25 Told you so

The main members of the Justice League sat around their table. Most of them had solemn looks on their face due to the videos playing on all the screens. Each of them was a news report from all around the world. And the topic of the news was the video that Jason had leaked.

"So. You guys went and did exactly what I told you not to," Wonder Woman said while flipping through her magazine

"Please. Not now, Diana."

"If not now, then when, Batman? I told you beforehand that you must either go with the intention to harm them no matter what or stay here and not embarrass yourself. Your resolves faltered," Wonder Woman reproached him.

She had already warned her fellow JL members of what would occur if they left. She was both a warrior and royalty. She was skilled in politics and warfare. While she didn't expect for them to live-stream their trap, Wonder Woman could already tell what was going on when they did not kill any of the members or try to hide.

And although she was also angry at Jason and his team, she knew that any action she would take would be frowned upon by her teammates. She was willing to do what was needed in her eyes.

Unlike her, the other JL members would not cross certain lines, no matter what. And that is what put them into the situation that they were now in.

"Icon. Any options we can use to handle this?" Superman asked, trying to divert Batman and Wonder Woman. They were in the middle of a PR nightmare and needed to focus.

All across the world, there was a great divide. Those that were criticizing the League for not carrying through with their actions, those that said the League was in the wrong for breaking into the apartment, and those that supported how the league acted.

There was a greater divide than the time Lois Lane was caught in a love triangle between Bruce Wayne and Superman.

"There is nothing that we can say or do other than continue acting as we always have."

Icon wanted to come up with something but there was nothing they could do. Jason had outplayed them.

"There's a bigger issue at hand," Flash brought up. "We must be sure to remain cautious. Now that many of the smaller villains have been exposed to it, they will try to copy that guy or become his followers."

"Hey has not only humiliated us but has also put himself on a pedestal. They are calling him the Red Hood of Clean Hands because of how he was able to beat us with just words. In the past hour, there have been 5 different groups created in his name or based on him," Cyborg was looking through all the data on the internet and was surprised by how fast it had spread.

"He's used us," Batman reluctantly admitted. "He used us to glorify himself and gather an army. All we had to do was not fall for the bait but we did."

"And now the entire world will pay for it," Wonder Woman declared before standing up

"Where are you going, Wonder Woman? You're not going to..." Shazam started asking but was cut off

"No, Billy. If I go and do anything, that will show that there is a divide in the League. It will make the people's faith in us become even lower. We can't afford that.

I'm heading down to the Team. We may know that but they don't. Or they are not willing to accept. I'm going to make sure that they do not make any foolish moves."

Wonder Woman walked out of the room and went toward the teleporters where she zeta'd down to Mount Justice.

"Why do you plead for the boy, my daughter?" Ra's asked Talia while pouring himself a glass of wine.

Talia had come to try and get her father to call off the hit on the Edgerunners. She brought Lady Shiva with her for support since Shiva also saw the value in Jason. On Ra's side, Bane and Deathstroke were already in the room discussing something with him but were not allowed to leave until he gave his permission. Thus, they were forced to watch the encounter.

"I'm not pleading for Jason, Father. I am informing you that it is better to have him as an ally than an enemy. His technology will be of great help to us. But if the squad goes through with it, then we are going to lose both him and several valuable members of the League," Talia tried to negotiate with her father, telling a half-truth in the process

While Ra's and other members higher in the League knew that Jason could create cybernetics and weapons, they didn't know about the vehicles he could create, bioware and biotech, or, most importantly, chipware.

But Ra's wasn't hearing it.

"Enough! Continue speaking up for him and I will have you cut down with him!"

Talia looked at her father with disappointment but stopped trying to save him from himself.

"Then David Cain and the others are dead."

'You have become senile. It seems that it is time for you to step down soon.'

Talia walked out of the room with Lady Shiva in tow. As for what was on her mind, only she would know.
