1 Chapter 1: Going home

My name is Kiran. At the moment at am 22 years old. I have 2 kids of my own and others I adopted. If you want to know what I look like, I have Tan Skin, Physical Fit medium build, I have one Green and one Blue eye. Blue on my right and green left. I have purple hair down to my mid back. I usually keep my hair up in the back. My hair is wavy. Well enough about my appearance. The reason I am here is to tell you about my 2 kids I took in. They are Cyborgs. A boy and a girl. So without further ado lets start.

I was 16 at this time. I was off doing god knows what at the time. I passed by a village after village. I finally stopped by one to rest. I looked for a hotel to stay in for a few nights. Once I got one I put my bag in my room and decided to explore the town.

I thought the town was pretty interesting. The place was more like a village in the country type place. I was walking around nodding when I saw people. Oh one thing I forgot to tell you. I am not a human. I am a half demon. If you have ever seen inuyasha, I look sort of like that with difference in skin hair and eye color probably build and personality as well. Yes I do have the cute ears. My kids love to play with them. Anyways back to my story I will tell you more as I go.

I was walking in town nodding to acknowledge the people. Now when I found the kids this isn't where they got hurt that bad they were normal human kids. Even when I saved them they weren't that bad. Let me continue and you will find out.

I continued walking then I saw a café. I decided to take a break there. I sat down and waited for a waiter and a few minutes later one came. I ordered and drink and some onion rings and cheese sticks with a side of sauce. They nodded and told me It will be a few minutes. I nodded then waited. I looked outside and saw some cute kids playing around reminding myself of my little siblings. I remember I was on my way home for wherever I went. I haven't seen my family in 6 years. I left when I was 10. My food finally came and thanked them then I ate my food and drank my Coffee I ordered. Oh Yeah, I wore a fire rat outfit and I sort of stood out but I didn't care. I also wore a blue shirt underneath. I paid for my food and continued walking. I saw a couple of kids running around.

I saw a couple of kids with someone who looked suspicious then I heard someone scream. "Somebody Save my kids!" I ran after the guy and barely made it before he left the village. "Hey you! Who the hell do you think you are kidnapped those kids? Kids get away now! Go to your mother." They ran to their mother and I ended up fighting a few guys then they looked defeated and ran off. I decided I wanted to head home sooner so I checked out the same day.

After I checked back into the hotel. I know I just got there but I can't get used to this place If I do I won't want to leave. I have to get home. I paid for my time there and started leaving. 'Sorry kids I have to go. I hope I see you in the future.'

I was finally recognizing the area. I too lived in a village. Wondering how much it changed. I was still in pain. Once I got to the gate I Took a deep breath and went inside. The first place I went to was the Elder. "Hello Elder. My name is Kiran. I used to live here. I have been gone six years." "Kiran is that you?" "Huh? Is that you Mr. Dawson?" "Yes I am still the elder. I will be retiring soon. Then another will take over." "Oh well have you decided who it will be?" "Well when I do I will let you know." "How is my family?" "Your mother died. Last year from a sickness. Your father, brother and sisters are doing fine." "Oh well thank you. I better get going." "Wait just a moment. Don't expect them not to be shocked. Knowing your brother you might get hit as for your sisters expect a hug from the little one and a punch from the older one as well ok?" "I know them Mr. Dawson. Thanks for the warning." I stood up and then headed home.

Since it had been awhile I knocked on my house door. (Knock Knock) I heard footsteps at the door then the door opened. Father did. He looked up and was shocked. "Welcome home Kiran." He said in a normal voice but I knew he was excited and wanted to shout. I walked in and said "Where is my brother and sisters?" "Oh they will be here soon." My father looked more like Inuyasha's brother Sesshomaru full demon but in human form. He can turn beast form whenever.

I am sure father saw me in pain. He didn't say anything because he wanted me to see my siblings. After awhile I heard some feet running. Then my siblings burst in. My youngest sibling Fawn. She is 10 now. My other sister Hazel who is 14 and brother Talon 15. They saw I was in pain so they didn't want to hit me. "Damn! We can't hit you. You look like you're in pain." Said Hazel. "What the hell happened to you?" Said Talon. "On my way home I saved some kids and got beat up. Hey I got them though. I scared them so bad they ran off." I didn't tell them how or that they were human because they would freak. I saw the looks on their faces and looked worried. "You look Pale. Let's take you to a healer?" said Father. I nodded. 'Shit! I ended up bleeding' I said to myself. My brother noticed too. "Dad! Look at Kiran! He's bleeding!" "Shit. You are worse than I thought. Lets hurry." Dad put me on his back and hurried to the healer.

"Healer we need you fast! My son came back after 6 years and he is wounded." "OK lay him here quick!" The healer too saw me bleeding and was worried. "Its just a scratch." I said. The healer took off both my tops. "Damn! If this is what I think it is, your lucky to be alive Kiran." He cleaned the wound I held in the pain by biting my lip so I didn't scare everyone. Then he put some medicine on it and wrapped it up. "Ok now you have to rest here for a few days until it heals a little ok?" said the healer. "Its best anyway. It's a full moon tonight." I said. Then my brother said, "Yeah that's right. You're a half demon right?" "Yeah." My dad and the healer moved me to a bed and laid me down.

I closed my eyes and went to sleep. He had a dream during his nap. It was about those two kids. There was a fire in that village. Everyone was screaming and running around. He was looking for the kids. Then he saw the house was also on fire. The house collapsed. Then he saw someone run in and come out with them. That is when he woke up, "NO! Oh it was a dream." I was panting and saw a healer come in. "Is everything ok?" "Ah. Ow. Yeah I just had a bad dream." The healer wiped the sweat off of my forehead and said, "What was the dream about?" "I-I can't remember." I lied to him so he wouldn't worry. "Ok then try to get back to sleep and rest. Let that wound heal." "Yes sir." I closed my eyes again. It was a more peaceful sleep.

A few days later I was able to leave. I still had a few bruises but I could deal. I went back home with my dad, brother and little sister Fawn. My Sister Hazel had a boyfriend. She was at his house.

I sat down on the couch. "Hey dad?" "Yes Kiran what is it?" Father sighed. "Does mom have a grave or a burial site I can visit?" "Yeah she does. When Hazel got back, we were going to head over. We were going to ask you anyway." "Oh good. Hey what sickness did mom have?" "Your mother didn't really have a sickness. We were saying that to keep the villagers nose out of things." "So what did happen to her?" "I wasn't there when your mom died. The one you should be asking is your brother over there." "Talon? What happened to mom. I need to know." "Mom and I were kidnapped. We were taking our normal walk when someone just suddenly took us. I don't know where we were but I was really scared I hate to admit. I wanted to be brave for mom but wasn't. Mom protected me. An arrow came towards me and mom jumped in front and she told me to get away. I told her I wouldn't leave her. She told me to go. That she loved us and if we saw you again she to tell you that too. Also to say If you ever came back not to get yourself killed and she thought of you as her own son." I couldn't hold in my tears. "The arrows. What were they shaped like?" "I brought the arrow with me so I won't forget those bastards!" He went in his room and got a vial the arrow in it. "This was the arrow that shot mother." I stood up and said. "Let me see it." I said. He gave the vial to me and I stared at it in a daze. It was silent for a few minutes then their father kept calling Kiran's name. "Kiran. Kiran? Kiran?! Kiran!" "Huh what was that? What did you say?" "Are you ok? Do you recognize this arrow?" "I have an arrow too. I have a feeling it's the same one." I got my vial as well. "Yes it's the same one. As I thought. I guess I have to tell you about the kids I saved. Yes they were human. They kidnapped a little boy and girl. I distracted They guys so the kids could get away. That is how I got injured. If I had gotten hit by the arrow, yes I would be hurt. I won't be killed. I was probably bleeding because Once of them had a sword. I thought I managed to dodge it." "Tomorrow I have some business father. I have to go out." "Just don't get yourself killed or wait for years again ok?" "Yes father."

My sister finally came home and said, "Hey big bro. How you feelin?" "Better now just a little bruised." "Good. Talon." He nodded. Then they both punched me. "Ow. I should have been prepared for that." "Idiot! Next time to wait years to come home!" Said Hazel. "Sorry. I couldn't help it. At least I came back. Plus I have to leave for a few days tomorrow. I promise I won't be gone for that long again ok?" "You better not." Said Fawn doing her cute pouting face. "Haha you still have that cute little pouty face." "Haha yeah she does." Said father. "OK so when do we go see mom's grave?" "Lets go now." I got up and flinched from the pain.

We got to the grave I stood there while everyone did a silent prayer. We had been there awhile and I stared at it the whole time. "Ok shall we go?" Said Father. "You guys can go. I want to be alone for a bit." "OK then. See you later. Come on kids." Once they were gone I kneeled in front of my step-mom's grave. I called her mom because she was the only mom I knew. "Hey mom. I made it back home. I am sorry I wasn't here for so long. If I was you probably would still be alive. Hazel and Talon did hit me like you said they would. Haha Fawn still has her cute frowny face. I have to go somewhere tomorrow mom. I will be gone a few days. I will get the guys who did this to you! I swear it! I miss you so much. Thank you for caring for me like your own son. Speaking of kids. I saved them from the same guys who took you. I have been seeing them in my head a lot I don't know why its driving me crazy. I hope I see them again. I know you would say If fate had it in mind it will happen. I have a feeling it will. If it does I will have them visit you. I have to go now mom. I love you too. I will try not to get myself killed ok? Talon is still fine. Bye." I got up in pain and turned around and saw a girl I haven't seen for 6 years.

"Is it really you Kiran?" "Uh…Who are you again?" "Its me Kairi." I pretended not to know her to see her response. "Haha. I'm kidding I knew who you were." "You idiot! You haven't changed." "Isn't that a good thing?" She was the same age as me. We grew up as kids. "Lets go. We shouldn't play around the graves." So we walked back to the park to sit. "So Kairi. What's been going on with your family?" "My family is fine. My parents thought you were dead. Your own father was thinking that although he didn't say it I could see it. I have had men asking me out I keep turning them down. They kept saying he is never coming back. I yelled at them saying that you would come back. That I would wait until I was an old lady if I had too." "Oh Kairi. You love me that much? I thought I was an idiot." "Hehe you are. But I love that idiot." I gave her a hug like old time. She leaned into my chest while a put my feet up on the bench and leaned my back up against it. I saw those kids again in my head. "Hey Kairi. Get up a minute." She got up and I held my head. "What is it Kiran? Are you ok?" "Yeah before I got here I saved some kids. I can't stop thinking about that dream and I keep seeing those kids no matter where I go. Its driving me nuts." "Lets get you home." "Yeah good idea." I shook my head to try do go back to normal.

I got back to dad's house. Kairi opened the door. "Hello Sir. I brought your son back. He is having hallucinations." "Thank You Kairi. I'll see you later. I have to stop by later tomorrow." "Ok then. Take care Kiran." "Yeah thanks." "Kiran are you all right?" Said father. I nodded. "Yeah I'm fine. Its just those kids. Again. I don't know why but there is something about those kids. Once Talon and the girls get to sleep I need to talk to you privately." "OK son."

Later that night I talked to father in his study which was soundproof. "So what is it?" "I had a dream about those kids in the healers place. I saw those kids again then I saw everything on fire. Everyone running and screaming. I saw houses collapsing. Then I saw their house. It Collapse as well. I saw someone pull them out. That is when I woke up. In a sweat and shouted no and the Healer came to make sure I was ok." "Are you sure they are human?" "Well they definitely aren't Ayakashi or half demon. They looked human to me." "Hmm. I will look into it ok?" "Thanks father." Then I went to my bed and went to sleep.
