------------------

25 free level 1 Hero souls delivered straight to my door or wall in this case. Sometimes, I ask myself why I even summon units and craft an army only to realize one thing. 'If I am causing all this carnage, then I should have an audience.' And once again, I'm back to the basics as I use the 25 Hero Souls. I gained 56 Talent Points from that, but as talents take 100 points each, I don't have enough even to unlock a single one.

While resting next to my Altar in a chair made by my minions, I had a fantastic thought. 'Why am I playing by the rules? I can create things with souls, so why not create structures?' And with that thought, I was off. There was another Goblin village some kilometers away, and I knew exactly what I would do.

(10 minutes later.)

The second I was above the Goblin Village, I immediately spewed flames directly into the most densely populated areas of the village.

[You've Slain A Goblin. Gold +5!]

[You've Slain A Goblin. Gold +5!]

[You've Slain A Goblin. Gold +5!]

[You've Slain A Goblin Chief. Gold +350!]

[You've Slain A Goblin Hero. Hero's Soul +1!]

[…]

The logs flooded my notifications; out of the two thousand or so Goblins, I left around 500 alive. I flew to the ground with my landing as shakingly hard as possible and spoke to the Goblins in a deep voice. "Submit or die." The show of might was as effective as I thought it would be as instantly, without saying a word, the Goblins kneeled on the ground with their faces holding a horrid expression.

[You've conquered the goblin village. You gained Bronze Treasure Chest x1!]

[452 goblins have surrendered to you. Accept?]

I immediately accepted and added the Goblins to my ranks. The only thing left to do is- 'Wait. For every village cleared, I'm supposed to get a chest for beating it. Does that mean that the first village I killed had survivors? The only one that'd survive my fire would be a Hero with a skill that can do something about that.

I feel my blood boil at the gains I've lost. There is nothing I can do but lead the Goblins back to my Altar.

While leading the Goblins back to my Altar, I decided to open the chest I had. While the Goblins were weak, they had not only a Goblin Chief but also a bunch of Goblin Mages. This boosted the combat level of the entire tribe, allowing me to get a Bronze Treasure Chest.

[You opened the Bronze Treasure Chest. You've gained "Special Structure Leveling Scroll" x1, "Blueprint: Spirit Fields" x2, "Gold" x1,000.]

[Blueprint: Spirit Fields]. Costs earth gem x1, wood x20, gold x600. You can construct a hundred acres of spirit fields within your territory.

The Spirit Fields, otherwise known as Farmland of Spiritual Soil, give crops planted in it a 10x growing speed. With a plant that takes ten months to grow in the Spirit Fields, it will only take one month. Giving plants with short grow times an even shorter time to grow the Spirit Fields was one of the items I wanted.

Knowing I had not a Single Earth Gem, I opened the Trading Hub and typed in the chat asking for two Earth Gems. The chat had gone wild as it seemed I had become a legend due to spending thousands of gold on two items. Most Demon Kings had at most 2,000 gold, and that was from trying to save every penny.

I set the price of the two Earth Gems at 1,200 each due to not needing to overpay. As expected, multiple Demon Kings tried to private message me to initiate the trade, but I just tapped on the first one to message me.

[Golem Dominic: Ayo, you here? I got the two Earth Gems you wanted!]

[#### Scarlet: Yeah, I'm here; send me the trade already.]

[Golem Dominic: Alright, bet I'm sending it right now.]

[Trade Successful, You've gained Earth Gem x2!]

(15 minutes later.)

Back at my Altar, I created the Spirit Fields. The Spirit Fields, in total, have 100 acres of land, and because I have two of them, that's 200 acres. I believe in the phrase, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." And because of this, I'm going to be planting the Giga Potato as they not only have enough nutrition that it's better than meat but also grow absurdly large.

It'll take 200 Giga Potato to fill a single acre of land, but I can already hear you asking, "How are you going to get the seeds for this plant?" Worry not, for I have the power of souls on my side!

[Souls: 1,981]

Using souls in exchange for Giga Potato seeds has to be the best thing I've ever thought of. The exchange rate is one soul per thousand seeds, and I'd need 40,000 seeds to fill the Spirit Fields fully. The Goblins may not have enough staffing, so I'll have to send more skeletons to help. They'll not do much besides carry the Giga Potato for the Goblins, but it's what we have right now.

To make things go faster with the planting, I spent 300 souls on a totem. [Totem of Recovery: Speeds up the Recovery of Allies by 50% in a kilometer range.] And I then bought another one and placed it down to speed up recovery by 100%.

The Goblins should have a field day with this, no pun intended. Every mature potato is about 10 pounds, with each plant producing about 500 pounds. Their average growth cycle is three months per harvest, so with the Spirit Fields active, it should only take 9-10 days to grow fully.

I can sell every 100 pounds of Giga Potato for 15 gold each, as it should be worth it. If everyone needs food, that should be three million gold every ten days! There are still over 900k Demon Kings left, and if even 10,000 buy ten pounds of food, that's still 1.5 million gold. I should be careful and not flood the market with food as that will make people think that there's more than there is.

I may need more warehouse space, but besides that, selling for 50,000 pounds per six hours, I can keep the food looking a bit scarce but also make a profit.

(POV: ???)

In a town library, an Elf was looking for a book to read when suddenly stumbling upon a black book with red outlines. The book's title was intriguing, even causing the Elf to read it out loud: "Scarlet Horrors." The Elf flipped to the first page while reading aloud: "Detailed descriptions, drawings, explanations, and to show the true horrors of the things many don't know about." Flipping over the next page, the Elf didn't read the text so tiny it's barely in the bottom left.

"Warning: May cause insanity, mindless worship, death, profuse bleeding, the summoning of creatures far beyond understanding, and the end of your world!"
