The moment he walked into the reception room, Anson immediately noticed something was off. When he got closer, he pinpointed the smell and suddenly asked,

"Did you smoke?"

"Do you have the nose of a dog?"

Anson shrugged helplessly. It wasn't an unpleasant smell, a faint mix of lavender and smoke, but after a week of getting along, Anson had already become used to the mild scent that Selwynn gave off, and it was easy to detect when something was different.
