10 09 - You're Just Like Me!

Alexander could practically hear the generic sad ChatGPT Youtube shorts music playing in the background as the Guardian leapt over him.

One of the funny things of being a flying creature with wings is that most are aware of your weakspot.

How are you supposed to fly if your wings can't move?

That is the dillema Alexander faced at the current moment as the Guardian's claws gripped his wings tightly before slamming him to the ground, pinning him onto the floor like a Wattpad humanoid.

'Ah, well, I supposed had kept my virginity for too long...' He joked to himself, finding solace in the grim humour as he opened his maws, readying a Mana Blast of his own to combat the Guardian's incoming laser beam.

The Guardian's glowing eye was all spirally, mania in its gaze as if it was high on a doze of crack.

From its eye was a red line projected straight onto Alexander's form, an obvious sign of an incoming laser blast.

Alexander was about to set two of his Mana Comets off course for a Mana Blast but stopped as a great rumble of the earth approached fast.

—Kabaam!

Looks like a counter attack was unnecessary as someone else did it for him!

The Guardian was launched back as a great gigantic figure slightly larger than itself just rammed its head against the Guardian's metallic shell.

Alexander widened his eyes as he was forced to look at the Talus's crotch, his form situated between its two boulder-based feet.

Fortunately for the Angel, the Talus could not possibly possess banana organs so he merely lifted himself up and started frantically flying away.

The golem-like Talus was clinging to the living realm, the brutal cracks and missing rocks being obvious signs that it was at death's door.

Yet it did not waiver in its elemental wrath, furiously beating the ever-living corruption out of the Guardian as its boulder-based fists crashed down like damnable meteors.

—Boom!

Another terrifying blast of concentrated Mana rocked the rock-based giant's world as the Talus stumbled back, its upper body being ripped apart in two as it fell down upon the earth, the Talus's body shattered like the statues Abraham of the Bible destroyed.

The tentacled Guardian arose, its body being covered in noticeable dents as it gripped onto the fallen Talus with most of its metallic limbs.

Yet even before the Guardian had the chance of dealing the finishing blow, its blue eye radiated colourful panic as an extremely explosive heat overtook its form.

—Zabaam

Another Mana Blast was shot, though this time the Guardian became the victim as it quickly crumbled down from atop the fallen Talus.

An earthly roar was relased as the Talus, somehow still not dead, utterly crushed what remained of the ancient construct with its remaining arm, the shell of the Guardian shattering upon impact as the blue light left its robotic eye.

[You have assisted in the destruction of a demonically corrupted Guardian Stalker.]

[+4 Karmic Points.]

'Well, damn. That's really not a lot, huh?' Alexander complained internally, though he supposed it made some sense.

The Guardian wasn't truly evil, just a machine taken over by Malice. He also didn't do most of the heavy lifting during the slaying process...

He stared at the dying Talus, estimating taht it probably couldn't hold its physical form for much longer.

He wondered why the Talus had 'saved' him, but it was probably just to get back at the Guardian.

After all, Alexander had merely awoken the thing, Cyborg Squidward had almost killed it.

The Talus released a low growl, one produced by the clashing of dirt against rock as it started to crawl in Alexander's direction, slowly regenerating its cracks by pulling more earth from the ground.

"Stop that." Alexander said, his voice like a child speaking through a glitching radio.

He spoke in the First Tongue, the language Angels, Demons, and past Humans spoke before the the Tower of Babbel thing happened.

This language had the unique property of being able to be understood by all creations of God, though most couldn't naturally speak it aside from Demons and Angels.

Unexpectedly, the giant of stone actually stopped, gazing down at the bright glowing ball of yarn floating underneath his Halo.

Alexander paused as he took a closer look before chuckling.

It seemed he had been somewhat wrong in his assumptions.

The Talus was no artificial construct made of magic like the Guardian, but an actual Spirit of Nature taking on a physical form.

So that's why this thing was so reckless and unafraid of death, the destruction of its physical body would probably be just a nuisance at worst...

"...I can destroy you with one blast, your soul I can reach as well." The Angel bluffed, utilzing his identity as a mysterious visitor from Heaven to its limits.

Well, it's not really a lie too...at this point, the Talus would probably be destroyed if he shot a Mana Blast, even if he couldn't shoot one right now since he didn't have enough Mana...

And he could reach the Talus's soul, though he couldn't really do much with it aside from maybe bringing it along for some reason.

The Talus didn't react nor respond, seemingly considering Alexander's words.

"I have a bargain, rock. One that you surely can't refuse even if you want to." The Angel spoke as if he was a Devil.

The Talus moved closer, its mountainous shadow falling over the Angel, yet it could not even a tiny bit hinder the Angel's light.

"You're just like me...aren't you?" The Angel grinned as the Talus made no response.

"I know what you want, Spirit. And I can grant it to you, but just hear me out on this..." The Angel reached out, touching the Talus's stony limb.

"I want to go inside of you, are you willing?" Alexan—Amon asked, his spiritual body showing an unusual reaction as it met with the Nature Spirit's physical form.

The Talus agreed.

...And with that, the newly appointed Guardian Angel had found his precious Vessel.
