Visit From The Devil

Alex carried Ava back to his hut and carefully placed her on the bed. Ava woke up fem minutes later.

"I think you just wanted me to carry you." Alex joked, but Ava was still traumatized by the shock she had.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that ordeal cause of me." Alex apologized.

"It's... I'm... I'll be fine." Ava stuttered, still shaking in fright.

"Are you sure you'll be fine? Should I get Zyve to come check up on you?" Alex inquired worriedly.

"I'm fine. It's... I'm just... I could have died." Ava chuckled.

"I should beat the hell out of Griffin for risking your life."

"Well, at least it worked, didn't it?" Ava replied with a huge smile on her face even though her heart was still racing really fast.

"You should have some rest." Alex said, gently pushing her to lay back on the bed.

"And where will you sleep? The bed's not that large." Ava wondered.
