49 Preparations

The only reason alex even allowed the smiths to use the metal despite it's ability to pose a grave threat to his life was because he was certain he was needed to allow them to work the material. the reason for this was because of the stupid energy consumption that the metal needed to become useable. anything short of and elder dragon level flow of both types of energy and the metal won't even change a little. if people had access to elder level sources of energy alex very much doubted that they would be suppressed so heavily by the monsters of this world.

The first thing ever crafted out of obsidiarite was a simple dagger barely a foot long and razor sharp. it honestly looked like a black kitchen knife all things considered but was considered a treasure by the smiths. considering the week and a half of time it took to condense enough metal for this single knife and the requirement to forge it the material was considered near worthless. the only purpose it served was as a nifty keepsake. alex knew that he could certainly make use of the material however thanks to the system.

Alex's idea was to allow the metal to grow until there was a large stockpile of the stuff before using the system to create a special paramecia devil fruit to allow him to directly manipulate metals. sure the abilities of the goro goro no mi gave alex the ability to manipulate conductive metals but that was it , only those metals that were conductive. if alex wanted to replace his bronze colored metal coating in exchange for an obsidiarite one he needed this devil fruit ability. this new metal was far too perfect for his current build not to add it after all.

For now though alex merely spent the three point two million points to purchase the dragon logia fruit that he simply named ryuu ryuu no mi. eating this fruit would entirely remove the weakness to dragon type energy that gaining the energy gave him. this was the easiest way to remove his only real weakness at the moment so alex wasted no time doing so. the fruit was drawn as a red and black colored version of the goro goro no mi that was star shaped rather than lightning bolt shaped in the swirls.

Much like the other logia's the ryuu ryuu no mi allowed alex to elementalize his body into that particular element in which case he turned into a black and red shining cloud of energy. what alex hadn't foreseen however was that he could fuse the traits of both logia's elementalizations together. this created a state of unbridled elemental destruction around alex as his fused state rampaged through the area sparing nothing. alex decided that it simply wasn't worth risking to use this form outside of battle. the biggest problem was that when he entered this state the first time he accidentally caused his metal coat to evaporated instantly.

Most metals have a really high evaporation point so the fact the metal coating was up in smoke instantly should be a good indicator as to the destructive power that form had. the price of logia's tripled after alex ate the dragon logia so he assumed that it was the same as the elements were the price was based off of how many he had. alex could still afford another logia before he would need to start saving points again. rather than that though alex drew a island made of green and blue stone in the system.

The description read {float stone: a peculiar rock that seems to defy gravity and float just below the clouds in the sky regardless of the weight on it. ten miles long and twenty miles wide with a thickness of a quarter mile.} the price was set at close to half a billion points but that was mostly because alex was basically trying to make a flying island in the sky. he knew he was rapidly approaching his goal for the new world and that once he reached it he would need to relocate to a place very hard to reach normally for people.

A flying island that was always on the move and was high in the sky seemed the perfect place to eventually settle. sure the people could use air ships and wingdrakes to also land on the island in the sky but since alex was going to inform the commission of his residency up there only the ignorant or stupid would purposefully go up. it wasn't even a joke , alex had every single element a monster could have and was rapidly improving each the longer he sat under his treasures. by the time anyone fitting this category showed up on the island alex would likely to be able to casually destroy a small island in an instant.
