Chapter 3: Hostess of Fertility

(A/N What Death looks like.)

Lawliet was walking through the streets of Orario. Looking for the Hostess of Fertility it actually took him around an hour until he finally found it. It was already night and Death hadn't contacted him yet about where they were staying. Luckily he did get some Valis from Death before he left.

Lawliet then walked inside and was immediately greeted by a girl with black hair and cat ears. He knew who this was of course but he wasn't going to act like he did. Lawliet smiled "Hey can I just sit at the bar."

The black cat girl nodded her head "Yeah I can take you there. My names Chloe by the way nyaa."

Lawliet smiled again and said "I'm Lawliet nice to meet you."

Chloe took him over to the bar and said "No last name?"

Lawliet thought for a moment "Honestly better if people don't know it."

Chloe started to snicker "Oh a mysterious customer nyaa."

Lawliet shrugged "Can I see the menu."

Chloe nodded "Here you go someone else will help you nyaa."

Lawliet waited around into a beautiful maid with silver hair came up. He looked into her soul and smirked. He saw this woman had two souls. One of the Goddess Freya and one of the woman known as Syr.

Lawliet shook his head. Syr then came up and said "Hello I'm Syr and I will be serving you today."

Lawliet sighed "I'm Lawliet nice to meet. I would just like to know whether I'm talking to Freya or Syr."

Syrs eyes widen as she took a seat. She got deadly quiet figuring that no one would just randomly say that. "How do you know."

Lawliet smirked "Well since Freya knows anyways I can see people's souls. I already saw Freyas previously it was easy to distinguish and tell which one is which. So I will ask again who am I speaking to."

Syr was quiet for a moment "Right now you are talking to Syr."

Lawliet smiled "Good let Freya know she should think about whose kid she is messing with."

After that Syr left and then a blonde elf came up to take his order. "What would you like today?"

Lawliet thought for a moment and then said "I don't know it's my first time here what would you recommend."

Ryuu then said "Well I recommend the special today?"

Lawliet just smiled knowing how she was already based off what he could remember. "I will have two of the special then."

Ryuu just nodded and walked off. Lawliet then just sat their thinking for a moment about what he could remember. He didn't remember himself much from his past life but he did remember what he experienced. Lawliet thought about how his personality was but could not remember. Also while he was trying to gadge his personality based off his experiences an actions he took in his past life. It was still hard to understand because some actions would contradict others. He could not remember friends or family either. He saw people but could not even tell you their names much less what they are like.

While Lawliet was still thinking on this two plates got dropped right in front of him. Both plates had something that looked like steak but much bigger it was almost like half a cow each. He then looked up and saw Ryuu still with no emotion.

Ryuu then said "Anything else?"

Lawliet smiled "One last thing. Would you like to join my Familia?"

Ryuu immediately just walked away. Lawliet then shrugged and just started eating. Syr then walked over while he was eating.

Syr sighed "You know you should not have done that."

Lawliet stopped eating and smiled seeing Syr was done with the act "Well Syr she just looked lonely. So I invited her."

Syr made a serious face "How do you know she is lonely?"

Lawliet grabbed another fork full of food and said "You can tell a lot by a persons soul."

Lawliet then went back to eating as Syr left.

An Hour later.

Lawliet had finally finished eating and was about to get the check from Ryuu when Death walked in. A lot people there stopped to stare. Death didn't pay it any mind and since she didn't neither did Lawliet.

She then sat at the bar right next to Lawliet. Death smiled "So what we eating?"

Lawliet shrugged "I just finished but I guess I could eat more."

Ryuu then looked over "Two of the same?"

Lawliet nodded then before he could say anything she went to get it. Lawliet sighed and Death asked "What was that about?"

Lawliet then let off another sigh "I saw how lonely her soul was. So I then asked her to join but then she just walked away."

Death shook her head "Just because you know how someone feels doesn't mean you know how they think. You are too young in your powers to be that good at predicting anyways."

Lawliet rolled his eyes "Whatever."

Death was about to continue but then Chloe yelled out from the front "The VIP guests are here!!"

Lawliet looked over and saw a loud mouth Loki waddle into the bar. Then it was her usual Familia Ais Wallenwhatsit, Riveria, Gareth, Finn, Tione, Tiona, Lefiya, and Bete.

Ais was your typical blonde blue eyed girl but was a total mixture of a Kuudere an a Dandere. Riveria was the Elf that started the whole elegant and regal looking stereotype. Gareth was your typical mans man as a dwarf. Finn was Pallum that honestly tried his best to keep his emotions in check and was usually successful Tione and Tiona are amazonian twins an one of the only ways to tell them apart is their breast size. Tiones are way bigger. Then there is the new one Lefiya who is also an elf but a total nice shy girl. Then finally Bete is a werewolf with anger issues. It is because of a tragic past but dudes got to grow up.

Lawliet and Death decided to ignore them. They then started to eat their food when Ryuu brought it over. Lawliet also took this chance to apologize.

Lawliet smiled "Excuse me?"

Ryuu just had a blank face "Yes?"

Lawliet then asked "What was your name?"

Ryuu kept the same face and said "Ryuu Lion."

Lawliet stood up and slightly bowed "Well Ryuu Lion I am Lawliet and I'm really sorry for earlier if I bothered you?"

Ryuu looked at him for a moment and gave a slight smile "It's fine bring your head up just been awhile since someone asked me that. I still don't plan on joining though."

Ryuu then started to walk away but then she turned back around and said "I accept your apology."

Ryuu then went back to work. Death then looked over at Lawliet and said "You like her don't you?"

Lawliet smiled "Well she is cute."

He then went to start eating. So did Death seeing that her teasing did not work. As they continue to eat over time the Loki Familia got louder and louder and even more drunk. Eventually at some point Bete yelled "Hey what's a loser like you doing with such a beautiful woman."

Lawliet could tell he was talking to him and Death asked "You want me to take care of it?"

Lawliet shook his head "I will if I have to."

Bete then repeated again but got closer "Hey you deaf or something. What's a loser like you doing with such a beautiful woman?!"

Lawliet sighed and stood up he mumbled to Death "No better time to test my powers."

Lawliet then started to think 'Should I possess him Poison him. What to do what to do.'

Lawliet then could hear Finn trying to calm Bete down. However Lawliet walked over until he was looking down on Bete a bit but eye to eye. Tiona then said "Oh shit this is going to be fun."

Lawliet sighed and pushed Bete a tiny bit "You should sit back down with your Familia before you talk about my Goddess anymore."

Bete then said "What's a loser like you going to do."

Lawliet smirked "Paralysis Breath."

A yellow haze of energy like smoke came out of Lawliets mouth (Think of the move Dragon Rage from Pokémon.) It hit Bete directly in the face. Bete then immediately fell to the floor unable to move. While Paralysis breath kept you Paralyzed you could still see and hear everything. You just could not move.

Loki's whole family either got ready to fight or were shocked by what happened. Lawliet before things got escalated farther then said "Hey Loki I know your not that drunk you want to tell your Familia to fuck off."

Loki's then looked around from her drink and said "Who the fuck—"

Loki then smirked "Oh it's you."

Loki then looked over and saw Death waving at her causing her to focus a bit. Loki then sighed "What did Bete do?"

Lawliet also sighed "Tried to pick a fight with me while my Goddess was around."

Loki deflated a bit she then looked at her Familia "Pick him up and sit him down. Start healing him or whatever leave Lawliet alone. You guys need to be friends anyways. His Familia and ours have a sort of contract."

Finn then asked "What are you talking about?"

Loki then said "I'll tell you later. That good enough Lawliet."

Lawliet shrugged "Yeah it's fine he was just pissing me off."

Lawliet then went back over to Death. Death paid the money to Ryuu and they both walked out leaving much of the bar shocked and wondering who the new guy and his Goddess was. Especially since they already have a contract with the Loki Familia.
