36 Household Cats, Level Stages.

Smiling widely upon reading the description of the items, Leo immediately wears the green necklace to his neck.

With a silver chain connected to the seeming drop of green vitality in the center of the necklace, Leo happily fidgets it with his finger.

Hmmm... I didn't expect that I would get this item in exchange for some common and uncommon skill scroll...

It's really good to chea... to trade with children.

Shaking his head with a weak smile, Leo closed his eyes to rest, restoring his vitality for an amount every 2 minutes.

Soon, another 3 hours silently passed by.

Feeling that someone was shaking him slightly, Leo groaned reluctantly before unhurriedly opening his eyes only to see Roy beside him.

Did I sleep? I didn't notice that I would fall asleep...

Leo silently thought, he didn't expect that the "Extraction" skill would be much more mentally consuming than he expected, causing him to fall into deep sleep without him noticing. Fortunately, nothing bad happened when he was sleeping.

Stretching his body in satisfaction, Leo patted the head of the child beside him as he approached the group in the distance.

With the addition of him and Roy, the total number of the people in group increased from the original 8 to 10.

With the robust man who was holding a heavy shield was the strongest, reaching foundation level 18, almost reaching the perfected peak of the foundation level while the weakest was level 19 which is him, Leo.

In the past few days of interaction with the group, Leo learned quite a few things regarding the hierarchy of powers in terms of levels.

Currently, there are a total of 4 known stages to the path of immortality (also known as Life stages) in the town and the nearby settlements...

Respectively the Mortal Levels, Foundation Levels, Core Formation Levels, and Nascent Soul Levels.

In addition to that, every Level Stage/Life Stage is divided into four categories, known as Early stage (Level 1-5), Middle stage (Level 6-10), Late stage (Level 11-15), and Peak stage (Level 16-20).

With him as level 19, Leo's stage could be considered as at the Peak of the Mortal realm, only a step away from the early stage of the Foundation realm.

If he manages to increase his level to 20 then Leo will be able to initiate advancing, causing his strength to be greatly strengthened and at the same time he will be able to gain cultivation techniques suitable for him after sacrificing items and skills that he didn't need to the system.

As for how could that happen or why it's necessary, the group has no idea regarding of that. However, good enough, the cultivation technique they get could increase their exp and levels after accumulation and after practicing the skill.

Thinking of it deeply, Leo now notices the usefulness of the cultivation technique and the problem regarding with killing monsters to gain exp to advance.

First of all, the higher the level of the person, the higher the exp they require to advance to the next level.

Although Leo was only currently at level 19 in the Mortal Realm, in able to increase his level he needed to accumulate/gain almost 2,000 exp to advance... Not only that, killing zombies below his level would inexplicably lessen the exp he will gain!

Second and the last possibility he notices is that after a person reaches a terrifyingly high level, where he could find an enemy to increase his exp?

"Even if someone manages to find an enemy at a higher level, who could say that he/she will be able to kill the other party?"

Shaking his head to dump the unnecessary thoughts inside his head, Leo approaches the group in the distance, nodding to them slightly in the form of greeting.

"Five minutes to prepare, after that we will continue our journey." The robust man said to Leo as he took out one of the water bottles in his inventory before tossing it to Leo.

Nodding toward Mr. Roland, Leo hid the bottle in his inventory waiting for the 5 minutes to pass by.

Soon, after waiting for a while, a man holding an exquisite wooden bow approached the group from the distance.

"Jake, did you find anything?" Rosa asked instinctively as she took a small bite from the bread in her hand.

Jake, sighing deeply, heavily nodded his head before coughing to catch the attention of the group.

"Household cats, 15 in number, fortunately, most of them only reach early of foundation stage while a few of them reach mid of foundation stage..."

Hearing those words, the group's expression instantly turned dark but instantly turned back to normal when they didn't hear the presence of the late-peak stage of the foundation realm beast present on the enemy's side.

"Household cat?" Leo asks Kristine beside him in confusion.

Turning her head toward Leo, Kristine explained with a serious expression.

"It's the normal household cats before the apocalypse but they suddenly transformed, becoming much more smarter and dangerous in the apocalypse...

"Unlike zombies, household cats know how to think with intelligence comparable to a 10-year-old child... Other than that, they are also swift and flexible, if you're not on guard you might die without knowing why."

Hearing the explanation, Leo couldn't help but remember the foundation level 5 household cat that he met in the fast( Chapter 12 ).

With how fast its speed on attacking the foundation zombie back then, Leo admitted how scary they were compared to a zombie.

After seeing the serious expression of Leo, Kristine beside him couldn't help but release a soft giggle before saying to Leo.

"Hehehe, don't worry even if there are 20 of them, without having a high-level foundation beast they wouldn't be able to touch our clothes."

Surprised, Leo couldn't help but to ask, "Why?"

"Because of Mr. Roland," She smiled slightly as she secretly pointed toward the robust man in the group.

Seeing the mischievous side of the teenager, the group smiled weakly as Mr. Roland stared at Kristine sternly causing the teenager to hide behind his brother before acting like she didn't see anything.

Sigh...

Seeing this, Leo's lips curved up slightly, as his nervousness lessened considerably.

With a curious gaze, Leo glances toward the robust man.
