Daily Flash Fiction

Collection of Flash Fiction. Genres ranging from romance and slice of life to fantasy and supernatural. Heartfelt and depressing. Short but fun, or sad. I challenged myself to write flash fiction everyday back in high school, November 2021. I would use a random word generator and pull 1-2 word/s from it to use as a writing prompt for the day. It's sloppy and maybe grammatically incorrect at times, but it's fun to see how much I improved. Updates Daily!

"... help… us"

The groaning irritated an old man. Holding a cane on his hand and a blunt on another, he sat on his luxurious couch.

"We interrupt this program for a daily reminder," an advisory interrupts the groaning which the old man chuckled to.

"We, as citizens of the superior nation, should always incite our power to those who don't. The government encourages you to display it with no limitations," the old man took a breath of his blunt and exhaled the fumes behind him.

Cough cough

"Can't you see that I'm watching!?" he yelled, yanking a leash.

"I'm sorry,"

"... torture, rape, slavery, and other variety of showing power is most applicable. That ends today's advisory," the volume of the television was echoing throughout the room. "And remember."

"Display your power to those who don't," the old man said in unison to the announcer.

"Don't be afraid. You are protected by the law, by the president of the superior nation."

"Display your power to those who don't," the old man said once again repeating the announcer's words.

When the advisory ended, a news report for the lower nations continued.

"The Citizens of the superior nation continues to discriminate our citize--" the old man closed the television. Clicking his tongue, he furiously approached the source of the groaning with an indecent grin.

"Looks like I have to teach you a lesson again," the old man licked the leash, sneering at the pair of prey.
