Arc 2: Learn, Adapt, Kill - Chapter 24

"Ugh..." I groan in exhaustion.

"There. There." Ruby pats my head and smiles affectionately.

"I'm split between being happy that Ruby has someone to take care of her, but also a little embarrassed that I had sex with the same person my daughter loves." Summer said from the side of the table where she was eating lunch with everyone else.

"Just be happy that the man we had sex with is a nice guy and not an asshole who pimped out his lovers for favors." Willow patted Summer on the shoulder. "Especially when that's all we can give him, because if it wasn't for him. We wouldn't be able to come back to life."

"I agree with my mother. I never thought I'd see Weiss again." Winter hugs Weiss with a beaming smile on her face.

"I kind of wish you guys didn't have sex with Jin, since there was no need for that." Weiss has a tired look on her face. "He didn't even ask for it."

"No, but that's what Miss Makima over here asked for in exchange for her help in making it easier for little Ruby to create the summoning circle, and then your lover, Jin, provided all the materials needed to bring the three of us back to life and Miss Shouko provided us the bodies to contain our souls." Winter replied, tapping Weiss on the nose.

"Why did you even ask that anyway, Makima?" Weiss turns to look at Makima, who is eating a slice of blueberry pie.

"Well, I made a few calls while everyone else was waiting for Ruby's summoning to go through. Summer, Willow, and Winter are temporarily hired under my service as an exchange between the Hell pantheon and the Eldritch pantheon." Makima takes a sip from her coffee cup before smiling at me. "I can't tell you what the deal is, but it's beneficial for both sides. And I have sad news: I'll have to leave early, which is terrible, because a vacation with you, Jin, is just delightful. I'm going to take Summer, Willow, and Winter for some personal training to bring them up to speed to match my standards."

"I'm staying." Shouko whispered when she saw me looking in her direction after Makima had finished.

"Yeah, Shouko's pantheon won't let her return to work anytime soon. A group of misfits is going crazy because of her absence, and that has to be solved before the idea of her coming back can be considered." Makima let out a chuckle, showing how amused she was by the chaos that was going on back in Heaven's pantheon.

"Um, when are we leaving?" Summer looks at Ruby with a sad face, not wanting to leave anytime soon.

"Like right now. And don't worry, I'll let the three of you call Ruby and Weiss during break times. They will retrieve your calls through Ghost." Makima snaps her fingers, causing a pitch-black vortex to appear directly behind her. "Also, Jin. You can still use my powers, but be prepared to pay the price." She smiles, then stands and signals the three to go through the portal first.

I got up from the floor with my head on Ruby's lap and let Ruby hug her mother before she left. Surprisingly, I received hugs from the three of them as well, thanking me once again for reuniting them with their daughter/sister and giving them a second chance at life.

As we watch, the four of them walk through the portal. It closes immediately after Makima has completely passed through.

The room went quiet for a few minutes, and we all stood in the same place, not moving around very much until it started to get a little awkward without anyone saying anything.

I notice that Shouko begins to look around in silence. It was impossible for her to be the one to start the conversation. Besides, she was holding my hand and I could feel it trembling slightly without having to rely on En to feel it.

Ruby had a bored look on her face, but the way she kept looking at the same spot where the portal was. I could tell she must be missing her mother already and had only been able to talk to her for a day after resurrecting her back to life. Well, like around a few hours until Makima wanted an orgy party.

The summoning circle took only a few minutes to make with Makima's help after she received the design of the summoning circle from Ruby, and she didn't have to do anything else after that. The bodies for the souls of Summer, Willow, and Winter to be put into was something I didn't think about until Shouko shockingly created three bodies that are almost exactly like Summer, Willow, and Winter in the canon series.

Almost is the keyword, because the difference is that they are like Ruby and Weiss in body figures. The hentai logic is still at work, even though Shouko was the one who created the soulless bodies.

Moving on.

Weiss is the one who seems to take it the worst, seeing her mother and older sister leave again, but at least they didn't go out the same way they did back in their home world.

Apparently, it's up to me to break this awkward silence.

I open my mouth to say something, but it seems that Lucky Pervert is back from vacation, because Weiss suddenly turns in my direction to say something herself. However, she accidentally bumped into Ruby as she was also moving, so both of them fell over and Ruby crashed into me. After that, Shouko is pulled down with me because our hands are still held together.

Suddenly I have a face full of Shouko's butt. I can feel Ruby's naked breasts on my bare chest, somehow my suit jacket has been unbuttoned, my shirt pushed up and Ruby's shirt pushed up as well. My dick is now in Weiss' mouth.

This was not the way I wanted to break the awkward silence.

Fortunately, this kind of thing happens often enough that we know what to do right away.

A quickie to alleviate that sudden horny feeling that hit us out of the blue.

Shouko held my hand again, but she wasn't as nervous as before. Ruby seems to be glowing again. Weiss quietly licks her lip while turning her head so that no one can see her. Well, it's more like not wanting Shouko and Ruby to see her since it is impossible for me NOT to see her doing it while En is still up and running.

"Okay, now that neither of us is horny anymore." Weiss spoke up, pausing for a second to blush. "Well, not as horny as before. How about we go out of TV World and get something to eat while we do some window shopping?"

"Buy what?" Ruby gave Weiss a puzzled look. "Is there anything we need to buy that Jin can't just get for us? Even then, if you have time to wait, I can just try my best to summon whatever is needed until we get what we want. Besides, can't you just make whatever you want with your Semblance?"

"Ruby, I said window shopping." Weiss noticed that Ruby's face didn't change, causing her to sigh. "Window shopping is the activity of looking at goods displayed in shop windows, especially without the intention of buying anything."

"Did you study ahead, or did you just skip a few chapters until you found something interesting to read about again?" Ruby narrowed her eyes at Weiss, whose left eyebrow twitched at the comment.

Shouko didn't seem to understand what Ruby meant, so I had to explain it to her briefly and quietly while we watched Weiss make several excuses for why she chose window shopping for us instead of something else.

"So, are we going, or do any of you have any other ideas we can do right now?" Weiss gives everyone a stern look.

"We can have sex, not just a quickie." Ruby bumps her butt against me and smiles at me.

"Nope! No sex right now!" Weiss immediately vetoed the idea. "And we recently just had sex!"

"Don't say it like you don't like it." Ruby rolled her eyes and frowned. "Well, what else are we going to do? And window shopping doesn't sound like much fun."

"Why not? It's not like we know everything about the multiverse. Who knows what we might find window shopping?" Toward the end, Weiss didn't sound so sure.

"Fair." Ruby agreed with Weiss. "But do you think we'll find anything interesting outside the TV World that we can't get from summoning/customization?"

"I don't know! That's why I want us to go window shopping, see if we find anything, and see if we can find something!" Weiss got frustrated with Ruby.

"All right, no need to yell, Weiss. Calm down." I pat Weiss on the head, which immediately calms her down. "And Ruby, I think Weiss wants to go window shopping to take her mind off her mother and sister, who might be going through a series of hard tasks while working under Makima."

"Sorry, Weiss. I guess I was venting on you." Ruby looks away, then back to see Weiss staring at her. "I'll try not to vent on you too much." Weiss still stares. "I'll do my best, okay?" That made Weiss exhale loudly.

"You two should get along." Shouko whispers. "Better to be friends than enemies."

"Especially if you two are going to be together for a long time. Do you really want to fight each other for years?" I rub Weiss' head, then Ruby's. "Besides, we can also meet the natives. Maybe they have some wisdom to share with us."

"Fine." Ruby sighs. "But only for an hour. If we don't find anything, we'll come back here and have sex. Deal?"

"What happens to go all crazy about sacrifice?" Weiss frowned, confused by Ruby's sudden change.

"Have you forgotten the main goal of this whole sacrifice thing? To bring my mother, your mother, and your older sister back to life." Ruby points out. "I'm in no hurry to sacrifice anything right now."

I narrow my eyes at Ruby, wondering if that's the case or if she's up to something.

"Yeah..." Weiss sighs with a sad face, remembering her mother and older sister again.

Ruby notices this, "Sorry..."

"It's okay... Window shopping, then sex?" Weiss gives Ruby a small smile.

"That's a plan I'm willing to go along with." Ruby smiles back.

What? Er, it's great they made up, but what?

Shouko's grip on my hand tightened so that I had to look at her, and she just smiled slightly.

She didn't say anything, but if I had to guess. She is happy that Ruby and Weiss are getting along again. Or better than before.

"All right, let's go, Jin. Unless there's something else we need to do before we go?" Ruby asks me, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Nope." I created a gap between the TV World and Inaba. Allowing all of us to travel in between reality.

"Ah, wait." Weiss stops everyone before we can walk through the gap. "Can we go see a movie? I've never been to the movies before."

"Oh! I forgot the movie theater was a thing! Yeah, let's go see a movie!" Ruby's eyes light up with excitement.

Shouko's eyes seem to sparkle, showing that she wants to see a movie as well.

"Movie it is then." I begin to look forward to it, as it has been a long time since I last saw one.
