26 Chapter 16 - Another Older Sister?

"Speech"

'Thoughts'

———————————

I had finally finished building the cave. It cost me 500 lesser eldritch souls, but it was worth it as it had three floors and a hidden compartment.

The hidden section was actually a game room with top-tier PCs, consoles, and arcade games and had couches and vending machines, with soft carpet that felt like walking on clouds.

Karasu was currently playing the new Spider-Man 2 on the PS5 and loving every second of it. I had used Souls to connect the internet from multiple worlds, so we never had a shortage of games, but it did come with the weird names some of them had as if they were copies of other games.

I also made a new ability for another 765 lesser eldritch souls, and this ability should be a game-changer as I did not want to miss out on anything.

World Marker: Mark the worlds you've been to with this ability. The marker has a fast travel function, and even if you don't want to use it, you can always try and find your way to that world because the marker can be felt through different dimensions.

I placed a marker in my avatar containment cell and told the Foundation that I would be gone for a little while. I said that I wouldn't infringe on our deal even though I may have been leaving their world.

With my avatar back, I changed its form again. A young man with dark brown hair almost looked black, being six foot and one inch, while wearing a white shirt, grey jacket, and black pants. His eyes were an enchanting emerald green while his hair was put in a man bun so messy it looked like he just wrapped it himself with no experience in doing hair.

The avatar was ripped with lean muscle and had eight-pack abs to go with it. I sent the avatar to the altar while I made preparations for other things. I had asked Karasu if he would go, and he said sure.

Being summoned to a world with family in it by a crimson portal the first time, I knew the second time would be by a black portal for my other bloodline. This would be a side of the family I hadn't met before and maybe one of Azathoth's children, so I didn't think I should keep them waiting by gaming.

When my avatar got to the altar, it immediately lit up in a white light, and I knew where this was taking me. I put Karasu in my inventory and stepped into the portal.

The white portal turned black as I went through with my avatar, and again, I felt nothing happening with my soul due to my avatar going through the portal. When I opened my eyes, I was outside an apartment building, which was weird.

The outside sky was utterly dark, and I couldn't even see stars as I saw some weird, eldritch creature walking past me on the pavement like a human as it was humanoid. In front of me was a house with the lights on, and being placed in front of it like this, I could only assume this was where I needed to be.

I walked forward toward the door. I gave it three light knocks and waited for the door to be opened. The person who opened the door was a female with long black hair and purple eyes.

"Who are you?" She spoke to me in a weirdly innocent tone that I didn't expect. Not one to leave someone I'm talking to without a response, I spoke aloud.

"I am your younger brother. I have come to say hello." I spoke in a deadpan tone with a deep voice while also looking dead inside.

The girl was short to the point where I had to crank my neck down a bit to look at her. She looked surprised that I had claimed to be a family member while looking nothing like her but let me in any way seeming excited.

The inside was dimly lit as I closed and locked the door behind me. I followed her upstairs and into a room that had the lights off, with the only source of light being a TV. The room had two bean bag chairs of purple and blue color with a shelf that had action figures and other things on it. The room had additional drawers and even some stuff hanging on the wall.

I sat on the blue beanbag chair as the girl sat in the purple one. She picked up the controller and tried to hand me one, but I declined. Instead, I brought my PS5 from my inventory as it had Spider-Man 2 on it. "I brought a game console with some games and hoped you would like them." She seemed surprised by what I was saying but had a big smile on her face.

I started plugging in the console when I remembered I didn't ask for her name. "What's your name?" I asked her, and it was weirdly embarrassing that I didn't know my own family member's name.

"My name is Nyarla." She spoke to me with a gentle smile on her face, radiating happiness. Then, it all made sense.

The black hair, purple eyes, white shirt barely holding back the wearer's chest, the black skirt with white lines in it, and the stockings covering her thick thighs. I knew who this was very well as I had seen her before.

This was Nyarla, otherwise known as Nyarlathotep from the Crawling Dreams universe. As I finished assembling the cables for the PS5, I heard Nyarla speak again.

"What's your name?" She spoke with profound innocence, not befitting her hidden power. Not wanting to be rude and not say my name to someone who gave theirs, I responded. "My Name is Eren." I already looked like him, and we were going by human names, so sharing my eldritch name was a no-go, and I'm pretty sure Nyarla wouldn't be able to hear it.

"Eren…" I turned toward Nyarla, and she seemed to have the most blissful look on her face, with a slight smile going with it. I'm unsure if that look is good or bad, but it is what it is.

I watched Nyarla play Spider-Man 2 for an hour, as seeing her reaction to the game was much more fun than playing it for a second time. Nyarla seemed to be without the "cat" Ghast that should have been with her, but I paid it no mind.

I heard a knock on the door, and as Nyarla was playing the game, I told her I would get it. I walked down the stairs toward the door, and when I opened it, I didn't expect what I saw. It was an eldritch creature with a large head and no hair at all while wearing a suit, and its body below the waist was just tentacles. It spoke to me, too.

"You are my property. I will live here now." It spoke these words like they were a fact, which increased my anger even more.

Using my Shape Mold, I turned the bottom half of my body into giant tendrils, which surrounded both of us in a dome-like structure while returning back to my original form. A crimson crown appeared above my head, and I spoke to it aloud.

"I am not your property. I am your doom." I used gravity defiance to squeeze the creature as tight as I could and then generated a Hollow Crimson, which destroyed all of the creature before I dissipated the technique. I returned back to my human form, a soul richer and like nothing ever happened. Closing the door and locking it, I returned to Nyarla to watch her play more of the game.

I even brought out Karasu, but because he knew this was my sibling and that all my siblings would be Outer Gods, he knew not to say anything or do anything that could have him erased. Overall, it was a fun time with the three of us playing multiple multiplayer games and even playing board games.

The smile on Nyarla was so radiant I felt as though I would be blinded by how much light she was giving off. Like a star in this starless world, she shined the brightest when happy. However, I had this tiny feeling in the back of my head. It was something telling me that this was bad.

I ignored it in favor of making Nyarla happy by pulling out more games and snacks that we could all enjoy. This was a wholesome family moment that my trash intuition couldn't ruin… Right?

IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME, NOT HIM!

Well, damn, it seems the big-titted goth did make it to the stage. Sadly, it isn't me, and because of this, I will cry and shake in the corner.

Well, that's what I would be saying if I didn't know what he was dealing with…
