3 Chapter 3 familia life
Its been 6 months since I've joined the Hepheastus familia and I've settled into a routine. Wake up, forge, dungeon, forge, sleep, repeat. During the 6 months I've not really interacted much with anyone other than Hepheastus and Tsubaki which has given the impression that I'm some sort of reclusive genius to the other memebers of the familia.
Even though my level has been reported to the guild only the higher ups and the really powerful familias have the info and even less of them know what I look like so I can pass through the dungeon at my own pace. However my relationships with Tsubaki and Hepheastus are going rather well as moony has seemed to have claimed Tsubaki as her bestie as she basically comes round to play with her when she has nothing to do. Aside from Tsubaki she only allowed Hepheastus to touch her I think that's something to do with her being an alpha and thinking everone else is basically below her.
Over the past 6 months I've shown hepheastus a variety of materials from the system that don't exist in orario and credit to her being the goddess of smithing and her experience as one she's even managed to break a few down into a basic understanding what they are composed of, for example Netherite is an alloy of unknown dragon type fossils and a metal with similar properties to orchium with higher cmana conductivity.
Also over the past 6 months I've been regularly going down to fight Udaeus on the 37th floor to farm fragments of its black sword to try and alloy it with netherite to make an even better alloy. I finally succeeded in completing the alloy a month ago and just got the data back from Hepheastus last week with permission to use it on a wepon after her testing it so now I can forge a weapon out of it for myself.
The alloy that I call black netherite is going to be forged into a varient of a Kusarigama with a second sickle on the end instead of a weighted ball. The weapon will be enchanted with channeling, cleaving, the curse of binding, efficiency, fire aspect, knockback, looting, loyalty, sharpness and unbreaking. I've also planned to forge a katana for Tsubaki as a gift for her hitting Lv 4 which will be happening way earlier than it did in the anime.
Time skip 3 weeks
I never realised how much effort it would take to make cloth armor. I've just finished mine which looks like my get up currently looks like Ezio's armor when he fought in Constantinople (Assassins creed brotherhood), with enchantments for mending, protection (combination of projectile, blast and fire protection), unbreaking, resperation, aqua affinity, thorns, swift sneak, feather falling, strider (combination of depth and frost strider) and soul speed. I also finally managed to complete my varient kusarigama however there has been an unexpected development with the armor and kusarigama which is due to the amount of enchantments that have been placed upon them when used together they have seemed to have manifested a form of psudo intelligence meaning that they can both react and choose the optimal enchantments to use in any given situation.
The reason that ive been rushing so much to get this done ASAP is that Evilus hasn't spawned in the juggernaut to wipe out the Astraea famila yet and I want to see if I can save the Astraea familia from their unfortunate demise and stop Ryu being blacklisted from the guild.
So after keeping watch on the Evilus for the past 6 months and crafting my weapon and armor I requested a 2 month leave from the familia to explore the dungeon which Hepheastus graciously granted. And set off with moony into the dungeon.
