Grandma Angry!

"Miss... we've arrived." The driver's voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

She looked out the window; the taxi stopped right in front of Grandma's house. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. "Thank you very much, sir. Have a nice day." She paid the taxi fare and got off the taxi.

As she got out of the taxi, she was slightly surprised to see Grandma standing near the gate, waiting for her.

"G-grandma!" Mel said in a mixed tone between fear and regret.

"Follow me!" Grandma turned around, then walked towards the house.

Mel froze, but only for a fraction of a second. With heavy steps, she follows Grandma. Her mouth felt too stiff to say something; Mel was afraid to see Grandma's face now; she looks so angry.

'Is she furious?' she thought.

"Have a seat...." immediately followed by "Now, please Explain!", Said Grandma, in a firm tone. Grandma was then sat on the sofa and holding her teacup. Her eyes occasionally glanced at Mel, who was still standing, with her head down.

"G-grandma, you have to trust your beloved granddaughter, okay." She coaxed Grandma with her spoiled voice; she adds " As I said earlier. Yesterday, after I finished lunch with my best friend, I went to my car parked near the restaurant, but I suddenly passed out on the road before I got to the car. Fortunately, someone helped me..." Mel told her the whole story.

Grandma listened in silence, her eyes staring intently at Mel.

Mel looked nervous, she still gathering her guts to meet grandma's gaze.

In a sad voice, she said, "G-grandma, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to upset you like this. I promise this incident won't happen again. I Promise!" She raised her hand and making a peace symbol, V. Her head was still down, looking at her toes.

When she heard her beloved granddaughter passed out in the middle of the road, she was so scared. Her husband and children left her first. Now, her family is only Mel. She couldn't imagine that something terrible would happen to her granddaughter.

Even though her granddaughter is too spoiled and sometimes makes her angry, she still couldn't bear to punish her. After all, this incident wasn't something she intended but an accident. She understood.

After a while, Mel heard Grandma's soft voice calling her, "Come, dear, come closer."

Mel slowly raised her head and looked directly into Grandma's eyes. Instantly she felt relieved because her graceful and lovely Grandma finally wind down. She immediately walked closer to her.

Grandma checked Mel's body carefully, worried that there would be injuries on her body. Before long, Grandma looked relieved after she didn't find anything serious. "Have you had any breakfast before coming here?"

Since yesterday afternoon, she hasn't eaten anything. Because before she could eat with her friends, she left the restaurant. Now, when Grandma asked, she immediately felt hungry.

Instantly she shook her head. "Not yet! Grandma, I'm so hungry." Mel looked at Grandma pitifully. In her heart, she was busy praying, hope Grandma doesn't punish her.

"Go upstairs to clean yourself. Then, come down to the dining room for breakfast."

Mel blinks; she couldn't believe what she heard.

'Mm...! Just like that? no punishment?' She held back her smile.

"Go!" Grandma patted Mel's shoulder gently.

"Thank you, Grandma," Mel said while bowing 90 degrees to Grandma. Then, she dashed to the second floor as if a dozen zombies were chasing her.

"Slow down." She faintly heard Grandma's voice, but she kept running fast, afraid Grandma would change her mind and punish her.

Mel arrived at the guest room on the second floor. This temporary room she used before her bedroom on the third floor finished. Currently, her friend from country M is working on her room renovation.

She entered the room and closed the door quickly. She leaned against the door, panting heavily. "Thank you, God, for giving me a kind and lovely grandmother! Finally, I survived."

After calming down, she threw herself onto the sofa in the corner of the room, checking her cell phone. Mel saw many unread chats in the group chat 'Play Hard & Eat hard.'

She immediately checked and her heartfelt warmth after reading her best friend's chats. They were all worried about her because Yesterday she suddenly left the restaurant with a pale face.

Mel scrolled to read the latest chat.

[AnnaCuteFromBirth] Mel... where are you? Are you alright? Please respond!! (crying icon)

[Windy] Typing...

[Windy] Mel, I'll call Grandma if you haven't responded to us until 10 am

Mel speechless.

[FakePrinceHarry] Guys, shall we go to Boss house?

[FakePrinceHarry] I'm afraid something happened to her.

[Samy] I agree with @Fake Prince Harry

[AnnaCuteFromBirth] I agree!

[AnnaCuteFromBirth] Guys, try calling Hiro. Maybe he knows?

[AnnaCuteFromBirth] Young lady!! Yesterday, what's wrong with you? Why didn't you respond to our calls and chat until just now?

[FakePrinceHarry] @MT Yesterday, I almost went to the police station to file a missing person report. (icon lol)

Mel laughed amusedly; she could imagine Harry being over-reacting.

[Windy] typing...

[Windy] Right! If I hadn't threatened him, he would have gone to the police station.

[Sammy] What's wrong, Boss?

Mel didn't tell them she just checked out from the hospital; she doesn't want her friends to worry anymore.

[MT] Yesterday, I was exhausted, and my body felt ill. I sleep at home all day and just woke up this morning—sorry guys, for making you worry.

[Windy] typing...

[Windy] It's okay, Mel, the important thing is you are alright now.

[Sammy] Today, how about we have dinner together?

[Fake Prince Harry] Yes... let's go; I'll pay!

[MT] Sorry guys, not today. How about next weekend?

And they all agree to meet up again in Double Six Club next weekend.
