Mamma Mia...
"focus..." She saw him breathe in, and breathe out. "Flames obey My call, burn my foes...{Fire Bolt}!" flames shot forward, they soared through the air leaving behind smoke and hot winds. Once the magical bolt of fire hit its target, it exploded. The explosion was far too powerful to be the result of a normal {Fire Bolt}, but still lacked the power needed to be considered a {Fire Ball}.
She felt...jealous. Just slightly jealous, this was still nothing compared to what she herself was capable of...so why does she feel jealous?? it makes no sense! why would she? so what if he is slightly more talented than her?
'stop, jealousy is unbecoming of you' she berated herself.
She checked if there are any wrinkles on her dress, any dirty spots. Nothing. Good.
"Cranel-san." she called out, grabbing the boy attention. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Lefiya Viridis. I'm sure Lady Riveria told you that I will be the one helping you study today, hadn't she?"
"umm...yeah." Bell was caught off guard by Lefiya formal way of speaking, he had no idea why she was so...elegant? Maybe it's an Elf thing.
Yesterday, when he came back to the Twilight Manor with the bags full of books and clothes, he had been approached by Riveria and was notified that she would be unable to teach him due to an unexpected occurrence...Bell bet 100 valis that it's probably because of Loki.
Even though he assured her that he understands and that she shouldn't worry about it, Riveria still persisted on making it work. Thus she told him that her other student, Lefiya, will take care of him tomorrow.
Bell now understood why Riveria was being called "Mamma" in the original story. The amount of care that she shows for him and the other members of her familia was almost like the care that a mother shows for her children. He even saw her on his way for dinner! She was having a spar with some adventures from the Loki familia yesterday! She looked absolutely exhausted from helping Finn with paperwork, and from the other paperwork that she had to surely fill out in the guild when she notified them of the Loki familia expedition that will soon happen. But she still chose to spare some time and help a party of her fellow familia members, guide them on how to properly use their teamwork and tell the mistakes in their fighting style!
Yup. Riveria is the best mom/big sister figure one could ask for.
oh, and also...That lass can use her staff like a kung-fu master...Bell was so amazed at the sight that he briefly wondered if he should learn some martial arts related to staff combat.
"I'm sorry to have troubled you Ms, Lefiya. I told Riveria that it was okay, but she insisted on making you tutor me for today" he bowed slightly to make his apology seem genuine.
He was already grateful that Riveria decided to help him study every 2 days despite her workload and other vice-captain activities. He had no problem with skipping some lessons, but the elven princess wouldn't budge on this.
Lefiya eyebrow twitched at Bell casual way of addressing the elven Princess but didn't voice her complaints. There is nothing she could do, everyone in their familia that is not an elf is already addressing her just by name...but that doesn't mean she has to like it!
"I assure you It is not a problem Cranel-san." she said. professional, and unwavering...was this truly Lefiya?? Bell had a different impression of her from the anime but he pushed his questions into the back of his mind. This is no longer an anime, he should not forget that.
"May you please inform me where you finished your previous lessons with Ms. Riveria?" whatever she expected...it was certainly not this.
"she finished explaining the basics to me, and left me with a couple of books that explained it with more detail."

'is this a joke?'
Basics? According to Riveria, Bell was able to destroy half of the training ground, and still be left with enough Mind to not show any symptoms of magic overuse. He was permitted to wander the 4th floor by himself...AND HE JUST LEARNED THE BASICS.
This is a joke. This must be a sick joke!
But his tone and body posture suggested he was speaking the truth.
The tinge of jealousy inside her grew.
"s-surely you must be joking?" her stoic and professional presence changed, her voice gained a hint of uncertainty.
Bell just awkwardly smiled at her.
"well, the magic system that I know is fundamentally different than the one you all use, and recently I decided to learn this one as well." The boy said, no lie being told...mainly because he was currently not capable of lying...

Lefiya recoiled. Literally recoiled, her mind seemed to have trouble processing this information. Bell on the other hand didn't understand why she reacted in such a way.
Riveria reacted with mild curiosity, but Lefiya looks like she is about to have her mind pull out a blue screen on her.
"I...I see" the elf started to speak once again. "this..." or at least she tried.
"if you want, you can just ask Riveria to let you read the notes I made for her." The boy offered and saw the elf look at him like he was an undiscovered animal. "Think of it as my payment for helping me study."
After hearing him say that, Lefiya realized something...Bell was an idiot. No self-respecting mage would use his knowledge of magic as payment for something so simple.
But the truth is...Bell simply held no value on his knowledge of Tier magic. In fact he decided to make it public once he gains more understanding on it! Why should he greedily keep his knowledge if he can share it and potentially give humanity and other humanoid races a boost?
The sheer amount of lives he could save by doing it...What kind of floor would adventurers be able to reach if they knew Tier Magic? How much would other mages be able to perfect it? The possibilities are endless.
But the problem with endless possibilities is the fact that there are endless bad possibilities as well. People will no doubt use that knowledge for bad things too.
'but it's still worth it...' Bell thought
people will never reach higher if they don't share knowledge...they will degrade! The medieval ages of his old world were the perfect example. The middle age just...almost stopped the progress of humanity. The people in the bronze age achieved a larger number of progress and achievements than the middle ages despite the fact that the middle ages lasted waaaaaayyyyy longer than the bronze age!
And you know why? Because the people from the middle ages collected knowledge and allowed only a small percentage of people to use it.
(A/N: all I wrote was the knowledge that my history teacher smashed into my head. According to him, the number of achievements that the bronze age had, far outnumbers the amount the middle ages had.
if this is wrong, don't blame me...blame the shitty education of modern schools...or my history teacher...or both.)
So yeah, Bell will publish Tier Magic in the future! ...but first, he needs to figure out a way to do this anonymously, he didn't want the spotlight at all! Unfortunately, the author had different plans for him.
"thank you Cranel-san, I will repay you someday." Lefiya said as she regained her composure and bowed to show her appreciation. This idiot said that this is his way of repaying her...but it was too much for her to take! Her pride would never allow her to simply take such an unfair exchange, even if she was the side gaining the most!
Pride is a weird thing indeed...
"It seems that we got a little distracted, let's begin our lesson." although Bell wanted to argue that she doesn't owe him anything, he also wanted to learn more about magic...so he didn't say anything "considering the basic chant for fire magic you utilized earlier, I assume you know the ones for other elements as well?" Bell nodded. The chant for other elements is almost exactly the same as the one he used for his {Fire Bolt}, the only changes being 1 or 2 words.
"what are the elements you can control?" Lefiya asked.
"Lightning, fire, and...frost? it's not ice, but is a wave of coldness." he said but suddenly added something more. "also acid, but even though it's a liquid the chant for water magic doesn't work."
Lefiya nodded. "your {Fire Bolt} was stronger than normal, almost as powerful as a {Fire Ball}. Do you know why that is?"
"it's probably because of the formula for my Tier magic to fire my spell."
'I'm definitely going to study your magic Cranel.' went unsaid by Lefiya when she heard him. But that's not important for now. Now she needs to tutor her Junior. After all, it was a request from Lady Riveria.

Bell felt exhausted.
Not physically, but mentally.
Lefiya was a good teacher, equal to Riveria in his opinion. And judging by the pop-up messages, Ainz and Merlin shared his opinion.

Yeah, they liked the lesson too. Not that he could blame them, Lefiya was a genius. She even helped him create a new spell!! Alright, not create, more like...use it differently than normal.
The {Hail of Flaming Arrows}. He needs to try it out on a monster as soon as possible! The only problem with the spell is that he has to stand still to cast it.
Danmachi magic is dangerous. When you cast a spell you need to control your magical energy, shape it alongside your chant. You fail? Well, if you do, then you better prepare yourself for your magic to explode in your face or mess up your insides.
It's also why he needs to be still when casting. Shaping your Mind mana, and moving at the same time is difficult. He can't concentrate when in motion, a problem he will have to fix in the near future. After all both Riveria and Ryuu we're able to move while casting at the same time, so it IS possible to do it...just difficult.
"ah, I'm here." The Hostess of Fertility. Bell felt bored so he decided to go check out the restaurant that the Loki familia likes so much. He knew about Syr, he knew it can possibly trigger something bad if Freya from this world is interested in him...but if the internet ever Taught him one thing, it was...

Bell opened the door and was immediately assaulted with the scent that he would associate with an Italian restaurant.
Oh! and he also saw Mia Grand and the maids of the restaurant beating up a bunch of customers, and heard something that was suspiciously similar to bones breaking apart.
Bell could not help it. The smell of the restaurant combined with this brutal scene made his words leave his mouth before he could even think.
"Mamma Mia..." he said with an Italian accent.
"huh? someone called me?" Mia Grand asked as she stopped beating up a man face into a pulp. "ah! a customer! please sit down and wait, we will be with you in a second!" Hearing the large woman, Bell nodded and made sure to pick a seat that was far away from the fight.
"Well, it's certainly lively in here."
