He came closer to see the tree that has clocks attached to the tips of its branches. He looked at the clock attached to the tree trunk, and although they had a symbol that he couldn't read, even he could conclude that it was almost dusk. 6:45 PM to be almost exact.

Jaune looked at one of the clocks that hung on the tip of the branch, he reached out his hand to take the clock before forcing himself to pull it out.

A chill ran through Jaune's entire body, but before he could know what was happening the world froze.

The air, the water, the wind, the clouds, the sunlight, the animals, the people, and even the gods that were in the world. The watch's divine force was so strong that everyone was affected except the person holding the watch itself. Jaune Arc.

"Eh!" Jaune was shocked by the sudden change in the entire atmosphere around him. The next second the hands of the clock in his hand began to spin rapidly counterclockwise.

He shuddered when he felt that everything was receding, in the sky the clouds moved as if they were receding and the sun that was about to hide began to rise. The sunset quickly began to fade and dawn dawned. Then the sky darkened.

"Wait, what?" Jaune looked wide-eyed and skin pale as he realized the implications, if he had never read the comics he might not have realized it, but being a fan of comics of various genres. Jaune didn't take long to recognize what was happening with the whole environment around him.

Time was receding in the direction of the past.

"Hey! No!" Jaune said trying to stop what was happening, then he watched as shooting stars appeared in the sky as he went back in time. "Wait, wait!" Jaune screamed when he realized what those shooting stars meant. They were White, Red, Black, and Yellow. Although he didn't know who the Pink color was, he had a slight suspicion. "Stop! I said stop!"

The colored shooting stars disappeared from the sky, then something happened that he did not anticipate in any way.

The damn island vanished out of nowhere.

One moment he was standing on the land of the strange island and the next moment the island completely disappeared as if it never existed.

He was now 30 meters in the air and was about to land in the middle of the ocean, far from civilization. That was not good news for him.

But before he could fall (if gravity was working on him as he went back in time) a mysterious force pushed him hard and was taking him in a direction he had no idea.

"What is happening?" Jaune cried out in fear, the feeling akin to a telekinetic force moving him in a direction, much like when Pyrrha used her Semblance on him to forcefully push him into the wall.

And if anyone was asking, he wasn't screaming like a girl, the voice in his screaming was 100% male.

As he was pushed, the sky repeatedly changed from night to day, then night and day, repeating successively at a speed that disturbed him. And he couldn't break the damn watch because something was pulling him hard into an unknown place.

Jaune looked over his shoulder and was startled as the force was pushing him towards civilization, for which he was relieved since he didn't have to swim to dry land. If that had been the case, he doesn't know if he could have managed to swim to land.

Once Jaune arrived at the port of the city to which he was forced to stay. The force pushed him to the ground, causing him to fall and roll on the sand of the seashore and he heard a crack of something breaking, he did not realize what had broken until the whole environment began to return slowly to normal.

Jaune lying on his back and his heart was pounding with force from the sheer adrenaline he received from the supernatural thing that had just happened to him. He took several breaths to calm his heart, he was sure his heart was going to leave his body.

He sat up with his legs stretched out and put his arms in his lap, then he turned his head to look at the city he had arrived at. Some people on the beach were looking at him in shock and surprise.

Jaune ran a shaky hand through her hair and took a shaky breath, before standing up and looking at the eldritch clock broken in the sand.

"What the hell just happened?" Jaune couldn't help but curse at his luck.

This day was the strangest for Jaune, he could only ask for a momentary rest and respite.

Unfortunately for Jaune Arc, the world was not planning to give him a break.

Gekai now only has a Remnant invader.

Timeline - 7 Days before the Great Feud.

Well, Jaune is in a world where he can become a hero, let's see how this boy alters the timeline with his stubbornness and determination.

By the way, who do you want Jaune's partner to be? I haven't decided yet, but I think Alise or Kaguya or maybe someone else like Ardee. It all depends on your support and the direction the story takes.
