Cute enough to Kiss!!

*Currently the chapters are being edited.*** Xie Mei was called the Demon Empress of the Qin Empire. Once she yielded her thunder Spear she was unstoppable on the battlefield. She was like a killing machine, slashing her enemies' throats ruthlessly. She stared right through her enemy's eyes as if the goddess of death herself had descended to claim their lives. Fear. That was evident in their eyes as death closed in on them, but they couldn't do anything apart from begging and pleading to spare them. However, none were spared. Even though she guarded the Qin empire and its citizens with her life, people called her cruel. After all, she was a woman. She was cruel indeed, but not heartless. Just like any ordinary girl, she too had a loving family, doting parents, and brothers who pampered her to the core. But fate played a cruel game, and she lost it all in one night. After her family's and her three-year-old son's deaths, she went on a killing spree to avenge them. That was the night when people saw the Demon Empress in action, about whom they had only heard stories. In the end, she was stabbed by the person to whom she bared her heart. Looking into his eyes, all she could find was hatred and disgust; that was a heavy blow to her heart. With a few breaths left, she killed the adulterous pair and burned the entire palace. When death knocked on her door, there was a mocking smile on her lips, as if she were laughing at her stupidity. Her heart was in turmoil when she remembered the faces of her loved ones and her little one smiling at her warmly. "Yu'er, mother loves you," she whispered with her last dying breath. She thought that was her end; however, fate had a different plan for her as her soul reincarnated. She became the Young Miss of the Tang family in the 21st century. This time, she vowed to never give herself a chance to fall in love. And she did avoid it for some time. Until... she met 'Him'. She stared at him as if looking at a lunatic. "What are you talking about??" She roared. "Marry me!!" He repeated firmly. 'Seems like this person has something wrong with his mental constitution,' she thought to herself. She took a deep breath to calm herself and sighed. "Did you lose a few balls or something??" She seriously questioned him. 'Balls??' The blue-eyed man was stunned by her choice of words. "How can you propose to someone whom you have only met once, and it was not even a proper meeting? Did you hit your head somewhere??" "My head is fine. But you are right; let's get to know each other. En? My name is Han Zhixin." He introduced himself politely. No matter how badly she berates him, he wouldn't mind if it meant he could stay with her.  "Let go, you lunatic!! I don't care if your name is Han Zhixin or Li Zhixin!!! I will never marry you, you idiotic bastard." She sneered, trying to break free once again.  'Lunatic? Bastard?' the man gasped. He was appalled by the image she had of him.  When she finally broke free, she did a backflip to get out of his range. Without looking back, she vanished into the cloudless night. Han Zhixin came out of his reverie and stared in the direction she leaped off. His eyes were full of doting smiles for her. 'Who cares if she calls him a lunatic? For her, he was ready to become one.' "It seems like it's decided, my love. it's definitely going to be you and only you!!! My darling wife!!" he whispered. ------------------------------------ Peach_mist: Instagram: @Peach_mist30 * The story is original and not a translation. * ***The cover photo does not belong to me. Chapter 5 - Han Zihao, this poor soul!!!

Han Zihao quickly called his team to clean up the pile of bodies lying in the middle of his beautiful garden, which was now bathed in blood, courtesy of Tang Li Mei, that demoness. He cursed.

Soon, six big and burly men arrived.

The sight that greeted them when they entered the garden made their eyes bulge out.

Shock and fear were evident in their eyes.

Their bodies shivered as each one of them whipped their heads to look at their young master.

Their eyes were glazed with tears and pride.

Han Zihao staggered back from their affectionate gazes.

His eyes twitched.

"W-what are you idiots thinking about??" He cried out.

"Nothing, young master," they replied in unison, which further agitated him.

The blue-eyed man shook his head in remorse.

"I should take him for an MRI scan to check that idiotic brain of his." He mumbled.

'The young master has finally grown up and learned to be a ruthless man. Now we can relax and not worry about Master now and then,' they thought, quickly wiping their nonexistent tears.

They also silently prayed for the poor souls who were mercilessly killed.

With their bodies filled with new vigor, they quickly got to work.

Han Zihao, this poor soul, had no clue that his image as a wise and gentle person had been washed off by the deeds done by Tang Li Mei.

If he knew, he would have cursed her to the ends of the earth.

"Zihao, you better start explaining about these things; otherwise, I'll make sure to shut down every single one of your businesses and take you back with me to work at the hospital." Han Zhixin warned his little brother quietly as they stood under the peach blossom tree with their hands stuffed in their pants pockets.

Han Zihao hesitated before he sighed and looked at the beautiful moon, slightly covered by clouds.

"Big brother, do you remember? Four years ago, I told you about how I got my hands on the ancient palace ruins in the north," he asked.

His eyes were dazed, like he was lost in his memories.

"The one where a girl saved your life and asked for a favor in return??" Han Zhixin nodded and asked

"Hmmm.... That's the one. Xiao Mei was there with her people, searching for something, and that's when I met her for the first time. At that time, the Wang family's second son and I got into a huge fight, and that bastard pulled out a gun on me. I thought I would never make it out alive. That's when Xiao Mei rushed in front, and the bullet grazed her instead of me. I was a nobody to her, but she still jumped in between us to save my life, and in return, all she asked was that I find the small silver chest buried in the ruins. Soon her friends took her to the hospital, and the Wang family's second son was arrested by the police." He explained grimly, but there was a murderous aura circulating around him when he remembered that whining bastard who tried to kill him.

Han Zhixin had a rough idea of where this was heading, but he never thought there would be someone who would put their life at stake for a person they just met.

He looked in the direction she ran off to, and there was a confused look on his face.

His heart felt torn inside out after hearing about her getting hurt, and he wanted to shred that Wang family's bastard to pieces.

His hands clenched in anger, but he didn't let it show.

He seemed puzzled by the sudden barrage of emotions that knocked on his heart's door.

Why was he feeling this?? Such strong emotions. He couldn't understand why he was feeling this for a stranger whom he had just met.

Why would his heart beat so loudly at the thought of those beautiful grey eyes? Why did he feel a sense of loss the moment she left his embrace?

His eyes widened the more he thought about the possibilities.

Soon, realization hit him like a splash of water.

Suddenly, his head jerked in the direction where she left off, and his gaze unknowingly became tender.

His lips formed a tiny smile.

Han Zihao was stunned by his brother's reaction.

This was the guy who would make people uncomfortable with his gaze and monotonous face.

And now he is smiling.

Han Zihao felt as if his brother had been bewitched by a demon or something.

"Big brother, you... you fell for her, didn't you??" His question almost turned into a whisper by the end.

It was just a bold guess, but he was more afraid of the beating he would receive for talking about things like love.

"Hmmm. It does seem like that," the man in grey suit admitted.

The younger brother's eyes widened in surprise, but soon his gaze turned sly.

"Hehe, so you are finally going to get rid of the virgin tag?? ." he teased.

"As if you are any better." Han Zhixin retorted with a snort, but there was a smile in his eyes.

The younger brother's cheeks soon heated up as he glared at his older brother.

'So what?? I am waiting for the one and only. Hmph!!! ' he retorted in his head before a serious look appeared on his handsome face.

He sighed.

"Big brother, Xiao Mei is like a sister to me, and I would approve of a person like her to be my sister-in-law. Even though what she did today may seem a little overboard, I have a feeling this is related to her family. Anyhow, these people are all criminals wanted by the police for quite a few years. She had reduced their work in a way," he explained, trying to cover up for Tang Li Mei in front of his brother.

Han Zhixin understood this brother of his very well.

If this was about someone else, he would have beaten the hell out of this brother and dragged him back home to his parents.

But for her, he was letting go.

He couldn't help but marvel at how a simple emotion affects a person's choices and personality.

"Anyway, if you want to pursue her, it would depend on whether you can accept her and the people surrounding her." Hearing this, Han Zhixin gave him a puzzled look.

It was true that he liked her and was intrigued to know more about her, but it was not love.

Maybe with time, these feelings will eventually start to blossom.

if they give this relationship a try, but for now, she is the woman whom he fell for at first sight.

Seeing his younger brother, who always had mischief written on his face, give him such a grim look, suddenly made him anxious for the upcoming words.

"Xiao Mei.. She..uhhhh... She has a four-year-old son." He stuttered in a barely audible voice.

Han Zhixin first felt that he heard it wrong, but when he saw the grave look on his brother's face, he was bewildered.

Suddenly, the air was knocked out his chest.

His ears buzzed, and all he could hear was his pounding heart.

'What the hell did he just hear?? The only woman he ever liked is already a mother??."

He didn't know why, but this thought didn't sit well with him.

He could accept her child, but the thought of another man touching her and making love to her or even looking at her in that way made his blood boil.

His eyes narrowed, and he clenched his hands, trying hard not to make a dash towards her home and ask about that damned bastard who touched her.

'Wait, are they still together??'

The little brother had no clue about his elder brother's panic-stricken face.

He just continued to throw truth bombs at him.

"Her priority has always been the little one. So take some time to think this through, whether you can accept her child as your own or not. And later, if you still want to give it a go, then I'll stand by your side and support you all the way." Han Zihao continued as a smirk appeared on his face.

He would be over the moon if his brother could marry the Tang Corporation's demoness.

He would gloatingly call her 'sister-in-law' in front of everyone.

"What about the child's father?? " Han Zhixin asked in a grim voice.

His already ashy face looked more gloomy.

"I don't know!! But he is currently not in the picture. Also, I have a feeling there are bits and pieces missing from this story. Big brother, you were in the States and just returned to the country a week ago, so it's normal for you to not know." Han Zihao's eyes shone when he talked about all the juicy gossips.

"There was an engagement fixed between the Tang family's young miss and the Wang family's eldest son, but something happened at her twentieth birthday banquet, and after a few days, her parents sent her to Paris to stay with her older brother. After a year, when she came back to the country, she was a changed person with a one-month-old child in her arms." He explained as he ran a hand through his hair in frustration.

He wanted to know the inside story but none of his sources knew about it.

"But that was not the news that shocked the people. Instead, it was an accident that took place while they were returning home from the airport. Her elder brother and mother died in that accident. It was a good thing that Xiao Mei jumped out of the car at the right time with the child; otherwise, none of them would have been alive."

"A few days after that, the driver of the truck was caught. It was a drunken driving case, so the case was closed, and the driver was sentenced to twenty years of imprisonment," he explained.

Han Zhixin had a grave look as he quietly listened to his brother.

'This doesn't feel like an accident at all. It seems like a premeditated plan that almost failed.'

His eyes dimmed at this thought.

"Wait a minute. Tang family's young miss?? Do you mean Tang Li Mei?? The president of the Tang Corporation?" Han Zhixin asked as a look of astonishment appeared.

'No wonder she looked familiar.'

"Yes, that Tang Li Mei, who took the business world by typhoon in two years."  Han Zihao explained in a gloating way as his eyes wiggled.

Han Zhixin ignored his younger brother and looked towards the starless sky, remembering her cold, soulless grey eyes.

A sense of pride appeared on his face as his lips hooked up.

'I can't wait to meet you again, sweetheart!!'
