Dairies of a lost soul; Beyond Boundaries.

This was originally a delicious box of old scrap personal diaries that follow a stranger. Although as the further into the books I became, I had the urge in seeking the rest of it. Given this was a time of machines. I had my luck in finding the right souls. A sort of system has scanned, registered and submitted all data into some hidden storage database. Apparently 'any alterations were consult with administrator. All data from corresponding subjects was included among the scanned records, sometimes blended into the narrative. Makes for easier storage and reading flow.' I wasn't the only one who fell into the reading then. ___________________________________ Real Author (Kittah): This story is not a typical female lead novel, not a lot of romance but coping in a post apocalypse. Which I don't get why female lead novels have to have a element of romance. It starts out as a diary should but further on, things change. The world around was the one we know of now but this story is later set in the unknown future. At times it can feel like I am trying to write a horror novel, but that's not what it is. This really is just a bumpy journey of a female character. I must rewrite my disclaimer which is the author note of chapter one. This seems like it relevant to today with the global pandemic. However the inspiration is my personal experience during the swine flu outbreak in the UK around 2012 or 2013. The majority of this story is prewritten but I have been changing it since putting it online. And, yes story does spill over into the author notes. You will understand in the later chapters. It's a writer's choose. May the odds be in your favor.

"Right, for those pretending. You're more then welcome to wake now." I for one have been wanting to stretch hours ago. Off the chair, break the crate and stretch. A good crackle along my spine. I sigh in relief of being stuck that way.

"So, here's a suit she recommended." Mr Mulberry being all to kind to cater to me.

"What a gentleman?" I purred with putting it over my current clothing, "Can I walk as I like?"

"Totally." A last shake off of adjusting joints to all fours. Maybe another stretch again with my hip. Fluffy a little fur and trot my way happy, the suit was sewn with this in mind, all the seams were down. I took a comfortable lay across near the cell door with Mr Mulberry stood as my guard. He wasn't allow to open the cell but he could assist me in any other issues. Mostly that I am hungry from not food all day yesterday. Water bottles were lining on wall of the cell at least. I had three by now, even in that crate.

"The beef stew was amazing." Mulberry being chatty for once while on duty. He intended a second agenda. Or there some were left.

"I hope it weren't wasted. 90 day cured beef isn't easy to come by. I was looking forwards to a full course meal." He waved and thankfully it the sort of answer he expected from me. I were told to stand back, they sorted out the full table and layout. I liked this. Lightly purring in knowing the smell of the same beef being used but fresher herb mixing. Full course with a sort of finger food starter. I peer about it closer inspecting the contents. The door closed and he waved I could move again. I stand on two and pose with scrutinizing presentations.

"Mmm... perfect herbal blending. Easy but soft on the salt and pepper." I smell it, "Medium rare." I purr lightly, "The boil hard eggs are shelled off neatly. Must be the tub trick." I picked up a knife and fork. I sample all in small cuts.

"I was about to say that the Mantis sent this menu."

"I knew it the moment I seen the mayonnaise." I muttered, "Bless her cotton socks." I purr more and came to the square tester of the desserts. The first cake was the on covered over by a dish with a note. I respected it being last, as asked. Sample the ice cream and other small spoon dips, "The fudge needs a little help next time. All the bits are great. Grand finally." I picked it up whole a smell with no opening, "Rasins are perfect." I huff with it being altered... with extra, "Brown sugar. Not to sure of what else that is. Going by this being a Sample of the main cake." I look at Mulberry and he shuffled.

"Jack said you would notice. He does recommended to keep playing along."

"What was is his exact words?"

"Oh..." Mulberry posed in that way to mock him, "She wouldn't be kidnapped unless she allowed herself to. She had plenty of folks along the roads trying to kill us." I nod in accepting that and Mulberry stops with a surprise blank look.

"Yes. You can't trust them big store raiders. They strip you of your car and your life if your stupid. I am glad he remembered. The last folks whom attempted were throughly disappointed. A broken arm... several ribs. And I think I had to resuscitate the one guy. I think it was London after a bit of volunteering at the church."

"There's a church in London?" He sounds surprised.

"I don't know about now. But there was plenty of places for prayer back in my time. Saint Paul's so happens to have a lot of fame. The knights Templar had a small place near there too." I slowly opened the dish, peering about the inside. Closed once more with Mulberry waving to not. I pout in putting it down.

"So hang on a moment. You just confused me. Back in your time?" I tilt at him like his the odd duck.

"Did you have a system update recently? Did you forget I am older then you?" I Sample some my favorites I can eat and seated at the door, "Mr Mulberry. For a phone program, your not stupid."

"Did he tell you?" Being all so offensive on me.

"I assumed from the purple phone case. I have known a long time. I just don't intend on being rude. Yet you are being now. Asking a woman her age. A shame on you." I am being playful with knocking his arm through the bar, "Honestly." He stared at me with processing a bunch of things. Looking to how I mirror his tilt.

"You have not machine parts." He had to remind himself.

"But I get the warning. I am not a fool. I do know." I peer right over at lavander's ghost. She was showing me mind images of documents. The echos of words being part of a larger plan. I turn back to Mulberry and grin.

"So if I talked you that you shouldn't act as if you knew there was one." I pushed him away from the door and slam it with my tail, breaking it and I step out very happy with myself. I then didn't even let him stand up, just grappled with my tail and dragged along with me. I pitched a whistle with letting Lavander known. The phantom sits on me, the occasional points and some general talk.

"Lock a women in a cell and asking her age. Feeding her a last meal. I feel like I am on death row. Screw this." I yammer and break other doors in my way, "You be glad that your just coming with because your my brother's best man. I have stuff being left behind if I am kidnapped to far. I will be well pissed if I can do my one true job correctly."

"You have a job?" I about throw him for a moment and looked at his actions before doing so. Someone else stolen his voice. I peer deeply at Mulberry, the sounds of someone flipping out at a desk and dropping a mic. I turn back with looking this area.

"I am going back to the city. Idiots." I see that Mulberry isn't comfortable about my direction. Yet I am following the smells. I got to a water filter and kicked a grate out of my way. I put him down there first. I jump following. He is really disgusted, "Chill it's cleaner then you assume. If it was raw sewage I would have vomited." I lost lavander's connection but I sense her searching for me. It was plenty to navigate to another grate above. I climb up to surface, peer outside the fresh air and tail plucked Mulberry with me. I reconnect again, showing her my view around me. It was a underground pipeline that nearly left the edge of the dome networks. I sat Mulberry on my back and trot us both. I came to a tree and waved a bird down.

"Excuse me. I need some direction." Dropping any sense of human mockery tone. I allowed whatever came naturally as it sounds. Animals respect this harsh painted reality.

"Lady Kate! What you doing 9 miles from a radiation storm?"

"Old habits die hard. I used to go through them for scraps." The bird sighed and wing directs about several creature alliance areas. Some names and recommendations. Flew away when the breeze into the center of some ash fall started hitting.

"It wasn't part of the plan." The remote user sounds scared.

"Leave it to me to derail any kidnapping." I picked a direction and lean to go for a full pelt. I posed with listening into the drain. A back foot kicking it closed. I but wiggle just to the last adjustment, "I will repair your arms later, Mr Mulberry. Or turn you back on." The core battery only was all that I targeted. I listened to him losing power. For sure when there was no a lot of energy, I better held him to me.

The released myself into the full strides, covering larger distance then I thought I could. Nor was this as exhausting as I assumed. I broken past the safety geographical fencing which was why Mulberry had to be lightly disabled. I was over four hours of enjoying my run. Slammed through a motorway barrier, and clawed the floor in slowing my momentum. This was dust western territory, so I have to be respectful of other users. But my looks parted crowds like the sea for Moses. I found a old machine I once traded with and gave my call card gesture. Very quickly to cater to me. Mostly that they helped Mulberry back.

"How are we here?" He asked in waking up and peers about really confused, "What happened in the 6 hours I have been out of it?" He tries to recall, "I was hacked." He found some signal with the network to the domes. He froze up. I lay down and wait. Lavander was exhausted so she was gone.

"2." payment and I peer deeply, "1.5" Deeper, "0.9" I shake on that. I made Mulberry pay. I posed his hand and they payment went through. He jolted with money disappearing. He looks at his patch work at the battery and back at me.

"We crossed the geographical fencing. The signal your getting is a zoo line." I told him, "It was either your wires or your arms." He narrow at me, "Besides you have a phone signal here too. It wouldn't be hard to call for a pick up. A short drive to either star fish or another jumping the geographical fencing towards Scotland."

"The giger counter is at melting point for water that direction." I stare waiting. I also noticed that once again, my eyes care not if it was dark or light. I had decent sight either way. Not perfect for details but I had always needed glasses when I worked for photography of cells. Listening to the crowds slowly accepting I was not going to hurt them. The motor way night life stumbles about us. Mulberry posed with deep conversation with the signal connection.

"We are heading to where exactly?"

"One the core maintenance network room towers. I have things to check in with." The raised more confusion then answers, "Did you know that I was appointed treasury? I have stuff to protect you know. Hide stuff that fell with me."

The sudden jolt of him about to hit me is stopped short. It is because I have a human cells, the laws around me as still as they were when machine were first made. No system since has even fixed this no human harm function - even in ai. They would have hit me if I had a computer inside me or if we were past the geographical fencing of which the lost signal to the dome could lead to me being mistaken for a mindless plague victim. My orginal name and dome registration has been active - regardless of my near deaths and caccoons stages.

"boop." I had to after such things just to play him. Poking his hand with a purr, "Don't you miss me having machine parts? I don't have any. They took it out of me when I went in orbit. All that nanotechnology was returned to my brother I hope or self deconstruct." The stare at me was for sure going to be or had meant to be fear. He had even backed away 4 steps among the crowds. He did indeed then start running away, my tail pulls him back to me. I had a good hold of his torso, meaning he can't rip a limb off to run. I pouted as he scrambles afraid. The crowds around thought nothing strange of it, these sorts of actions had normality around here. Humans put into machines act this way. I don't know if this was Mulberry himself or the hacker. Either way.... I throw him to my back and walk us to the nearest caravan transport. See about if anyone was going the same direction as me. Group walks is safer then being alone. I can't rely on Mulberry in the way that he is.
