1 Chapter 1

"Stop saying that, you know that you are the heir to this throne." He paused to admire his sons feature. "To be ruler of hell." He was baffled by his son's sudden outburst and his sudden change of heart. His behaviour, however was not pleasant. He sure didn't withstand it from his dad nor his mother. It was a clamitey, how much his son reminded him of his ungrateful bastard of a father. it was normal to look like the splitting image of someone else. But to possess unaltered personality was a total different story. How...

"I don't want anything to do with all of this shit!" Morninstar was hauled from his thought. His eyes widened in realization. His mouth a slight gape he stared at his son. Michael's jaw clenched his stare became icy towards his father. Morningstar was only planning on ruining his life. He was God damn good at doing it. But to hell if he thought Michael was gonna give in easily.

"Have you lost your senses?" With bulging eyes and narrowed nostrils, Lucifer scowled. "Have you forgotten who your grandfather is? Have you forgotten how powerful the man is?"

"To hell with him!" Michael gritted his teeth. " I want nothing to do with that man!" He laughed bitterly. "And to make it even more vivid! I want nothing to do with the both of..."

"Both of you stop it!" Victoria raised her voice silencing both Lucifer and his son. "Have you both heard yourself? So childish." A frown was evident on her face. She found it difficult to cope, wherever noise was. It rocked her nerves. But to sit and watch as the two most important people in her life argue. It made her even worst. She wished they would at least agree with each other. Even if it lasted a minute. No! They had to be hot on each other's heel twenty-four seven, chewing at each other's heads.

"Just give me my freedom that's all I seek." Michael never seemed to be fazed despite his father's 'rhythorical' questions about his ' all powerful bastard of a grandfather.' The man pretended as if he was God himself because of his abilities. Michael despised the man, despite not ever meeting him. But he didn't have to meet him to know exactly who he was.

Lucifer sighed frustrated by his son. He adored him much but he was growing so quickly and he could hardly maintain him anymore. The last thing he wanted was to loose his son and if that ever happened he wouldn't forgive himself. Also knowing his capabilities, arose a sense of unease in his guts. Michael was as stubborn as a mule. What good would he do to change his mind? The determined look in Michael's eyes...

"No!" He growled. "And that's final." He had to try. It was only for his protection and others who would be at stake. There must be some way he could get Michael to change his mind. But how?

Michael felt enraged anger overcame him. So angry he could see red. The rigid cord stood out in his neck. He bawled his fists and grinding his teeth together. He was eighteen, he should be free to make his own decisions. In the human would it would have been so. But in the would of the demons and other creatures that lurked in the shadows. There lives aren't there own but instead was ruled by the person set above them. That was totally unfair. Just another reason added to his list, why he should really hate his grandfather. He knew he was to be held responsible for all that was happening. Michael knew the man made all those ridiculous rules.

"Give the boy a chance morningstar. He's young let him roam let him discover the world." Victoria rose from her throne at a slow pace she glided towards her son. She got his point. He was only curious of what might be in the outside world. He should be given that privilege to feed his suspicions. She remembered when she was just about Michael's age she was very suspicious. She wanted to...

"Victoria the boy must remain and be trained to be ruler of hell. He must be married off before his nineteenth birthday." His gaze became icy. "That's our law." He gritted his teeth, a scowl plastered his face. It just annoyed him a lot. The way Victoria would develop a soft spot for the boy. She knew this wasn't the right thing for him right now as it pertains to his capabilities.

"I want none of this. Just give me my freedom."

"Morningstar give the boy a chance. Let him have a chance to see the world the same way you did. Let him choose his own path. Weather he wants to find love or hatred. Weather peace or war let it be his decision."

She stared down at her son for a while admiring how handsome he had grown. She believed in him she trusted in who he might become. With her entire bean she loved him. That love was a variable. And variables can't and never change.

She strides down the isle towards her throne where her servants were. They fanned her gently.

"I will grant you your freedom only if you promise to return if you haven't found love and marry off Fredrick's daughter. And be the next one on this throne." Lucifer sighed. Michael was never gonna change that stone mind of his. Might as well he gave him his desire. Soon or later he would be back or so he thought.

Michael was lost for words he didn't want to return to this horrible place they called home and he didn't want love. Love was for humans not beings as evil as his kind. He wanted his freedom so therefore he had no choice. This was his dream. This was what he always wanted. Now the time has come.

"Yes." It was barely a whisper.

"As you wish."

With the snap of Lucifer's finger everything went black.
