Lucius flew over the city again, it was already nighttime, and Orario was entering its busiest moment as Lucius found the Hostess of Fertility, approaching. He landed in front of the place while looking at the bar bustling at that moment.
He approached and entered. "Hello, Anya." Lucius greeted the demi-human at the entrance.
"Hm?! Lucius!" Anya Fromel was surprised by Lucius's entry.
Her shout drew the attention of most of the bar, the waitresses working looked at Lucius with a watchful look of mama mia from behind the counter. Meanwhile, the few tables already occupied, since the night was still beginning, looked at Lucius murmuring things he was already accustomed to, since he was quite famous in the city these days.
Lucius brushed aside the attention he received and started walking towards the counter. "Hello Mama Mia, how are things?" He asked, adjusting his mage cloak to sit in front of the woman.
She looked at him like a hawk, before crossing her arms and addressing him. "Depends, you're known for destroying things wherever you go, are you here to destroy my establishment?" She asked somewhat seriously.
Lucius couldn't help but smile at that question, wondering if this woman was serious or just joking with that face. "Well, will I get a discount if that doesn't happen?" He asked, keeping a smile.
She cracked a smile at that. "You want a discount? Of course not. I can give you a good beating if you want, this dwarf might be retired, but she can still take care of a troublemaking mage," said Mama Mia, keeping her smile.
Lucius laughed, not taking offense, after all, he knew this woman's personality and liked her. "Then I'll try to behave," he joked.
"So what do you want, I hope you're not here to chat with my waitresses, they need to work."
"Give me a bottle of whiskey and a glass with ice," Lucius ordered, and Mama Mia went to get a rather expensive one from the stock for a change.
"You've gotten yourself a fine nickname, Mage King... Who would have thought..." She commented, placing the bottle and glass on the table.
"Let's just say the gods did it as a favor," Lucius opened the bottle and filled his glass.
"Mage King... That's amazing!" Syr Flova approached Lucius. She looked at him a bit cautious and nodded.
"How's Bell? He hasn't come here much since the war game ended," she asked curiously.
"He's training the family, Hestia has greatly increased the family's power, and we're going to do a raid to increase our rank," Lucius commented more openly since Freya was more interested in Bell.
"That's incredible, I'm sure he's doing a great job," she said.
"Syr! Stop chatting and get back to work!" Mama Mia demanded, and she apologized and withdrew.
"So... Mage King... Why are you here?" The great dwarf looked at him, placing her towel on her shoulder.
"What, can't I want to go out for a drink anymore?" Lucius looked at her with an offended face.
"Tsk. Tell me another, you never come here even with your family, what brought you here today, my intuition says you're up to something," she looked at him.
Lucius sighed and faced her. "It's not that I want to cause trouble, but there's someone here I want to talk to," Lucius said and glanced at a certain elf serving tables on the other side.
Mama Mia followed his gaze and returned to Lucius with a confused sparkle in her eye. "How much does she owe you, I want to pay off all the debt she has with you," Lucius commented.
"You know who she is, even if you pay off the debt, she's wanted," Mama Mia commented.
"Not after this." Lucius took out a scroll from his dimensional space and handed it to Mama Mia, who read it on the spot.
"This... you've achieved something big, I admit... 10 million pays off her debt, but it's not me you have to convince," Mama Mia spoke after reading the agreement Lucius made with Ouranos. If Mama Mia said she was unhappy with this, she would be lying, it was an opportunity for Ryuu to clear her name and even join the Hestia family, it would be a loss for Mama Mia, but she knew the elf's place was not there.
"I understand, I'll talk to her..." Lucius murmured, but he was a bit cautious, he had never properly spoken with that elf, it would be the first time he would do something like this, and he was sure it would be awkward.
He continued drinking at the counter and ended up finding in Mama Mia his conversation partner for the night, the waitress catwomen who found Lucius attractive just watched him, since they couldn't approach him with Mama Mia right in front of him.
He ended up laughing quite a bit with the dwarf as the place filled up and many commented about the Mage King being there. "You really are famous, even brought more customers to my establishment, you should come here more often," she commented with a satisfied small smile to the crowded pub.
"Depends, will I get a discount?" Lucius insisted.
"Of course not." She was always firm.
"You're not very flexible, are you..." Lucius murmured.
"You bet..." She laughed.
At one moment, Lucius saw Ryuu taking out the trash outside the Pub and settled his tab with the dwarf and said goodbye, without notice, he simply disappeared from the place, making everyone sigh. "This kid always has his tricks..." Mama commented to the empty chair.
Lucius appeared outside and went over to where Ryuu was organizing the trash.
"What do you want?" She turned to Lucius, sensing his presence approaching.
"Hello. I need to talk to you," he spoke calmly as she remained silent, Lucius sighed and threw the scroll to her, which she caught easily.
"This?!" She was stunned by the content.
"You see, you can clear your name and take revenge on Evilus, how about joining me?" Lucius asked.
"What's the price?" She gave him a sharp look.
"You must join the Hestia family after we eliminate Evilus," Lucius commented.
"I can't, I have a..." Ryuu was speaking, but was interrupted.
"Debt? Yes, I just spoke with Mama Mia, I offered to pay off your debt," Lucius declared before she could finish speaking.
"..." She looked at him for a while. "Why are you doing this? We hardly know each other or talk much," she asked the obvious.
"Because I know of your past, how your family was destroyed, and you have potential, you become a member of the Hestia family and your name is cleared along with your revenge being made," Lucius was honest.
"... I still can't..." She commented.
"Well, this is my offer, if you want to join me, I'm going to hunt down the rest of Evilus and would like you to think about it. Come look for me if you change your mind," Lucius commented, before Ryuu could respond, Lucius took off and ascended into the sky.
Ryuu just watched him in silence... She stood still for a while with the scroll that said if they eliminate Evilus with proof of their activities, she would be forgiven by the guild.
"Any problem Ryuu?" Syr appeared outside the pub.
"It's nothing..." She said while not taking her eyes off the sky holding the scroll in her hands, before returning to the Pub.
Lucius returned to Hestia's home and decided to rest for the remainder of the night. "I've been away from the dungeon for many days, maybe I should take a dive tomorrow..." Lucius commented while asleep.
However, his day did not go as planned, the news that Ares was approaching Orario with a large army was announced, and the Freya family was called to face him, however, a guild employee also arrived at the old mansion of Apollo, and Lucius was summoned to also participate in the defense of the city.
"What a drag... I remember Freya had an easy victory in the original, why do they want me along in the city defense..." Lucius murmured looking at the letter delivered by the guild employee.
"You've been summoned to fight, Mr. Lucius?!" Bell exclaimed excitedly.
"Yes, but I don't think my presence would be of much use," Lucius commented.
"Of course, it is, you're one of the most powerful adventurers in Orario!" Haruhime exclaimed excitedly while no one disagreed.
Everyone was gathered in the living room, Lucius turned to everyone and nodded.
"Please, make sure to give that god a good beating, I'll do anything you ask if that happens," Welf suddenly spoke with venom in his voice. He fled from the western country and took refuge in Orario thanks to Ares wanting him to reproduce the Crozzo magic swords, and even the goddess who helped him escape was sent back to heaven as punishment.
Everyone was surprised by this, except for Lucius. "Alright, I plan on teaching him a lesson," he declared in the end, but his gaze turned to Cassandra.
"Cassandra, why are you still hiding visions?" Lucius asked calmly.
"What do you mean...?" She asked cautiously.
"Are you saying you didn't dream that Bell would be captured?" He looked at her seriously.
"I..." She seemed cautious.
"She warned..." Lili suddenly spoke. "But I didn't believe her..." She admitted, and Lucius sighed while many were surprised by this information.
"What did I say about Cassandra's visions..." Lucius spoke not just to Lili, but to everyone, "All her dreams must be taken seriously, do you understand." He looked at each, somewhat angry that some still seemed not to believe, even though he said they should pay attention to the girl's dreams.
"Lucius-San..." Cassandra found an opportunity to speak.
"Go on..." Lucius encouraged her to continue.
"I had a... bad dream..." She mentioned, and this made everyone pay attention to her.
"Continue."
"I dreamed that Hestia will be captured by Ares!" She said.
"I'm going to be captured?!" Hestia exclaimed, alarmed.
"You heard, I want you to protect Hestia and not take your eyes off her," Lucius announced and began to stand up. But before leaving, he turned his attention to Cassandra again. "You can no longer let any information like this pass, if any fool here doesn't believe, come to me or tell someone who might believe you." Lucius was somewhat angry and left, while Lili had to lower her head with a sense of guilt, as Bell's kidnapping could have been avoided.
Now he had a war to fight outside the walls of Orario.
