IT HAS BEEN TWO DAYS SINCE WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED of my step father's death.

When it was my turn to say something about him, I wanted to say how horrible he was.

But all I said was, may his soul rest in peace and may the Lord forgive him.

He didn't believe in God and now he has to stand alone infront of him.

I also didn't believe for a while but then I had an encounter with him.

He has made my life colorful.

Well I still have some things I need to get over.

"Can we go to a coffee shop?" He asks and I just nod.

I walk beside him slowly but we are just sitting in silence.

"My heart is not working." I say to him.

"Why do you say that?"

"I haven't cried, I don't know why I haven't cried yet. Am I that heartless? He has hurt me so much in ways I can't explain. " I say to  him and express my feelings over a cup of coffee.

But I don't tell him about the scars or the beating.
