Sallin, a twenty-year-old Puerto Rican, escaped from her abusive family. She is hoping to make a future for herself and her siblings. Knowing she had to make the sacrifice of leaving them behind with their horrible parents back in Missouri. As she settles into her new environment in Maryland, Baltimore, her job irritates the life of her life, and her neighbors tend to convade the privacy of the ranty apartment. While trying out new places and things in the area, she accidentally meets a little man named Ernie, who delivers her pizza, and they end up blemishing up the category of relationships. Will Sallin succeed in settling in Maryland for her and her siblings? Will Ernie finally get his life together and make his dream come true too?
