23 Team vs Crew! Old Gen vs New!

Nightwing was hunched over while standing on the roof. He tried to peer in through the glass but he couldn't tell what was inside.

"How is it, baby bird?" Kid Flash appeared out of nowhere next to him

"Can't see a thing. And I'm not above hitting you with one of these stun batons, KF."

[Aqualad to Nightwing? What's going on up there?] a voice spoke directly into their minds

"Glass is too dark. We can't see a thing. I guess we will have to go with plan B."

[My favorite plan] Superboy said from his side

Superboy was on the west side of the building with Ms. Martian while Aqualad and Artemis were staged on the left. This was the first time that the original team had gathered together for a mission in a long time but they had no other choice.

The Justice League got word that the League of Assassins was using this place to recruit teens into their program. The Team was here to investigate it and stop it if it was true.

Just as Superboy was about to say something, a gunshot rang out and he let out a loud shout in pain.

[Superboy's down! That bullet got into him but I'm not sure how and I can't pull it out.]

[This was a trap. KF, go get Superboy out of here. They most likely have kryptonite and he is a sitting duck out he...]

Another gunshot rang out. This time, they each heard Ms. Martian shout in pain over the telepathic connection before it was cut off. Their resident telepath had been taken down too.

"Inside the building! Now!"

Aqualad changed the plan in a moment. It was obvious that this was a trap but they couldn't help but go inside. The sniper outside was able to take down their two toughest members. If they stayed outside, they were going to die.

Nightwing broke through the glass roof while Artemis and Aqualad went in through the side door. Kid Flash did a quick rescue by grabbing his downed teammates and rushing into the building.

The group was gathered in the middle of the warehouse. Which was a large empty room.

"So a trap," Artemis pointed out the obvious

"Hmm. And communications have been cut off," Nightwing added on, already having tried to get some more members of the team to back them up.

"So we have fallen into a trap, a sniper that took out two of our members and prevents us from going outside, our communication is blocked off, and our enemy clearly understands our weaknesses. To say that we are in a bad situation is an understatement."

While the Team was thinking about how to get out of this situation, Jason watched them from the rafters feeling frustrated.

Jason was told he was taking out the team of sidekicks so he automatically thought it was going to be the Teen Titans, not The Team.

'Shit! I gave her the kryptonite bullets and burning bullets in case Manhunter or Superman showed up. But we used them on their sidekicks?

I thought we were on New Earth or Earth Prime. But this is the team from Young Justice. But if we were in Young Justice, I should have already been recruited as Robin and dead! Where the fuck am I?!?!'

Jason had to force himself to put the thoughts of where he was in the back of his head. He was in the middle of a mission and needed to complete it.

[Velocity. Take out Kid Flash. Ravager on Aqualad. I'll handle Artemis and Nightwing. Ballistic, provide backup.]

[Roger!]

Kid Flash was getting ready to go outside and search for the sniper before he felt someone grab his neck. He activated his speed mode and saw that he was grabbed by a redhead wearing a green costume.

"Who are..." Kid Flash wasn't able to finish his question before he was slammed into the wall.

The other members of the team didn't see Kid Flash get grabbed but they heard the explosion of his body crashing into the wall. Aqualad was about to warn the others but he heard a vibrating sound from above.

Ravager came down from above with her blades swinging. Aqualad tried to block with his own magical, water-swords but they were unable to keep their form against the powerful vibration of her weapons.

With his weapons disabled, Aqualad was left defenseless for a moment. Ravager kicked him in the throat before jumping on his shoulders and flipping him like Black Widow.

The remaining pair tried to catch Ravager off guard but were stopped by bullets raining down from above. Jason dropped in front of them and kicked Artemis in the gut before facing off against the original Robin and the person he should have replaced.

Ravager ran over and began to fight the injured Artemis while Jason squared up with Nightwing. Nightwing was wearing his newer costume, the one with the giant blue arrow pointing to his... Richard.

"Who are you? Why does the League of Assassins want to take us out?"

Jason laughed beneath his mask. He loved that Nightwing was so confused.

"I'll answer the questions in the opposite order. The League of Assassins doesn't want to take you out.

You guys are simply a test for me and my crew. You'll all be walking... well no, you'll be too injured to walk so you will be carried out of here with your lives intact.

As for who I am? Find out yourself, Grayson. Or ask Bruce!"

Nightwing was caught off guard when he heard Jason mention his and Batman's real names. And because of that, when Jason grabbed Nightwing's face and tasered him, all he could think about was how much Bruce was going to yell at him when it was all over.

Jason looked around the room and smiled. Velocity had crushed Kid Flash easily, Aqualad had a half-broken neck, Artemis had 5 of her own arrows sticking out of her body, and the Superboy and Ms. Martian didn't seem to be moving except for some occasional groaning.

"Good job, ladies. Let's get out of here."

Jason and the girls returned to the safehouse the League had in the city. For the next few days, they were quite obvious about their going ons. The sisters went out to sightsee while Jason and Rose went shopping and out to dinner a few times.

4 days later, it finally happened.

When Jason and his group were in their apartment, the roof exploded. The group continued their game of spades while several heroes dropped in or hovered into the room.

Besides the mentors of all the Team members that they had taken out, there were also all the reserve members of the Team that had gathered up. The older gen of heroes looked pissed while the younger ones looked like they were out for blood.

Jason smiled beneath his mask before standing up and facing the group of newcomers.

"Welcome. To what do we owe this unexpected visit?"

Batman frowned when he saw how calm the group was. None of them reached for any weapons or panicked. They were expecting them.

"You decide to put 6 members of our team in the hospital and have the nerve to ask me why we're here?!?!" Lagoon Boy roared

Jason walked in up to the group who instantly raised their guards but Jason didn't make any moves that were aggressive.

"Yes, I do. Because the same reason why you haven't already attacked me is the same reason why you can't arrest me. You have no proof.

Sure you have their words but you have no physical evidence. No gun that fired the bullets, no fingerprints, no video or pictures. You have nothing on us."

"And that would stop us from putting you down?" Rocket asked

And Jason nodded.

"Yep. Cause you're heroes. You have to play by the rules. Not all the same rules as normal people but the rules of heroes. Because if you just beat up people because you felt like it, you would be villains."

Batman squinted. Batman knew they were calm for a reason. This was why.

[He is correct. We lack anything to arrest them for.] Martian Manhunter said to the other League members

[I know. But we needed to provide some show of force, even if this is somewhat illegal. We can't just sit aside and let him get away.] Flash chimed in.

As the second most cheerful member of the Justice League after Superman, if Flash was so pissed he was willing to destroy private property, it showed just how much Jason had angered the entire League. He had truly poked the hornet's nest.

"What do you want?" Batman asked the question that had been bothering him. Jason didn't seem mentally ill like many of those that he battled with constantly. Which meant that he leaned into the other half of Batman's villains. A man with a plan.

This is what Jason was waiting for. He just needed Batman to speak up.

"That's simple, Bats. All I wanted was your attention."

"Great. Another one of those types," Green Arrow complained

"What do you want from me?"

"Not you, in particular, Batman. I needed heroes," Jason said proudly "This entire interaction has been live-streamed. It showed you guys breaking into a private home and threatening us with a crime you have no evidence of.

But the worst part? You don't carry out with it. You do all this but are going to walk away and leave the people that you are 99% sure have harmed those close to you. Because you're heroes."
