Contract Sign

The following day, Mel wakes from her beauty sleep. She didn't wake up right away; she was slacking off under her warm blanket.

Her eyes fixed on the window, from the gap of the slightly open curtain she could see outside, the city dominated by white. It looks like it's been snowing all night.

Mel enjoys the atmosphere of the room, which feels very peaceful. There was no noise from outside; she could only hear the ticking of the clock on the table beside the bed.

She glanced at the clock; it was already 9 in the morning. She was a little surprised, being able to sleep this long.

Mel immediately got out of her blanket, walking towards the window. She opened the curtains wider. After she opened the curtains wide, very bright sunlight came in and illuminated the room.

She stood in front of the large glass window; as far as her eyes could see, she saw the roofs of houses and trees covered in snow. The scenery in front of her eyes was beautiful; it was like she was in a fairy tale.

Instantly the happy memory of her childhood before a fateful accident took her mother's life flashed through her mind. In the past, she used to like winter.

She likes playing in the snow with her mother and friends. If Little Mel had to choose where to go on vacation? Indeed, she would choose a country with a long winter.

Mel couldn't help but chuckle remembering those times.

She turned her gaze to the street. The streets were deserted, only a few cars have seen passing. It looks like the residents of K city are still on their bed, hesitate to start today's activities, just like her.

She was in a good mood because last night, she slept soundly without dreaming. Even though her feeling was gloomy the previous night, she had spilled out and shared so much sadness with Aunty Bella. So, this morning she woke up in a delightful state.

Last night Aunt Bella also agreed to return to J city with her.

At first, Aunty Bella was afraid to return because Vivian threatened her not to set foot in the city J again. If she dares to return, she will spread her scandal all over the news and social media. Vivian also made sure that Bella couldn't get a job from all the companies in the city.

When Mel heard all that, she was furious. She has promised Aunty Bella to clear Aunty Bella's name and give her a job that matches her skills. She has discussed it with Hiro; they will set up an entertainment company where Aunty Bella could work when they returned to J city.

Suddenly the doorbell rang.

She glanced at the door but didn't move from her place. "Max, who is it?"

"Mr. Hiro, Boss!"

Finally, she moved from where she stood still, walking towards the door.

With an annoyed look, she opens the door. "Why did you come so early?"

Hiro dressed neatly, in all black casual clothes, he also wears a dark gray trench coat, he looked very fresh.

Huh?! Why was she so angry this morning? "B-boss? You're kidding, right? It's almost lunchtime!" He rolls his eyes.

Mel ignores him; she went back into the room, leaving Hiro standing alone in front of the door.

"Boss, this afternoon, we have a lunch appointment with Aunty Bella; why haven't you ready yet?" Mel hears Hiro shouting. But she didn't answer. She just walked into the bedroom and closed the door.

Why is she suddenly in a bad mood? Is she on her period? Hiro could only guess carelessly. He shook his head slowly and sat on the sofa while turning on the TV, patiently waiting for the Boss.

Mel and Hiro left the hotel room just before lunchtime. They rush to the restaurant in the hotel, the same restaurant where they met Aunty Bella last night.

Today Mel will sign a work contract with Aunt Bella. She will move to city J next week after she closed some of her business in this city.

"Aunty Bella, how are you today?" As soon as Aunt Bella entered the room, Mel greeted her cheerfully. She saw her eyes were still puffy from crying too much, but that didn't diminish her beauty.

"Little Mel, I've never been better." Aunty Bella smile back at Mel then sat and handed her a blue folder.

"What is this?" Mel opened the folder.

"That's information about your mother's assets under a pseudonym; this is just a copy. The real document is in the safe deposit box."

When Mel saw all the information in the folder, her heart immediately felt warm; her hands trembled as she read page after page. Her mother had prepared everything for her all this time. She inherits company stock and villas in town J. Also, there are few commercial buildings in other cities and savings in a Swiss bank.

How could her mother prepare all of this? Had mom foreseen she would be in jeopardy and would probably die? Instantly Mel's head felt dizzy.

Slowly she lifted her head and saw Aunt Bella in front; she said, "A-aunty Bella.... this? why did mom do this?" If she had not met Aunt Bella, she would never have known that her mother left this much treasure behind.

"I don't know the reason. But, what I remember, your mom prepared everything several months before her divorce."

Right now, Mel couldn't think straight; she closed the folder and gave it to Hiro. "Keep this for me." Hiro immediately took it. Mel continues, "and... hand me the contract you prepared last night."

Mel handed the brown folder to Aunt Bella. She gave the work contract as a form of gratitude because Aunt Bella had sacrificed everything for her and her mother.

From now on, she will continue her mother's legacy to take care of Aunt Bella. Mel smiled silently; she knew her mother in heaven would be proud of her.

Today Mel and Hiro decided to return to J city immediately; they left the hotel towards the train station in the late afternoon.

They have so much work to be done quickly, including setting up a place to live for Aunty Bella. Mel decided to give her a house located not far from the MT Group building. Also, they will be busy establishing a new company, an entertainment company where Aunt Bella will be the Director.
