What it Truly means to be Family Pt.3

Decided to add Danganronpa in the title to hopefully get more views on this story, I'm feeling a bit sad with such low readership when other stories with this many chapters from other writers have 2 to 3 times the views even with my other works….

"Scarred Katakuri? What are you talking about?" He said as he looks at Katakuri as he rubs his head to lessen the pain a bit.

"Well then, who was the one who told him he should hide his face because of how his mouth looks like?" I say as I squint my eyes at him.

"Wha-?! I Uh…. Well…. Um…." He says getting flustered for getting called out for something he definitely said and it was still recent enough that he remembered saying that.

"Sure I know he brushed it off when you said that, but not even a day later, those kids hurt Brûlée and that you told him that it was his fault that she got targeted because he was fighting them off all the time, so…." I said before I walked away from him and looked at Katakuri who now was looking down at the ground as he clenched his fists.

"He thought, 'Then all I have to do is become stronger, never show weakness and become the best big brother that can go out of his way to protect everyone without fear of them getting hurt ever again.'" I say his exact thoughts he thought on that day which visibly shook him when he heard what I said before he looks up at me.

"How do I know? Let's just say I have a good read on people and I had a pretty good guess of what you thought on that day, the day you put on this scarf and began to close yourself off from your family and everyone around you, to put on a strong front to protect everyone no matter what." I say as I put my hand on his shoulder as he lowers his head and doesn't say anything.

"Katakuri…." Perospero hears this and feels bad as when he said that he meant it more as a joke and wasn't that serious as they would both make fun of each others looks from time to time.

But with his joking remarks along with Brûlée's injury thanks to Katakuri fighting those kids off it made him begin to close himself off and need to put up a strong front before all of his family members, not even wanting to reveal his mouth as he felt shame from it.

It's just like him, he feels self conscious when people make fun of his oversized tongue, but it allows him to enjoy eating candy easier so it doesn't effect him as heavily, but it still makes him self conscious of his looks.

Thinking all of this over, Perospero walked up to Katakuri while scratching the back of his head, "Katakuri, what I said back then, I-I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said all those things to you, and you shouldn't bare the burden of being the only older brother who goes out of your way to protect our younger siblings from here on out you know!" Perospero says as he gains his confidence as he clenches his fist as he won't let Katakuri bare this burden alone.

"…. Thanks, it means…. A lot to hear that…." He says as he grabs his scarf and finally lowers it off his face as he smiles for the first time in awhile.

I smile at this development before I put the hat back on Perospero's head, "Alright to celebrate Brûlée's wound being healed and Katakuri getting better I'm going to open a place you and your siblings growing up can go and have fun at." I say with a grin and turn back as I begin to head back the way I came.

"A fun place? But Mama's islands already have anything we need if we want to go have fun." Oven decided to chime in as after all with the 30+ islands and each one having a different food associated with it, I was like a dream come true for any kid that lived here.

"Well you have all the food and sweets in the world you can enjoy in your Mama's Lands, but is their an island that is solely for fun and play?" I ask with a grin as I see the confused looks on all of their faces.

"No right? So I'm going to build a Games Land, here on Whole Cake Island!" I exclaimed as this would be a gift from me to all of the Charlotte siblings, the current and the yet to be born ones.

I could see the sparkle in their eyes, these kids were indeed interested in this Games Land that I would make for them to all enjoy and play in.

"But first let's go tell your mother, hopefully she will have a place open on the island where I can build it at." I say as we get closer to Sweets city and soon heading towards Whole Cake Castle.

"Mama Mama! So you want to make something fun here for my kids to play at while their on WholeCake?" Says after wiping her mouth from finishing her own personal cake.

"That's right, so I was hoping you still had some open land on the island so I can set it up of course, oh and I almost forgot, I healed up Brûlée's scar so her face isn't disfigured anymore." I say before remembering to mention curing Brûlée, I was by myself at this point.

"Oh? Well that was a nice thing for you to do for my child Big Brother! But sure, I do have a patch of empty land right now that's available, it's to the Northeast of here, you can't miss it, you can use that land however you want!" She said with a smile as she was happy her child wasn't disfigured anymore, it at least means she still has use in marrying off to someone in the future to strengthen her family even more.

"Well thank you LinLin, I'll head their and begin building immediately, I'll see you tomorrow for the party then." I said with a smile as I headed off to go create my own Games Land for the kids.

Soon enough I had left and LinLin was by herself, snacking on candy, luckily to that tiny piece of Pure Gold she consumed over a decade ago, her bodies aging had stopped at 18, and she will always keep her beautiful figure for the rest of her life which she was grateful for most of all as she knows how she looked like as a kid before she became a teenager and had no doubt her body would become massive once again with time.

"Mama mama, Big Brother Hifumi is always so nice to me, he even treats my kids with kindness as well, he would make for a good father…. No no, he would probably come to hate me if I forced him to marry me and I'll lose out on so many future gifts if I just discard him like all of the other men in my life." She says as she shakes her head, throwing those thoughts away as it was detrimental to her future growth if she did that to him.

"No, let's have him marry one of my daughters, time doesn't mean much to him, he said himself that it had only been 6 months in his time since he saw me when I was a child, so let's wait a few more decades, have more kids, and see who is suitable to be one of his wives." She said as she threw some more candy into her mouth before chewing and swallowing it.

"After all a great man like Big Brother deserves multiple wives for all the things he's done for my family, hmmm…. I wonder if I should make it more than two…." She mumbled to herself as she was lost in thought as she enjoyed her candy.

But who knows what the future will hold so it's best to wait until the time is right to ultimately make that decision.
