"40 points and half of it went into magic." Bell quickly summarizes as he looked at the piece of paper with his new stats.

"exelia is the experience of an adventurer, after all. If you focus on punching all the monsters to death instead of firing magic at them, the majority of the exelia would go to strength. Depending on if you would rather dodge or block, it would also go to either agility or Endurance." Loki explained and went to lay on the bed beside Bell. "Which brings up the question...why the hell is your attack and agility so high?" the smirk on her face told Bell that she already knew the answer.

"I may have killed some monsters with...my dagger"

"Oh? Are you aiming to be a martial mage? Or maybe a magic swordsman? No, you use a dagger, not a sword..." she tapped her index finger on her chin. "An arcane rouge?"

Magic swordsman...now that sounded interesting, it's a concept Bell liked in every work of fiction. A swordsman is obviously in good physical condition. A mage has the power of magic but is physically weak. Combine them and, BOOM! You have someone that is physically strong and can use magic!

But what was that about a martial mage? By the sound of the name alone, it would probably be someone who uses spells in combination with martial arts. Which, in all seriousness, sounds cool AF.

Imagine punching someone with a lightning-coated fist, or causing an explosion of flames with your kicks! 'Could I technically replicate some moves from comics or movies with that kind of fighting style?' the thought was very appealing. The image of doing the "twin blue dragon kick" from the God of Highschool was glorious.

"well, if you are aiming for a combination of physical combat and magical combat, then you will spend a LOOONG time leveling up." The goddess said as she made herself comfortable on the boy bed. "To be a successful magical fighter, you will need high numbers on all your stats."

"How high are we talking about?"

"Well what you lack in strength you could always compensate with magic, so for the strength stat I would say B, or C at the very minimum." Bell nodded, understanding the goddess reasoning. "Dexterity MUST be at an A or higher, after all this is the stat that increases your body control and reaction time, something that's very important for physical fighters." Once again, Bell nodded as he agreed with his Goddess. "and Defense...what fighter would you be if you can't take a hit? B or A, no exceptions."

Bell winced. His dexterity increased by 2... an entire day of killing monsters from the dungeon, and it increased only by 2 points... if he ever chooses to become a mix of a mage and physical combatant then he will need to think about how to raise that one. Also, figure out how to raise his Defense...just let himself get punched a lot???

"And finally, Defense and Agility! This one is a choice that depends on your way of fighting, but if you are more of a bouncy guy that would jump around the enemy and evade his attacks, then you would need a B in agility and a D in endurance." she concluded. "Or if you decide that you would rather block, then B in defense and D in agility." oh, no, wait. My mistake, sorry. NOW, she concluded.

"That is a lot of points." Bell stated the obvious. He is not gonna lie, the idea of a Martial mage was...nice to think about. But how long would it take to reach those requirements? And how much longer would it take compared to the end goal of reaching an F stats that Loki gave him??

Was spending all that extra time to gather more points worth it?

When he turned to Loki in order to ask one more question, he saw that she was gone, and in her place was the opened Necronomicon.

Taking it in his hands, Bell saw that the pages spoke about a way to take the power of something for yourself, which was an answer for his problem if not for the fact that this method would shorten his lifespan. The part where this is mentioned had a "figure it out Bun Bun." written beside it, and Bell had a suspicion that it was Loki that wrote it.

"Figure it out? All my knowledge about magic comes from Bone Daddy, how am I supposed to figure out how to change an eldritch ritual to my benefit!"

<the king of death is begging you to stop calling him that.>

"No."

He sighed. Loki gave showed him an answer to his problem, but that answer had a problem that needed another answer!

"Fuck it, I need to study tomorrow." the twilight manor had a library, and that library had books about magic. So maybe some of them had what he was searching for? Bell shrugged his shoulders, he will deal with that tomorrow, for now, he wanted to spin his lottery tickets!

After all, he still has today's lottery spin and 10 tier-2 spell tickets to use.

Summoning his daily spin, Bell used it and waited for the result.

In all honesty, he was not expecting anything good, the Necronomicon that he got yesterday was a stroke of ungodly luck, something that will probably not happen again in his lifetime.

{white mystery box.}

"Huh? What's that?" he wondered and watched as a small white box landed on the bed beside him, a small note attached to it.

"It contains one of your desires." Bell read out loud and raised an eyebrow. He had many desires, too much to count, you would need to invent new numbers to count them all. "Now that I think about it, could this box have a way to modify the ritual in the Necronomicon?" No, probably not. Sure, you could say that Bell desires this as he wants to get stronger fast, but that was just one possibility out of a billion.

Not seeing the point of overthinking what is in the box, Bell opened it and saw a flash of light jump out of it and slam into his head.

<the king of death is wondering if you are alright.>

"Yeah, yeah I'm alright." Bell waved away Ainz's worries. "More importantly." he started and watched as a blue spiraling sphere of energy floated above the palm of his left hand. "One of my weeb dreams has become a reality." after all, as a Naruto fan, his desire to use a Rasengan is almost equal to a DBZ fan using a Kamehameha.

The Rasengan was not actually made out of chakra, it was made out of his Mind Mana (MP), and he had no idea how that would change its destructive capabilities. Would this be equally strong as the original Rasengan or weaker? Would he dare to say that it could be more powerful than the original? Bell made a mental note to test it tomorrow in the dungeon.

"Alright now it's time for my spell tickets." Bell declared and smiled. "Spin all 10 Tier-2 lottery tickets!" five seconds later, he had the results.

{Shock Wave}

{Fire Bolt} (A/N: how can I make Bell a mage without giving him his signature spell?)

{Spark's}

{Magic hand}

{Lesser shield}

{Message}

{Silence}

{Temperature Change}

{Frost}

{Bless}

"Woah... I don't have to worry about heating my room anymore." Bell said mesmerized. "{Temperature Change}" with just that, Bell felt the room becoming hotter, stopping only when it reached the temperature he wanted. "Nice." was the only comment he had when he noticed the effect of the spell.

True, not all spells were combat-oriented, but Bell was satisfied nevertheless, so he decided to go to sleep and do something about the eldritch ritual tomorrow.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is absolutely, fucking, nothing! None, a complete void of information about rituals! Bell found the information needed to cast Fire magic, the information needed to use telekinesis, the information needed to make Monsters explode from the inside out, but absolutely nothing about rituals at all!!!

"Searching for something?" turning his head, Bell saw none other than the elven princess Riveria.

"I saw that you were walking around the magical section of the library for around an hour now, and keep getting more and more frustrated as time passed. So I decided to stop my reading to see and figure out if I can help."

'If she doesn't know anything, then I might as well give up.' Bell thought. After all, Riveria is someone who started learning magic from a very young age and never stopped to learn more of it if she had a chance. Combine that with the fact that she is 99 years old, and you have an elven mage with an almost encyclopedic knowledge about magic.

"I'm trying to find anything related to ritual magic."

When she heard that, Riveria made a face that Bell was not able to recognize. Not only that but he felt her eyes pierce through him as if she tried to enter his mind, to say it made him uncomfortable was an understatement.

"Bell, that magic was forgotten ages ago. All knowledge about it was burned into nothing." seeing the boy shocked face, she decided to explain. "People are greedy no matter what race they come from, and ritual magic allowed to gain power like no other...but at a cost." Riveria face twisted into a grimace. "A sacrifice was always needed, and there was a fair share of madmen who decided to sacrifice gods."

Stunned.

Bell was stunned. Absolutely flabbergasted, but the more he thought about it, the more sense it made. There was a fair share of twisted psychos in his world, so it's normal that there are some in this world as well. And what's worse, this is a world of magic! If such a versatile power as magic ever fell in the hands of such people...yeah. Okay, definitely possible for someone to get such an idea.

There is just one thing he does not understand.

"How were they able to sacrifice a god?" this time it was Riveria who was stunned at Bell question.

"wha- No, don't get me wrong, they tried, but failed. There is no possible way a mortal could kill a God, no matter what level they are." At her explanation, Bell made let out an "oh" of understanding.

"But some were clever enough to go after other people and monsters, and if records are to be believed, then some even succeeded in capturing spirits." there was a tinge of anger in Riveria voice. Bell was certain it was because of the shared history of the spirits and elves, but he didn't know the details to know just how deep those two race's history was intertwined.

(A/N: pls help me, if you know anything about the "spirits" of the Danmachi universe, please share your knowledge, all that the wiki say's is "SPIRIT: A category for the members of the Spirit race"....wow, that is a lot of info... I'm basically operating on knowledge from the anime and manga, and that's not much either.)

"So the magic was classified as illegal and all knowledge about it was burned?" Bell cursed mentally when Riveria gave a nod.

Would Loki give him an impossible task like this? she wrote "figure it out Bun Bun" so there must be a way, right? Did she just want to watch him pointlessly struggle? Who knows? She is a God, her mentality and view of things is not something a mortal can comprehend.

"Well, I guess I will-"

<the Magus of Flowers wants you to show him the magic of this world.>

...

'Holy shit, Merlin?? When did you get here???' Bell thought.

<The King of Death welcomes the new arrival and agrees with Merlin.>

"Bell? Is something wrong?" the elven princess asked worriedly as she saw Bell suddenly freeze. The Bunny boy snapped his head in her direction and looked her straight in the eye with such an intensity that made Riveria flinch back.

"Riveria, please teach me magic!" The white-haired boy declared, much to Riveria shock. Teach magic? But Bell already knows magic. Is he perhaps asking to teach him new spells? Well, not that she was against it, it's just that he asked this out of nowhere that made her short-circuit for a second.

"Well, I don't mind, but what spell do you want me to teach you?"

Bell shook his head.

"No, I want you to teach me the fundamentals of your magic. Mine works differently, but I realized it would be in my interest if I learn the magic that everyone else uses." Yes, indeed, learning new magic would be in Bell interest as it was a request from bone daddy, and the dick wizard extraordinaire! And Bell KNOWS that they can gift him lottery tickets about their magic, so why would he refuse to satisfy them?? After all, if your sugar daddy is satisfied, he pays handsomely ;)

Riveria's eyes widen ever so slightly at the mention of a completely new way of casting magic. Would it be possible for her to learn it? "I-I see...yes I would be happy to teach you, we can go take a seat and start from the basics, but if It's not too much to ask, would you be willing to share the knowledge about the magic you use?" she said and quickly added "of course you are free to refuse my offer, a mage knowledge is sacred to them. I will not force you to tell me anything you are not willing to share."

Bell just waved his hand in a "no worries" gesture.

"I don't mind, I'm not a greedy person." He smiled. "To be completely honest, I would share this information as payment to buy food, or some other stuff if I had the chance" As he said this, he failed to see Riveria's brow twitching. For a mage like her, the thought of sharing her magic knowledge so casually was something she cannot even begin to imagine.

"Then, shall we get started? Please wait for me on one of the tables of the library, I will join you shortly after I pick up the books that would be a good starting point for you."

As he walked to the tables, Bell whispered something with a grin on his face.

"Why make you read the books when you can have one of the most powerful mages in Danmachi giving you a lecture about magic." as he said that, Bell started to think if learning this world magic as well would benefit him. "Would I be able to combine tier magic and danmachi magic?" he thought out loud.

<The King of Death is interested in your idea.>

<the Magus of Flowers is wondering what "tier magic" is, and what are its fundamentals.>

"Well, listen carefully to both mine, and Riveria lessons, and you shall learn." Bell told both of his watchers and sat down on one of the chairs beside a random table in the library. He quickly noticed that there was a stack of empty papers on each table together with a maximum of 4 writing feathers with a container for ink. "Probably to make notes if needed" He figured out.

He thought for a moment and took a bunch of those papers for himself, together with the feather and ink. He then began to write the many runes from the tier magic spells, as well as writing their symbolism and meaning. After all, if he is going to teach Riveria then he is going to need to teach her properly, right? She decided to spent her own personal time teaching him the fundamentals of magic, even tho she is the vice-captain of the Loki familia! Naturally, with such a position she must not have much free time for herself, so the fact that she decided to spend it with him was saying a lot about her.

Bell would be damned if he would not pay her back for it! He shall use the full knowledge of tier magic, and describe it in the best way possible, so it would be clear to understand for her!

"Always pay back someone for a good deed, after all, they did it and expected nothing in return" a voice from his previous life sounded in his head. The memory of that idealistic goody two shoes moron brought a smile to Bell face.

"Expecting nothing in return? You idiot, people do good deeds and then guilt trip you into paying them back." despite the obvious scolding comment, Bell had a soft smile as he continued to fill up the pages.

"Sorry, to keep you waiting." the elven princess made herself known and placed 3 books on the desk. "Someone put the books in the wrong sectio-" for a moment, Riveria seemed to choke as she saw the papers filled with runes. "A-are those hieroglyphs?" her usual Stoic image was gone, replaced with the uncharacteristic shock visible on her face. Her voice was shaking for a reason Bell didn't know.

"Umm, the correct term would be runes."

Riveria almost fainted. She had to take a seat.

'what's that all abou- OH SHIT! Runes and Hieroglyphs are supposed to be something exclusive for gods, right??' Bell cursed his stupidity and luck, he had no idea how to explain this at all!

'Fuck.'
