It turns out he is much more of an arsehole than Tim himself. Darren can very much see it.

Darren didn't hesitate in glaring at Hugo. Now, why would he address him as Atty. Elroy? Is he what Lily and Lee claimed to be winning cases after cases?

Because he's nothing but a pompous man. Maybe he's using his surname to win cases?

"And why won't you?" Lily asked, glaring bravely or cowardly at him. Lee looked just as clueless when he arrived.

Darren turned back to Hugo and waited for his response. Meanwhile, Tim looked serious beside him and is giving Hugo an intent stare. He shrugged easily, "I know you're informed that I do not take cases when I'm on vacation."
