31 Ruby talks with Ares

Ruby fidgetted nervously in front of the big door.

Theo, Alex, and Jack, the group she was traveling with for a whole day and a half were on the other side, talking with GOD Ares.

Theo told her that she will be called into the room shortly after their report, so she has been standing in front of it and waiting for it to open.

Her hands nervously curled up into fists while grabbing the very simple and plain white summer dress that Theo bought her.

She wasn't a fan of dresses, but it was better than pajamas, so she didn't Complain.

Rakia was…Mystical? That's probably the right word to describe it, at least for her. Once she entered the kingdom, the first thing she noticed was the weird people.

'Wait, that sounds racist!' Ruby mentally scolded herself.

The "Interesting" people! …well it's a better word than the previous one, so let's go with that.

Ruby was more than 100% sure that she is not on Remnant, and the vast amount of different races that she never heard of confirmed it.

Not to mention the weird monsters that she saw when traveling with the trio of adventurers.

What she doesn't understand is…

'Why am I so calm?' She asked herself once again.

Normally the fact that you were transported from your home to a different world, never to see your family again is something that should devastate you. Crush you. Maybe even break you.

But Ruby felt this strange calmness. She acknowledged that her situation doesn't look good, that it's probably a lost cause, she isn't in denial or anything of the sort! But she just can't bring herself to be sad.

Not yet.

The large door opened.

A man wearing bronze armor who opened it looked at her and spoke.

"Lord Ares will speak to you now."

Ruby gulped and walked into the room.

She froze as she saw him. God Ares.

There was this…Aura of authority around him, it felt like it was washing over her, signaling to her subconscious that she is in the presence of something MORE than her and anyone else in this mortal world.

She swallowed once again and resumed her walk, stopping only around 10 feet away from his throne.

He looked young, with red hair and pale complexion, but his eyes were firm and had that mature look to them. He was dressed in simple armor with a couple of decorative accents to symbolize his status, with his helmet on the left armrest of his throne.

Unsure on how to act, Ruby decided to greet the God by plagiarizing the many fantasy medical movies she watched back home and tried to imitate the bow she saw people do when they greeted their king.

She did a horrible job at it.

Ares snorted in amusement.

Theo, Alex, and Jack who were now standing on her left near the walk of the room were snickering as they tried to hold in their laughter at the sight.

Ruby gained a truly atomic blush once she heard them.

"No need for that, child of ash. I don't care about such courtesies." God Ares, ruler of Rakia told her and leaned back into his throne.

"Child of ash?" Ruby repeated unsure as to why she was given this title.

"Indeed, of ash…" Ares mused and gazed at her for a little while before speaking again. "No wonder why you were not able to find your home even though you were given a map of the world…you are not from this universe are you?" Ruby held her breath as he said that.

The trio of adventurers listening to the conversation were confused, however.

'What the hell is a "universe"?' They all thought.

"Y-Yes! I'm from a world-"

"From a world of ash." Ares interrupted, not caring to elaborate why he called it that way. But that didn't matter, it was what he said after that made her mind go blank. "I cannot help you."

She felt as if the world stopped existing once she heard that.

Everything went so silent, even her own thoughts!

"Finding the world from which you hail from will be easy with your help, but after that, I would need to search your world's Multiverse in order to find the one from which you were taken away from." The only thing she understood from that is that she can't go home. "I would be able to find it sooner or later, but you would be most likely dead by that point."

"Ah." Ruby replied simply and felt something wet going down her face. She felt a pit in her stomach, her throat tighten, her heart stinging.

She understood now why she was able to be so calm earlier. Because this world had GODS, an existence that she can't even wrap her head around! Something so powerful and ridiculous in nature that allowed a flickering flame of hope to burn inside her.

But now, one of them told her that he can't help her…that flame was snuffed out in an instant…

"However-" Ares began and immediately grabbed her attention. "-My aunt notified me that she recently descended to the mortal realm and is residing in the city of Orario… One of her divine domains includes the concept of 'family', if you find her and ask for her help she will be able to help you. As long as you think of your old world as a 'home' then she will be able to find it."

Hope...It's a funny thing. It's weird how easy it is to lose it, and how hard it is for some people to regain it while others don't struggle nearly as much to be hopeful again.

That snuffed flame I mentioned earlier?

It became a raging inferno!

"I could not help you in finding your home as my daughter Theo asked of me, but I will help you by providing you armor and a weapon. I shall also give you rations and a detailed map that will help you in your journey to Orario." The God of War declared and raised his hand to silence the trio of adventurers that brought the young Rose to him "She will go alone, this is non-negotiable." He said with a tone of finality making the trio close their mouth and swallow their unasked request to aid Ruby.

"T-thank you!" Ruby said making the God nod and shoo her away together with the trio.

"So…" Ruby began as they were out of the throne room and walking to the armory where they will search for armor and weapon fitting for her. "You are the daughter of a God?" She asked Theo who just laughed.

"No, not biologically. While every God, most of them treat their familia members as sons and daughters." She informed the little Rose, making her let out a silent "oh".

"The second most popular treatment is a harem." Alex informed casually, making Ruby go crimson at the thought.

'No! Bad Ruby! Cease those thoughts immediately!' She scolded herself as her mind showed her some… "not safe for work" images.

—Meanwhile with Hestia (Bestia)—

The Goddess jerked her head to the side as she sneezed so she wouldn't "contaminate" the food.

Which is impossible because you can't catch any sickness from a sneeze when the sneeze doesn't contain any bacteria. Gods don't have those, they can't even gain it through contact with an object full of bacteria.

'Is someone talking about me?' Hestia thought and gave the baked potato to the customer. "Have a nice day!" She exclaimed happily and let out a sigh as she saw him disappear into the crowd.

Maybe choosing to sell food was not the best option as a form of income, everything that she makes, no matter how simple or plain, tastes delicious because of her divinity.

Everything she makes has this familiar aroma that you remember from a childhood memory and tastes like the cooking of a caring mother preparing food for her children.

Which is good!

Too good…

So many people come back every day… so many customers…so little potatoes…

She has to buy 3 bags of potatoes every day to satisfy the returning customers, not to mention the salt and butter.

She can barely be alone for half a minute before the next customer shows up and orders one of her potato goodness! And this means that a simple job of selling baked potatoes became quite exhausting.

"If only I had an adventurer child to help me gain money. I would be able to end work 3 or 4 hours early" She lamented and saw the next customer approaching.

—Back to Ruby—

Ruby sneezed.

'Is someone talking about me?' She thought.

—AND NOW! Some random stupid thoughts I had when thinking about ideas for this story—

~

Bell the demon fucker, conqueror of Lucifer queen of hell! (If you know what I mean *wink wink*)

~

~

Voluntary self explosion skill, because why the fuck not? Terrorist adventurers seems like something fun to write about, but I don't think this would be a good idea, especially since I wanted to make them the "Allah familia"...yeah, people would fucking tear me apart for that…

~

~

I almost made Kratos as the God of War in this fanfic.

~

~

Bell who activated the power of Florida man VS Hercules

~

~

Loki is too horny, she ties Bell to the bed and rides him so hard that the bed breaks.

~

A/n: I'm too horny….again…
