In the Heywood Valley area.

At the Endless Night Club and Dining Area.

David saw Katsuo greeting him with a smile and immediately sensed the malice behind it.

After going through a two-day dream that felt as real as life, David's wariness and hatred towards Katsuo had peaked.

Back at the academy, his approach towards Katsuo was to avoid and endure as much as possible, no matter how much humiliation was thrown his way, he would not fight back or even utter an extra word.

But in the dream, his tolerance only led to more intense bullying from Katsuo, who even insulted his mother Gloria.

Even though David was fully aware it was just a dream, the anger and hatred in his heart only grew.

Because he knew that Katsuo was capable of such inhumane acts in reality, treating him like garbage on the street, unjustly slander his family, and ultimately being beaten and expelled despite his forbearance.

Now fully aware of the dirty nature of Arasaka Academy, David no longer harbored any shred of pity for Katsuo.

However.

His mother Gloria was currently talking business with Mr. Tang, and if Katsuo came looking for trouble, it would only put her in an awkward situation.

Moreover, the middle-aged man suspected to be Katsuo's father could surely turn the situation uglier, and it would be David and his mother who would be kicked out, ruining the meeting for which his mother had spent a considerable sum and prepared diligently.

Worse still, it could even cause trouble for Mr. Tang, given that Katsuo's father was a high-ranking official in the Arasaka Corporation and a member of the academy's board of governors.

At this moment.

David thought about a lot of things.

He swiftly averted his gaze to avoid eye contact with Katsuo and after setting down his dinner plate, he headed straight for the restroom.

To avoid conflict and not to disrupt his mother's dinner, David had to find an opportunity to hide away in the bathroom; as long as Katsuo couldn't see him, it was fine.

David's indifference as he turned and left caught Katsuo off guard, erasing the smile from his face.

He originally just wanted to play around with David, but upon seeing David's extremely haughty expression and the defiant look in his eyes, the malice and irritation in Katsuo's heart flared instantly.

"Not even giving me a proper look, huh? It seems you haven't realized the gravity of the situation," Katsuo thought to himself, ready to move towards the dining area, when he noticed his son still staring at the back of the boy who had just left, muttering something under his breath with a displeased frown.

Today was the rare weekly meal time for the Tanaka father and son. Mr. Tanaka always prioritized Arasaka's affairs, and his busy work schedule left little time to communicate with his son. Seeing his son still fixated on a classmate, he reminded him with some annoyance.

"Katsuo."

At this, Katsuo came back to his senses and quickly caught up with his father's pace, though his glance still flickered towards the restroom.

The father and son were ushered to the most secluded dining table in the restaurant by a waiter.

Mr. Tanaka sat up straight in front of the table, prompting his son to order some food, while he continued to handle business over the phone.

Katsuo held no novelty for the food at the Endless restaurant, having probably eaten each dish hundreds of times, so after casually flipping through the electronic menu, he handed it back to the waiter and ordered a few traditional Japanese dishes that his father typically enjoyed.

After placing the order, Katsuo become restless again, his mind still on David hiding in the restroom.

He cautiously looked at his father who was still on the phone, then stood up and bowed slightly to him, pretending nothing was wrong."Father, I'm going to the restroom," Katsuo said, but Tanaka did not respond, tacitly granting permission as he continued to work. Katsuo turned respectfully, smiling faintly as he made his way to the restroom, his hands slowly sliding into his pockets and his previously bowed head lifting slightly.

Reaching the restroom, he headed toward the door marked with the pipe symbol. Inside, he found spotless silver-gray marble sinks with two patrons already washing their hands. He approached another sink, caught some water, and lightly adjusted his straight-across bangs in the mirror. The reflection of his handsome face brought a smile to his lips.

After the other two had finished and left, Katsuo shifted his attention to the stalls, where closed silver-gray doors bathed in green lights indicated they were unoccupied, except for the farthest stall, which showed red.

Suspecting it was David hiding inside, Katsuo checked that no one else was around and then stepped towards the last stall. With a hushed and sneering voice, he pretended to wonder aloud.

"David, was that you just now?"

"How come you didn't say hi when you saw me?"

"Aren't we classmates?"

"Oh, right, I suddenly remember you didn't come to class today. Were you expelled by the academy?"

"Ah yes, a piece of trash that can't even pay for the damage done to the academy, suddenly dining at a high-end restaurant like Jireh's."

"Did you sneak in here? Then I'll have to call security to drag you out."

"But how could such an upscale place let a pauper like you slink in?"

Bang! Katsuo neared the door of the innermost stall and fiercely slapped the door, causing a loud noise.

Inside the stall.

David was sitting on the toilet, clutching his head, trying his best not to make any noise, yet unable to stop his right leg from shaking nervously on tiptoes. He was extremely irritated and helpless, even feeling a dangerous impulse rising within him.

"Why does this have to happen now?!"

"Why does he always linger around, bothering me?!"

The images from his dreams kept replaying in his mind—Katsuo's arrogant face, his poisonous words, the merciless mockery that almost made David explode. But David stayed silent, which only convinced Katsuo more that it was indeed him hiding there, and his tone became even more reckless and loud.

"Do you plan to hide in here like a maggot for your whole life?"

"I imagine what could give birth to maggots…"

Slap!

A loud slap echoed through the restroom.

Katsuo was stunned!

Utterly stunned!

He was inexplicably slapped hard in the face, knocked into the wall, and collapsed onto the floor. With a shocked gaze, he looked up at the other person, his eyes wide with disbelief, unable to comprehend or accept that someone dare hit him here!

What infuriated him even more was that the person had the nerve to say airily in his face.

"What's this about maggots, you've totally ruined my appetite."

Tang Yu did not bother with Katsuo, who was slumped on the floor, but instead carefully inspected his hand, which had turned slightly red, seemingly from striking too hard.

Meanwhile, Katsuo clutched his nearly deformed face, his expression becoming increasingly vicious, and his eyes started to rotate with yellow haloes.

He sought help from his father.
